  • u use to stretch ur SD videos to HD right?

  • i was surprised i thought i would have to pay some money but i set up an appointment i went up there they called me up a little late though but he said what happened i said my screen broke then he was like ok let me run to the back and grab another one. he didnt ask any further questions he didnt even look at it and i thought it was going to cost a arm and a leg but i was happy and satisfied

  • they get the doctor thing to see if the water test passes

if you see in the headphone port there is like this cloth and its normaly white that means the iphone hasent been wet, if its pink yeah dude why is your phone wet that is why they do

  • which apple store did u go to

  • Apple has great service, i had a first gen nano and after having it for about a month i cracked the screen. the nano was in a iskin duo, made of all silicone with a hard plastic clip, and the clip got smashed in to the back of my ipod cracking the screen. the Genius looked at it and showed me where the back was dented, i hadn't noticed it was such a small dent. then he replaced my ipod for FREE although the waranty did not cover this!! and he recomended a hard case for my Ipod. Apple is great!!

  • you should have waited for the iPhone 3G S..too bad

  • They still wouldnt have given him a 3G S ... and the iphone 3G came out a pretty good amount of time b4 the 3G S

  • Yes i replaced my iphone, the sim card kept failing!

  • one of the corners came loose one my ipod touch 2g so i returned it to the shop i bought it from(not the apple store) they phoned apple the next day as it was quite late and they said replace it, the next day i got a call saying to come pick up my new ipod touch. i thought apple customer service was exellent

  • you got me on the beginning... i thought you had to get a new phone.....hahaha

  • you are the definition of an idiot. apple has some of the best customer service in the world.

  • how do you back up your iphone

  • it does it automatically every time you sync it

  • Cool thanks for the information.

  • I had a ipod video 2 years ago and it was working perfectly and my idiot friend wanted to see if an ipod video could get videos on it(i didnt think video ipods could possibly play videos too)he hooks it up to his itunes to download the video and his itunes was more updated then mine so he had to update my ipod, and it was updating for about 30 mins and he unplugged the ipod from the usb cord and the ipod immediately turned off and wouldnt turn back on so we went over to the nearest apple shop...

  • ...which was a 1 hour drive and went up to the genius bar for my appointment and the guy was doing tests and observing the ipod for 5 mins and couldnt get it to turn on then he saw on the back of theipod small dents made by the earbuds that i wrapped around the ipod and said that the dents must of pulled some wires out and broke it and said I could get it repaired for 100 bucks from some site on the internet that wasnt apple or buy a new one and my friend said that he would pay for it in the...

  • ...beginning, but now since it was my earbuds fault hes not gonna pay for it and now i dont have an ipod. and i know most of it is my friends fault but the genius guy didnt help and made some bullshit up, but i dont care anymore cause im gonna get an iPhone 3g soon and that will be my life

  • the 360 was made from microsoft... isnt microsoft grreat?? microsoft = pc

  • lol typical Mac Fanboy.. your all the same. you think your badass cuz you have a mac? i could buy one if i want but from personal experience they are shit. ps. i very much enjoy playing games on my pc.. maybe we could get together and play sometime.. oh shit.. forgot.. ur a MAC LOL

  • yea right... i refuse not to cuz my HP Pavilion Elite M9080N Desktop PC (Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600, 3 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard Drive, Vista Ultimate) was soooo cheap huh.. and i should just ditch my other 2 pcs too with Dual Flatscreens on each for a fucking stupid ass mac.. right..

  • My iPod touch (1st gen) had several dead pixels and they replaced it for free on the spot. Same thing happened with my second Gen.

  • apple are a bunch of greedy sumbags that want ALL OF YOUR MONEY MAUAHAHAH shame on you steve jobbs ...whats wrong? jealous that bill is richer than u? jealous that microsoft is oviously wayyyy further than apple? feeling queezy about the new I-surface coming out from microsoft? HUH?? i thought so!

  • i had torn my headphones and was looking to buy new headphones, but they only sold the headphones with the microphone. So i talked to a sales person, and he asked me if i had my headphones with me. I did and he took them up and went to the back, came out with brand new headphones and gave them to me no questions asked. So he saved me thirty dollars that i would of had to pay for the microphone headphones, and i got the ones without them for free.

