  • There wasn't a single emotion that Rico couldn't portray in his performances, and with great sincerity.

  • There was only one Caruso and this tells us why.

    Absolutely agree with you.

  • This particular recording was described by Caruso's wife, Dorothy, as "sounding like Rico in the next room". It is a perfect example of perfectly sung falsetto (best heard in his long "ee's" and "oo's") coordinated with a very powerful lower register to create a truly great voice, even late in his life. Such beauty and passion. Thank you for sharing this recording, one of my favorites.

  • never heard this one,,but it shows the greatest of all,,, fanatastic, even in his late stage of his career. timbre, power, and beauty its all there,,and what interpretation.

    no one comes close

  • Outstanding...Caruso..."The Voice"...

  • Thank !

  • Fabtastic view..Thank's

  • Excellent recording Mark. I enjoyed it very much. I have the Gramophone Society pressing but had never seen this one haha. So it is nice to see and learn. As always enjoy all you do. It sure does sound wonderful, One can understand Child's concern. As the recordings were often affected by weather conditions and often the windows to the recording studio were open. It is interesting to notice a lot more room noise in some of the recordings made in the winter as the windows were shut.

  • A fantastic treasure. Thank you.

  • Absolutely beautiful.

Serious, tA - this made the eyes start to water. What an emotional recording.
