Squall chanced his name to Leon because he wasnt able to save his home world and was seperated from Rinoa. so he hides his true identity. Hes in alot of pain all through KH1 and 2 hes his normal self but you can just feel his pain truely epic and this song explains it all, 5 stars

@WolfBloodRei I used a program named RAD Video Tools. I don't quite remember how to use it, but it can convert the bink files (.bik) the game uses in it's videos into something else. I just converted those binks into avis because at least my video editing tool couldn't read/play those binks..

Leon is Squall. In the FFVIII his name is Squall Leonhart, but in KH (and KH2) the first name was changed to Leon (I don't know why) which is based on Squalls last name. Sorry to answer this late BTW ^_^

Squall changed his name because he wasnt able to save his world when the heartless came. he basically went into a self exile.