  • Strangest thing happened to me. There was a piece of lint under my screen that could have only been put there during production. They used the lens for doctors and ears that you described, and got me hooked up within 15 minutes. Excellent support. I agree with this video.

  • I had a problem with my iphone 3g a few months ago, so i make the appointment online and everything and i get there and they say wait, so i wait for about 20 minutes and after that 20 mins they finally say go here an my time rolls right up and ofcourse i have to wait for another 20 to 30 mins, so all together my experience there SUCKED BIG TIME. In the end they just replaced my iphone 3g and i was on my way so that atleast made it a little better. I guess its just memphis's apple store i guess?

  • whoever says mac hardware sucks is stupid...i dont like macs but if you knew anything about them you would know its got basically the same parts as a windows computer just a different operating system

  • Comment removed

  • ya i have an iPod touch and i've had to replace it about 3-4 times.. all i had to do was make the genius bar appointment and they replaced them each and every time. one time i cracked the screen, they replaced it for free, and the other times it was software and battery issues, they replaced it and was out in 10 minutes.. my dad's iphone was constantly freezing up and they replaced that for free also right away. apple customer service is great.

  • Apple hard-ware is not very good.. don't get me wrong apple's soft were is 2nd to none but hard-ware is very sub-par

  • My Powerbook g4's hard Drive stopped Working, the genus bar used a external hard drive and used disk utility, the hard drive was not in the disk utility's window. so they gave me a place to get it fixed.

  • You did the right thing, taking it back. You shouldn't have that kind of stuff on an expensive gadget. I love my iphone too! I never doubted for a second that you got another iphone.

  • apple does have good support!

  • I had to replace my iPhone 1G 5 times:

    1. iPhone: Vibration stopped working

    2. iPhone: Vibration stopped working

    3. iPhone: Display loose Touchscreen had dead spot

    4. iPhone: Just died

After that, I talked to a supervisor and he agreed to send me a brand new one. So I send my iPhone 1G in and got a brnad new iphone 3G. Nice.

Best Service ever, but the Phone breaks often.

  • Apple hard-ware sukks

  • Apple hard-ware sucks? are you kidding me?

  • Don't get me wrong but if you look at the main problem with apple it's usually hard-ware stuff...

  • Well I would say that can be true ONly because there software hardly has any issues. If you take a look at apple hardware vs. any other computer manufacturer ( like dell) apple's hardware may come at a much higher price but it always has superior build. So yea I guess hardware probably is the main problem since apple wins in so many other categories.

  • Well Apple hard-ware is so complex it hard to put together where as with a PC you could just simply build your own computer from company's and manufacturers that you trust.

  • yea man, now i understand what you are saying. Macs are never modification friendly.

  • exactly, i would probably be a big MAC guy is the HW was more simpler because their software is second to nothing..

  • yea, i have an iphone and was thinking about getting a macbook pro. But im not sure if I want that or a Dell studio Xps 16 so i can stick with windows.

  • I would wait and see how windows 7 turns out... if it's as good as they say it will be i would stick with windows...I like to use faces though so i can make it look like Mac when it's really windows :D

  • Yea, same here. Right Now im running a Leopard theme skin pack and have the RKLauncher dock on my computer. I also recently put the finder bar on my computer too. I just love the feel of simplicity on my desktop, and mac does that for me. But im tired of skins, i want the real thing. For now, i will be sticking with windows though.

  • i love the apple support

  • Well Thats Just Dandy.

  • I purchased an engraved Nano from Apple Australia. I returned it to a specialist Apple reseller. I had to wait a week for Apple to return another Nano to the store. Ie they didn't give me one that they already had. But that was fine by me.

  • i have a 1st gen iphone. the black plastic cover came off the back of it because something was broken inside. it was still under warranty so i took it to the apple store and they set up an appointment for the next day. i got up early to get there and when i got there the "apple genius" told me the warranty does not cover physical damage. this is stupid because anything that isn't physical i can fix myself. they shouldnt have made me come back the next day anyway. it was a waste of time.

  • My iphone was water damaged, and they pretty much told they couldn't do anything but buy an unsubsidized phone. I wanted to do that but they were unable to do that for me because I had a business account? I had to go to an AT&T store and open up a new line to get another iPhone. Both AT&T and Apple really did a poor job helping me replace my phone.

