Lovely Grandma and nice recipe too! All of us need to preserve our recipes because they will not be there forever. I would always buy the bread and butter pickles the old ladies at our local fairs made, but it got harder and harder to find them as the ladies passed on. I finally learned myself and now will always have them. (My grand nephew loves them too!, ate a whole jar in a day!)
