My Rotweiller wants to learn to fly I've made wings that strap to her harness & tried out the wings from a 12 storey building with the equivalent weight of my K9 tied to the wings. The wings work. is my 3 month old Rotweiller old enough to land safely from 12 storeys with me communicating by walkie talkie,..???

how do i stop my rottie worrying about her food supply stored in the garage shes not food aggressive but knows its out there and feels she needs to guard it by sitting by the back door showing anxious behaviour(.ps she is a rescue dog), she was at first guarding it in the kitchen cupboard so we put it outside and i think its made her worse. she is otherwise a very chilled out dog.!
can someone help? i got her pretty well trained now and she is able to keep her attention on what i ask of her for most of the day but when she is developing hydrogen bombs in my basement she always messes up during the fusing of the helium nuclei, its staring to get annoying, these things arent cheap.
p.s cesar millan wouldn't help me for whatever reason.
@spicmanz I think you need to show her what the bomb can do, so take it to the playground, let it go off and show her that it's "bad." When enough small children have died you let her see what her bomb did, this will most likely work after 3-4 tries.

I used these exact same techniques to train my Rottie- I got compliments all the time about how well behaved she was. She was never hit, either, so she never flinched or batted her eyes when ever her head was petted. Positive reinforcement and patience!

@weaponsdrawn doggie treats from the shops tend to have alot of additives.. I use sausages. plain ones (Walls are the best) even chicken is good. (depends what you dog prefers. Grill the meat, cut them up and voila, delicious doggie treats. plus with the sausages you can have their attention ALOT longer as they love them, with doggie treat my dogs got bored of them after 5 tries. walls sausages kept me going for almost 40 mins.
American Bred FTL. German is so much better. and i swear theres more than just looks difference. my sister and i both have German and they seem so much smarter and more fun than my uncles American.

I had difficulty in doing my rottweiller lay dowm, but after I broke his two hind legs i did not face any more problem. Actually now I can no longer make him stand. What should i do?

This women has no idea how to train a dog. Right off the bat its obvious. Shes says "good girl" when trying to get her attention, this is telling the dog that staring at stuff off camera is the right thing to do.

I don't know whats so bad about the dog being on her haunches. She is still down, so whats the big deal? Any one who has trained a dog know any reason why this woman made the dog go on one hip?
I'm not in favor of training dogs that strong, I want them to grow their own character as much as possible, but it is a Rottweiler here and I know they can be stubborn :).
Having the dog on her haunches instead of fully laying down will make them move up/stand way faster. Slightest suggestion/attention focussing on something else and off they go. That's why I assume. She's actually quite good. (from what I have seen in these 2m25secs :p)
Well I'm no expert but giving a dog a treat to do something like lay down is no good im my eyes because they are smart and if you give a treat each time they'll catch on and think hmm if I do this I get this and start doing it just for the treat and when you dont have treat they wont respond happened to my friend.I prefer praising the dog with a enthusiastic good boy/girl works better WITH NO TREATS but thats only an opinion.
teaching a rott to lay down is no different than teaching a shi-tzu to lay down... get a piece of food, tell them laydown, direct the dog to lay down, say good boy/girl, give them the food and repeat... my rott learned that way

every adoption agency around here charges upwards of $100 to adopt a dog. the Great Dane shelter charges $250 to adopt... they are making profits too... they already have a full volunteer staff who takes car of the animals themselfs and have people donate to them all the time.

@confispect german sheperds are a little my high strung so if your more active and go jogging get a shepperd. if you are more laid back and just hang around home get a rottweiller. i have one of each and the rott is happy to laze about all day and the sheperd runs around non stop
If anyone is thinking about owning a rottweiler, I say go for it. I had a rottweiler and found them to be the greatest dogs ever. Miss him heaps. And if ever own another dog, it'll be only a rottweiler.
with my female rott i would just have to point to the ground w/o saying a word and she would lay down. These are very intelligent breeds.bottom line is it takes a lot of time and patience. if you have a pickup truck,be careful putting them in the back,they are very territorial!

I'm not in favor of training dogs that strong, I want them to grow their own character as much as possible, but it is a Rottweiler here and I know they can be stubborn :).
Having the dog on her haunches instead of fully laying down will make them move up/stand way faster. Slightest suggestion/attention focussing on something else and off they go. That's why I assume. She's actually quite good. (from what I have seen in these 2m25secs :p)

Well I'm no expert but giving a dog a treat to do something like lay down is no good im my eyes because they are smart and if you give a treat each time they'll catch on and think hmm if I do this I get this and start doing it just for the treat and when you dont have treat they wont respond happened to my friend.I prefer praising the dog with a enthusiastic good boy/girl works better WITH NO TREATS but thats only an opinion.

teaching a rott to lay down is no different than teaching a shi-tzu to lay down... get a piece of food, tell them laydown, direct the dog to lay down, say good boy/girl, give them the food and repeat... my rott learned that way

every adoption agency around here charges upwards of $100 to adopt a dog. the Great Dane shelter charges $250 to adopt... they are making profits too... they already have a full volunteer staff who takes car of the animals themselfs and have people donate to them all the time.
but i agree to never buy from pet stores, those dogs are coming from puppy mills which are horrible places.

with my female rott i would just have to point to the ground w/o saying a word and she would lay down. These are very intelligent breeds.bottom line is it takes a lot of time and patience. if you have a pickup truck,be careful putting them in the back,they are very territorial!

This is how people end up being murdered!!by thinking that every dog can be trained...I knew this pure bred Rottweiler,165 pounds,didnt know his height,he had a massive chest with built legs,he was wild as fuck,his owner tried to train him,didnt work,they just open his cage at night from above so he doesnt attack,and early in the mornin they lure him with meat back to his cage to close it!!Not in America!!He killed like 3 thieves or so!!!Shit was nasty!!
