The guitar is a little "quiet", and the sound isn't quite as bright as a spruce top acoustic. I recently switched to elixir strings which makes it boom a little better. Overall, this guitar is an easy player that competes with more expensive guitars.

AKG Perception 100 + MBox2 & ProTools for this recording.

I've since sold all of that in favor of a Samson CO1U mic + Audacity.

The Mbox2 was great, but the software crashed too often.

i had the Mbox 2 and upgraded to DIGI003 next is C24.

i've used quite a few programs but Pro Tools Never fails me.

I'm still traversing the learning curve associated with home recording. The Mbox2 was certainly a superior setup - I miss a real gain nob -

I even installed an additional hard drive just for the audio files, but ProTools just didn't seem to want to play nice with WinXP.

For now, since it's just me and a guitar, I'm happy with the results of my sub-100 dollar setup. One day, however ... :)

Thanks! I love the way the Seagull Artist Mosaic plays but I am not particularly fond of the sound. It's not the quality of the sound so much as it is the lack of projection. I think it's getting better with age, but I've played spruce top guitars in the 6-800 price range recently that sounded amplified when I strummed them.

The mosaic is better for quiet playing, which I'm ok with, I'd just like some boom to be there when I want it.
