  • Hes old!

  • poor guy looks like the trombone is stealing his soul

  • Boring but does have a good point I agree

  • This guy has a point (even though he doesnt show much talent)

Its good to play songs in different keys, simple tunes like happy birthday in every key.

It helps your tone and your intonation.

  • Omg, this guy has the worst vibrato you can tell hes been doing it wrong for years. different notes? try different key, idiot. how can you teach someone good technique like this? and better fix the control you have getting louder dude, could hear the metal vibrate.

  • I teah a seventh grader who has better technique than this guy. Thanks for the laughs!

  • When you first started you didn't have a beautiful tone? You still don't.

  • when i started t-bone, i couldnt even hit a b flat, let alone a d!

  • I am not able to make the buzzing sound any tips?

  • @asoccerstar43 Just stick your face in the mouth piece with your lips a lightly together and blow. It will give you a very crude sound, but once you get that down you can refine it. Maybe you aren't using enough air? Make sure the air comes from your lungs and not from your cheeks compressing in.

  • he sounds like he's playing a euphonium. amazing tone

  • You're very good. I can play my trombone, but not as good as you. I'm working my way up on getting a Bass Trombone because that's something i'm more suitable for.

  • I've been in band for 2 months and i don't bring my instrument because we're on page 8 of lesson 1 book......

  • i would probably play better and im only in beggining band and playing for 2 weeks

  • I bet he's in a heavy metal band. LEAD TROMBONE!!!!!

  • He's stoned

  • bones are quite easy to play. if not the easiest. but its abit demanding for tone and sound. probably the most pitch perfect instrument because you can adjust the slide slightly and if your out of tune you can do the same thing.

  • @lukphonp you dont seem very experienced, just because a concert Bb is perfect on pitch with the tuning slide and a proper embouchure doesnt mean every other note is going to be in tone. intonation is a constant challenge, bones are not 'QUITE' easy to play, it depends on the person and the person's skill level and endurance for transgression.

  • @regaldrifter right. and you dont understand what i wrote in my previous comment so im not gonna argue with someone who doesnt understand. maybe you find it "difficult" to play such an easy instrument or are too used to playing reeds instruments. im gonna tell you to fuck off cus ive played both.

  • @lukphonp im assuming youre a teenager, your typing that towards a very experienced player, and every single position on the slide, even being just a half step, gives the instrument a whole different feel, and it is longer. every note is different rather than a reed or valve instrument, trombone is amorphous compared to them.

  • @regaldrifter whats VERY funny about your comment is that you seemt o be implying that it is a DIFFICULT instrument to play. you dont seem to realise that by adjusting the slide slightly allows for you to have INCREDIBLE flexibility. so what if im a teenager? ive been playing playing it for 9 years so what the fuck are you? an experienced older player arguing with a younger generation who just so happen to have very little if NO difficulty playing such an easy instrument please enlighten me

  • @regaldrifter so you are saying the intrument is "too big" because it is too long? im a short person thats 5'8 and i have no problems playing at all. it doesnt take an idiot to notice that all you are doing is complaining that the instrument "too difficult" to play. even my fucking music teacher said that the trombone was a pitch perfect instrument stfu and quit your bitching. if it aint for yoou shut the fuck up and pick a new one noone likes a fucking whiner

  • @lukphonp a slide is NOT pitch perfect.

  • @regaldrifter hypocrite. niether are valves you ass. valves are stuck to one position with very little room for adjustment while slides can CONSTANTLY adjust. i can clearly see you fail to see the advantage.

  • Why are all of you trying to push this guy down, like you are the best and he is the worst? I'd like to actually see you actually play. This guy has good range, good sound, knows the ideas and concept, he's good for teaching.

  • I guess this is helpful but mostly just for begginers and ive been playing for 4 years not that long but still I know that you cant be too firm but no too loose just in the middle. But good video

  • I want to challenge this guy.

  • his sound is great but he barly pushes any air(sound like mr.finnel right kms students) and he holdes the slide wrong but thats ok. And he was namin the possitions when he was saing 1 1 4 4...

  • dude... that guy is amazing lol, not just the trombone but the way he talks... he is the perfect example of an old dude

  • thank you Father.

  • i just got back from my concert pretty cool but boring vid i dnt need any help just bored again

  • oh look hes holding the instrument correct this time

  • i play trombone and im in symphonic band i just got bored and thought i could watch this

  • im in symphonic band also and same here i just wanted to learn maybe a few tips

  • This is really good actually.

  • really good? maybe on mars....!!!!

  • thats not the proper way to hold mp

  • sort of it is the way i hold it there are different ways to hold one but it is the proper way

  • lmao and he grips his slide a different way every time

  • ill sit next to a clock, and time myself. the same note for 20 mins, then the NEXT note for 20 mins, doing that for the past couple weeks really improves your tone

  • You can only do that if you are a proper Circular Breather :)

  • @danylongshaft i'm gonna try that , thanks

  • Ummm...why not play long tones as a way to improve your tone? It gives you plenty of time to hear the not and focus on the sound and ways to improve it.
