@L0LyourFACE I think it's more complicated than that. Star Wars is an American IP, it's not far fetched for to think Lucas may have associated Imperialism with the British (the most powerful Imperial power of the last 200 years) and Republicanism with Americans (the most prominent republic of the last 200 years).