  • soldier, did you have the insurance for this phone that you paid monthly for? or does Apple just pay it?

  • free no pay

  • my iphone first gen after a year, the headphone jack sounded distorted so i took it in and the guy said i could buy a refurb for 199. so i yet to have a fully functioning iphone can you help me out?

  • my keyboard broke and they replaced in 5 mins

ya apple's customer service is great !

  • apple does that doctor thing to check for water damage. They usually check in the headphone spot and if its the thing their looking at is red than you have water damage if its white that means it doesnt have water damage. So if you ever do have water damage put a tiny white peace a paper down their and that will never know lol

  • I'm having problems with my ipod nano. It says that itunes can't read my ipod and to restore it, I tried restoring it but got a error. Its stuck saying 'Connected' but its not connected to my computer. Its the second time it happened. The first time, I let the battery die then charged it. It worked but messes up when I try to sync my ipod. Will Apple still help me out?

  • May I Have Your Old iPhone?

  • apple has amazing service, a few days ago my macbook pros battery was going nuts ( i was at 74 health in like 78 cycles) and i went in the store, they took a look and gave me a new battery in like (litterally) 5 minutes, the whole think took like 7 minutes. great service

  • the screen died on mine

  • that wasn't corny, haha! ;)

  • i love pc's

  • did u ever find out what the bubble were?

  • Yeh Apple are fucking great for customer service, even when you phone the apple hotline its always some one that speaks english instead of a fucking indian with no english

  • good video, im at mexico we dont have apple stores, but i hope my iphone never breaks down

  • i had an ipod touch 1g that had i think it was a hardware problem i walked in and showed them and i was out of there in probably 10 to 15 minutes and it was a busy day as well

  • well ive gone threw 8 iphone first gens ive been to the genius bar numerous times but the crazziest time was when i took my phone in because the phone wouldnt work so they fixed it really with no problem i put on the case (contour showcase for the 1stgen ) and the phone went all crazy i dont really know how to explain it but it did

so that was the day that i went through 3 iphones in 1 day

now i have the white 3g and im good no problems at all yet

  • Too bad there aren't any apple stores near me... I live in Canada so I can't get the same costumer service :( I gotta mail my stuff off....

Although, as an alternative to going to an apple store, I can go to several places that can take a look a t my apple products if needed that are authorized apple sellers and such.

At least I have some sort of support here if I need it.

  • if you put on sunglasses you would look like TI

  • What all black people look alike to you?

  • no he just has the sam nose hair and has a lighter skin color

  • did he check and see if the old one was working? if he didn't then thats a good way to get new iPhone

  • cornie lol

  • My brother had an issue with his iPhone. We took it to the Apple store in Manchester (England). We showed up without an appointment and they replaced the phone within 5 mins! GO APPLE!!!

  • Both my brother and I had the same issue as you Soldier. Tiny airbubbles under the screen. We both went to the AppleStore and received new phones. Top notch customer service like you said.

  • question is does anyone find it strange that so many people are returning there iphones or getting them replaced

  • Well, my sister was talking on her phone and dropped it, and broke it, so now the screen, when you turn it on, just flashes a bunch of light, like it is having a rave, but it is okay, we just got her new one :D

and didn't have to pay anything :D

  • i got charged 400 $s on apps that i never bought

  • My macbook pro screen had uneven lighting. They first replaced the screen, then the screen did not work.

they then just REPLACED IT WITH A UNIBODY MBP

    i was soo happy

  • im on my third iphone :P

  • i work at a genius bar so i know for a fact that all the things they replace us usually refurbished stuff SPECIALLY THE IPHONE

  • hey do you think i can change my iPhone that i finished my contract with ATT??? without having to sign a contract??? I am having troble with the iPhone 3G's battery.

  • nice!

  • Be careful of getting the iPhone in contact with water (even rain).

Warranty does not cover water damage and Apple have a clever way to check:

If you look in to the headphone port, at the bottom you will see a whitish metal tab. When it comes in to contact with water it shows a pink line across it.

It happened to me. Thank goodness for insurance! And for restoring on to a replacement iPhone - What a breeze! Thanks Apple for making life so easy (even if it comes at a price!).

  • try white out :P

  • my dad had some issues with the hardware in his iPhone, he did the same thing you did. and he got it replaced in a breeze.

