    Peace!

  • I'm having fun so far. Thank you my friend.

  • So many French doors - The whole house is a tribute to Anakin1814! Good luck with that pilot; very exciting.

  • sshhhh! Don't tell Gary. It's a little stalkerish.

  • Hi you dorin!

  • Wow, good luck with the pilot and now I can say, I remember him when. But I am sorry, unless you shoot a film that wins best piture at the Oscars, I will alway consider "Good Morning" some of you best work. LOL. Good luck.

  • Hmmm... Wait. I think I remember you.

    You're the gay one, right?

  • No, I'm the tranny. You're the gay one. huh?

  • No... I remember now. Gary's the gay one. I'm the lecherous old fucker that pisses everyone off.

  • That's good shit.

  • Hello,Joe. I can hear that "empty house" echo going on on your soundtrack.

I hope you fill it with happy carpets and such.

  • hehehe, I like how everyone failing on the widescreen usually has the image not wide enough, and you actually have it set too wide :P

Good luck with the house and the pilot.

  • Hey Joe, Congrats on the new home! Happy Holidays!

  • Thanks! Looking forward to '09.

  • Beautiful new house, thanks so much for taking time for the update, and hey, if you're not in by Christmas, keep the WD40 handy, and you just won't really care where you are! Good luck.

    lambkidz

  • Good luck with the pilot. Oh my you have a lot to do to be in by Christmas and there was me feeling pressured by all the cards I have to write! Great place to make memories and videos. Happy holidays. Cheers, Lesley

  • A little update's better than nothing I suppose. =) The house looks great. I love the red kitchen. Good luck on the pilot.

  • The video was really great, right up to 2:45. You should have used expanding foam.

Keep up the progress, so you can get your butt back here to amuse us! :-D

    Later.

  • Oh good call. I'll try that next.

  • lol That should free your mind.

  • cant wait to see the finished house. i hope you get some help to get everything done by Christmas!

  • nice to see an update from you.. the new house is lookin' lovely! :)

  • Hi Clare! :)

  • Thanks! When you coming to visit? :^)

  • Alrighty then.... lol

  • Good to see ya, Joe...the house is looking really nice. Hope you guys make it in there by Christmas. Marissa really should know better than to leave you alone with noxious chemicals...

  • Thanks Mike. We'll be in, even if we're not 100% done.

  • It does show up as an HD source for me.

You can try - Bump your bit rate up to 3000 constant and make sure your editing software isn't set to letterbox.

If you're on MAC trippy put up a tutorial on his CTFXC channel.

  • I saw Trippy's vid. Had all the same settings. Must be something with the FC settings. I'll figure it out. Thanks.

  • FWIW - I got wide screen to work on my latest video exporting from Final Cut to a Quicktime movie, setting the Size to "Custom, 640x360," "Preserve Aspect Ratio" not checked. I think I had "Deinterlace" checked.

  • Cool, thanks!

  • to widescreen or not to widescreen....

At first glance, i thought you were gonna switch spots the whole vid.. LOL Congrats on the TV pilot work! :D

  • The ending made up for everything! Good luck with everything!

  • Nice looking house, WD40 gives a special oily high right...

  • Best of luck with the new house.

I'm assuming you're still in LI...

  • 3 weeks!!! I'm guessing you're not working solo, we're 'trying' to get in by Christmas also.

  • Yea, I have help but it's a challenge. Good luck to you.

  • miss u

  • Miss you too! How's your new place?

  • its nice! u have to come by!

  • I don't envy you on building a house. That is a lot of work!

  • nah.. it's fun.

  • Too wide, looks like you did anamorphic wide screen. Stick with 1280x720 or 640x360. It should be 16:9.

    I like your place!

  • If that is what you did, then answer this, When your video is finished rendering and you view it before it goes to Youtube is it showing the black bars there too? What is your source resolution from your camera and what is the final resolution before you send it to Youtube?

  • Camera is set to 16:9, rendered it at 1280x720 and it still was letter boxed before I uploaded it. Going back into FC to tinker around.

  • 1600kbps is low for 1280x720 video you might want to crank that, at least once and then maybe scale it down to find a sweet spot between size and quality. That shouldn't cause the letterboxing though. When you are in your storyboard mode and in the FC previews before you render does it show up letterboxed? It shouldn't be letterboxed before you upload, it should be solid video, hope you figure it out, I'm on a PC. It sounds like widescreen is a bit harder to do for mac users.

  • were you been

  • House is looking good!

  • Thanks!

  • Totally rockin' the french doors! I love it! The house looks great! When my brother bought his house, we painted the kitchen a deep red like that too. It looks amazing! And this widescreen thing has been challenging to say the least. I can't figure out a way to export my videos out of FCE and NOT have it put the letter box on it. I have figured it out for iMovie though. Although I was hoping this WS thing would be what made me make the jump to FCE! WD-40 FTW!

  • Thanks Gary.

I don't get it: 1280x720, MPEG4, Data Rate: 1600... this should look better and I don't get why it's still letter boxed.

    meh.

  • house is looking great!

after the hit aerasol, do you remember any of this vid? LOL!

  • Thanks... I'm OK.

  • love the red :)

  • Thanks Sam!

  • Great!

  • thanks!

  • Cool :)

  • :^)

  • Awesome lol

  • thank you
