  • it's impossible to Don't like :)

  • No, it's not better than Elvis, but it's great!

  • Simplesmente incrível!!!!

  • Ficou perfeito! Só podia ser o David Gilmour!!!!!!!!!!

  • my song

  • Caralho, ficou muito bom... esse cara é foda! ou esses caras são fodas!!!!!!!

  • better than EP hahahahaha lol hear this guys voice and than listen to EP.

    Yes a better guitar player.

  • * * * * * for an incredibly soulful performance !

  • check the other video of this song ( live at abbey road) he plays a mostly different solo there. any solo he plays live is unique, he's the godfather of improvisation.

  • how many history have this old guitar ...

  • @jjtv101 check "run like hell" from the wall tour 1980 - 1981 he's playing that song with that same guitar.

  • Gilmour inspired me to start playing guitar and this performance, especially the solo, shows why.

  • not possible for man alive

  • Hello!!

    Nice tune!!

  • Oh God! such a GREAT guitar solo!

  • David did not learn to play on that guitar. he bought that guitar in the mid 70s. And it looked like that when he got it.

  • David Gilmour learnt guitar by playing Elvis songs on the guitar he uses here and i think it shows, he does a brilliant version of this song at Abbey road too. He's a legend, i met him 2 years ago at the premiere of remember that night, the nicest guy you'll meet.

  • anyone got tabs for the solo? i'm really eagering to learn it.. sorry for bad english :-(

  • Bravo. well done.

  • I honestly didn't think DG could carry this song but he does a great job. I think Elvis would approve. Great guitar playing too!

  • he should make this a single. don't say don't

  • im a huge elvis fan and a huge david gilmour fan...i really enjoy both versions

  • better than elvis

  • Not better than Elvis; his voice was made for this song. That said, Gilmour proves his talent very well.

  • @pawel1939 Sorry, my friend, but ye are false.

  • Heart and soul of Pink Floyd, the greatest guitar player ever

  • if anybody wants to know

    what music is ...

    please show him

    this video!

    i love it

  • Tear Jerker, LOL.

  • Funny, pickups and amplification and coils came from the developement of microphones and small recievers, then from radar and sin and cosine wave forms in electronics developed in ww2.

  • long live david gilmour, his guitar and voice!

  • The Old Esquire still sounds good. Rock on David.

  • @ltcurry Gilmour can make any guitar sound great :P

But youre right, its a great equire

  • yeah it's Gilmour singing Elvis, Vocals good, this guys got great pitch all around, the lead would have made the King Proud. Listen closely to the arrangement though. Not the slightest hint of Floyd yet Gilmour excels in this old school environment. Try that you EMO rockers.

  • David will always be the man when feel is needed for a solo, no matter what song.

Feel and emotion mean way more to me than fast Hammerons and repeditive riffs over and over again. It you can not express youreself with harmony and melody, don't bother.

    Gilmour is Number 1

  • this is from the scotty moore and friends - a tribute to elvis. Gilmour said scotty moore was the reason he started playing after hearing elvis presleys heartbreak hotel, what an outstanding job he did on this song

  • Gilmour's so smooooth

  • the magic touch of an illuminated.

    I can't but take a deep bow.

  • FOr once i dont mind a cover of an elvis song. This man is the best in the world. Sheer class.

  • ... splendido! Ma è andato a suonare in pigiama?

    William

  • Même à plus de soixante ans il a toujours la classe david.

à quand un concert de pink floyd????

Peut-être jamais et s'est dommage pour tous ceux qui aime

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I had to watch this several times!

  • Wow.

  • Good Job.

  • The sound of that guitar and voice are just unbelievably exquisite. The guitar itself looks like it's seen a lot of sweat and many nights!

  • u said it buddy

  • This guitar is his famous 1955 Fender Esquire. Seymour Duncan had this guitar before him, and it was he who added second(neck) pickup. I would also mention amp (it sounds to me like some vintage tube Fender), which is also responsible for this great guitar sound. I am not 100% sure about this but I think it is that tweed amp that you can see behing Gilmour in some scenes.

Song is great, I like both original and this cover version

  • Really G-R-E-A-T as expected ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Gilmour: you are the BEST ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ :)))))))

  • omg

  • Gosto muito dessa música!Obrigado por postá-la aqui.

    Take care Kátia.

  • a king doing a version of the kings song. awesome.

  • well sayd :)

  • check this version( watch?v=7hose5E_5YI )

  • Then he as taken a Tele, and an esquire neck on and off after adding the tele pick guard and different pickups thru the years. I have a pic in front of me with Esquire on it. Who cares, i am sure he has hundreds of necks, and pickups laying around. Ever heard of moding.

  • check this version( watch?v=7hose5E_5YI )

  • Terrific I loved Elvis 's and this is awsome

  • That Esquire did talk, from 1:50 untill 2:56 in the song, lol. Just busting. And it talked ever so sweet.

  • is not a Esquire

  • that is one of David's favorite guitars. 1955 Esquire that he bought from Seymour Duncan in the mid 70's. he used it on "the wall" tour as well.

  • is not a Esquire

  • Amazed you realized it was an Esquire, pre-tele.

Fender put them put for like 5 years in the late 50's. Now they make Squire, which is crap.

  • is not a Esquire

  • if that Esquire of his could talk imagine the stories it could tell.

  • Song is From a the tribute cooncert to Lieber and Stoller concert for Elvis Presely. On his David Gilmour In Concert DVD. Bonus clip on some editions.

  • His right, our left i meant, oops

  • I love the way David, always in in mode, looks for his pedalboard to his left whenever he plays. LOL.

  • So beautiful. A man and his guitar, so simple and yet so amazing.

  • gorgeous solo of my favorite guitarist

  • This is quality of the highest order from a man who has paid his dues in this world

  • I thought it was a joke or a mistake when I saw the title listed-- then I started crying from the very first Don't-- how beautiful! What show is this from?

  • David Gilmour and Eric Clapton...

Wish could see both playing together ;)

    hands down.

  • Mate, I'd fly to anywhere in the world to see that from Australia.

  • this is on the special features of his live acoustic dvd, love this performance, and just Love!!! that solo. Great stuff.

  • I have been looking for that video like mad on the web. My brother sent it to me by msn and when I first saw it I thought it was awsome, but unfortunately I had troubles with my computer and I lost it. Mas só um brazuca para colocar esse vídeo nota 1000 no Youtube!!!Thanks a lot! Muito obrigada, valeu!!!!

  • Nice one David. Loved it. I am sure alot of people showed up to see you even though it was a dedication to the King. You are the King to me.

  • two of my favorite artists;coooool!