  • i'm glad you got a new one man

  • That is great. Thanks for sharing!

  • I replaced my MBP's screen because of uneven backlighting and when the laptop came back, the top case wasn't even clipped in properly and there was even a few crumbs on the keyboard. The whole computer was bulging and squeaking. Luckily, they offered to replace the top case and now I'm satisfied with my Macbook Pro even though it's still not perfect. Also, I get rude stares whenever I go into the store...

  • yea Apple does have great support.

  • I had to return my brand new 4th gen nana bcuz it had a small scratch on the apple, and they sent me a new one, it came personalized/engraved just like the first one. Great customer service!!

  • **nano

  • yeah that sucks that there are none near winnipeg you

know but you can always do a road trip to the states

  • It's called an otoscope lol, Glad you got your stuff taken care of, I like the videos, keep up the good work.

I had to take my Macbook Pro 17" in because the battery was bulging, i was in and out in 10 minutes tops.

  • yityi

  • I'm definitely getting the new one when it comes out since I'm still using the first gen iPhone. I can't wait to get rid of edge. Other than that, I'd like to see multi-tasking, a better camera and maybe a few other things but I'm mostly excited for the 3G

  • I got a first gen iPhone about a week or 2 after it came out (sometime in July 2007 or so) About 6 months later I dropped the phone in my garage and it put a dent in the phone since I had no protective case for it. The switch to go from ringer to vibrate was hard to switch and my headphones were also messed up (from not taking good care of them) so I made a genius appointment. The guy looked at the phone and agreed it was messed up, gave me a new one and new headphones to my surprise. A+

  • Apple FTW!

  • I'm technically on my 4th iphone 3g (first two from att). First one i got had a chip/dust particle inside the glass. I returned that one and bought a new one. I got in my vehicle and peeled back the plastic and there was once again a chip inside the glass. I went back to into the att store and they said i would have to go to the apple store. when I went to apple store they ended up giving me a new phone right away and that one had a air bubble. then i receive another phone that ended up good.

  • a few months ago before the 2.1 update, my apps wud crash everytime i tried to use them. i restored my phone but it kept happening so i brought it in to apple and they replaced it. they have great customer service

  • I visited the genius bar on two occasions:

1)My iMac's super drive wasn't working properly and so they replaced it within a week or something.

    2) My Macbook has a kernel panic and my hard drive was wiped and replaced. It didn't cost me nothing but they gave it to me without iLife...luckily I already had the iLife CD...

  • haha DUH

  • I heard of that same problem happening to other people as well. I read that the bubbles are caused when it is being made and all that junk. It just gets air in it and makes bubbles. It can also be caused by being around high temps. All it is, is air getting into the phone. That is what I read about it on the apple store.

  • yea they have great customer support but i find one thing funny.

they ACT like they're trying to figure out whats wrong, and in the end they never give the real reason behind it. they just say "yea we'll replace it" which is great but i mean i'd like to know what went wrong, or maybe they could tell us some things that COULD have caused it, so that we can avoid doing such a thing again.

but other than that i love apple's customer support.

    8.8/10

  • Just curious, did they replace it with a new one or refurbished?

  • There is nothing wrong with Apple refurb's imo

  • I not saying anything is wrong with it, I'm curious to know because many companies are doing including Microsoft with the XBOX. The real reason I want to know is because I know that Motorola and LG replace with refurbs, and wondering if Apple is doing the same.

  • yea i had a problem with my 3G iphone i lost reception badly like leaving the subway it wouldnt re connect for over 3 hours without shutting it off. so i called my service provider soo man times. finally got a new one and i dont have a single problem with it anymore. i think mine was defective

  • no the problem is when you keep your phone on while traveling, it picks up the signal from every cell tower you pass, so when you stay next to one, it messes up the frequency. All you would have to do is turn it off then back on again

  • umm i tried that and guess what the problem wasn't that cuz obviously i turned it off and reboot the phone. but it kept dropping signal, like it lost 3g connection out of no where and your trying to tell me that i lied/wrong. it could barely hold a 3g signal and for some reason the phone i got from my company magically works now!!! no dropping signal or anything. anything else to say

  • oh, well it said in the comment i replied to "it wouldn't reconnect for over 3 hours without shutting it off." and i thought you meant that it would reconnect untile you shut the phone off and turned it back on. So i said tat you could have just done that earlier. i misunderstood

  • also one more thing! if the statement you said was true dont you think alot more users of other phones such as the black berry would have the same issue. its alright man just do a little research thanks bro cya gundambob646

  • glad they have some nice costumer support!

