"Take your tornado precautions now" - geez by that point in the day I had seen two F1's and one F5 here near Capshaw and Old RR Bed Road. Nerves were wracked and we had been taking precautions all day. Our sirens and power had just failed due to our Nuke plant and trans. lines being hit. He gets exited, I used to laugh about him nearly hyperventilating once in '06....I don't laugh at him anymore....he IS our most experienced meteorologist regardless. They ALL did a hell of a job that day.

He's clarifying to people who think that Tornados are just that spinny cloud you see on TV. He's saying that just because there's no visible cloud vortex, doesn't mean that the wind hasn't started whipping up in that area.
if you die on Dan's watch it is you own fault. I used to get so mad at my X for watching this during every storm. Well this one hit my home. Thanks Dan for keeping us informed, you are the best weather man ever.

I saw this tornado come through my neighborhood but it did not land thankful! That was a mean looking cloud.
