I'm just floored with each video I watch of him.This guy has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard,..and that's sayin a lot.

I listened to him sing Gethsemane,from Jesus Christ Superstar,and it was every bit as good as Ted Neely's version.And,Ted's the only one I ever thought could do that song so perfect! Now I am a fan of Steves.Yup!!

@fdhdfhdh Its a musicals concert in Ahoy Rotterdam. Steve guested at it and sang two songs: Gethsemane from JC and this which is from Eric Woolfson's musical called Poe-More Tales of Mystery and Imagination. The only full theatrical version of this was performed at Abbey Road Studios. Fab show!

@demonight2 Yes i agree. Steve is absolutely incredible, i've seen him perform this live 20 feet away with just keyboard accompaniement, it blew me away. Can't see many Artists doing that?? Something i'll never forget. He deserves more recognition, which will come i'm sure.

Hi Angle. This is a DVD and is a staged performance of the show. I was at it and it was fantastic. First time a theatrical show has been performed in Abbey Road Studios. I've fingers crossed that it will make it to the west end someday. Think its going to be produced in Germany soon although it won't be with Steve as Poe I don't think.

Again i have to say, this is great, but also listen to the studio version which is on the Poe cd. It's lovely, different arrangement , simply Steve's voice and a softer accompaniment. The big ending is just breathtaking, you'll play it over and over, the whole Cd with Steve's tracks are great. Somewhere in the Audience is a beautiful song, Steve at his best yet again.

GOD ! He awesome ! The lord certainly shined a light on Mr BALSAMO when he was born, he has THE most amazing voice ever, velvety smooth and the most amazing range I have EVER heard. He also is drop dead-gorgeous ! He is also a very talented songwriter.

Nothing wrong looking like Orlando Bloom, who i bet can't sing like Steve. Whoever thinks Steve wears a toupe is just silly so for the record, i've met him and i can tell you, getting up close and i mean a cuddle lucky me, he absolutely has his own hair and is not just gorgeous, but very modest. He's just a lovely human being, so no more daft comments. Steve's voice is awesome.. this is beautiful, hear it on th Poe c.d. The studio version is more pure, without the big Orchestra sound, lovely.

Gethsemane has been one of my favorite songs since the early 70's when I first heard it. But, I never felt it was performed to its potential until I heard Steve Balsamo perform it. That lead me to listen to other performances of Steve's - and I have a new favorite: Immortal. An incredible song and an amazing performance! Is the video and/or audio available for download/purchase anywhaere? I've tried iTunes and they don't seem to have anything by Steve.

@timcrimson you can by the whole Poe musical from Woolfson's website it is sold in Germany (in english) I bought it a few months ago in 2010 it has the whole immortal in it missing verse etc. Tried to get immortal for 2 years but it was only released OCt 2009. I am in the US but anyone with a computer and a credit card can get it it was around 40$ . Steve Balsamo is unmatched anywhere pure talent.

I hate to be a cranky-butt, however....what's with all of the chorus dancers walking around at the end of the song and distracting attention from this terrific performance -- especially at the end where the focus should be on just Balsamo and his voice. European productions in general have a lot of people singing and dancing and jigging around and distracting from the main performer, IMHO. Oh cranky me.