  • lol you got me there at the begining

  • continued.... They said they tested this one pretty good and it should be fine. Not 100% happy with my experience and they didn't let me wipe the data from my phone first, they just took it and said it would be taken care of. Right! I changed my passwords ASAP. I still love Apple, but I have my doubts now. Glad you had a more positive experience Mark.

  • I took my iPhone in for lines on the screen and they replaced it with a refurbished one. After I re-installed everything the phone kept giving me errors about not compatible with this accessory,so I called the 800 # and they told me to take a makeup brush and try to clean the lint out, which I did not do. I went back to Apple and told them how this replacement phone was giving me errors so they gave me another one.

  • ive changed my iphone like 3 times because of problems and yeah they all ways remplae them!

  • The same thing happened to my iphone 2g

  • they kept my imac for 3 months before telling me the part they needed to repair it was discontinued

  • Apple indeed has a good service!

And I also would find it difficult if my iPhone would be "broken" or if there would be something wrong with it...

  • my sisters macbook broke/cracked....apple replaced in a few days

  • About two weeks ago, my brother had to replace a iPod Touch he just got. They replaced it on the spot after seeing what exactly was wrong (No back light working).

  • They used the ear light thingy to check the white sticker inside the headphone jack. I was like wow... Very smart.

  • What is that white sticker for?

  • It turns pink if it get wet. Its used to tell if you have got your phone wet.

pink = faiill = voided warrenty.

  • You look like you wanted to cry.

  • Well, lshacks also broke his iPhone. He wrote it on Twitter. You should visit his channel!! IT IS AWSOME LIKE YOURS AND JON4LAKERS

  • My first gen ipod touch would not restore, so i rode to an apple store, and it took a couple minutes for them to just immediately replace it, no problem. yay apple.

  • haha love that beginning.. nice video

  • i took my uni macbook last week because the fan was making too much noise. They told me to leave it at the store and come the next day for it, and my fan is perfect now ^_^

  • I love Apple. I actually purchased an iMac yesterday and should be expecting it shortly.

I had to return my iPod Touch because there was an audio problem. It was really nice. I set up an appointment, went there, got there, they took a look and handed me a brand new one because it was a malfunction in the headphone jack. They have the best products and customer service I have ever seen.

  • yea, icoulndt close my itouch so i went there made a apponitement and theyre replaced it on the spot

  • lol i thought u were replacing Apple with another company ;o

  • Well I went there with my MacBook Pro with a graphics card issue and they checked it and then sent it away for repair.... much better than bestbuy when I went there with my old Dell they told me I had to pay 65 bucks first even though I had a 1 year warranty so I was like hell no i'm outta here lol.

  • Sounds like good service.

  • good luck with ur new iphone

  • Yea,i once had the same problem.

I had the first g. iPhone and i had had it for a couple of months and then i noticed a black spec on the inside of my screen.

So i made an appointment, took it to apple, told the genius about it. Then he went in the back for like 4 min. came back said he couldnt fix it,so he just gave me a completely new iPhone....the whole process took about 10 min tops.

  • I had to replace mine too. My back cracked. Not dropped or anything.

  • i think mine is doing that too cause when i press on the back to hold it firmly it makes a cracking sound

  • I 110% agree with you - Apple customer service is unbelievably good. I bought a 17inch Imac (White model) and after 2 weeks there was a hardware issue. I took the computer down to the apple store. They diagnosed the problem as a hard drive failure, and ordered a new Imac to be sent out to me. Because the old Imac wasnt available they sent me out the 20inch Black and silver model. I had 3gbs of ram on the white machine - but with the Black and silver model i was given 4gbs of ram.

  • apples checkout system is amazing, NO STANDING IN LINE! :)

  • nice

  • I got 1 of those airbubbles you are talking about

  • I love apple customer service, quick, easy, fast!

  • My MagSafe Adapter stopped working for my new Macbook Pro. So, I set u a genius bar appointment and took the bad adapter in. The employee (hate calling em geniuses) plugged my adapter into his macbook pro, saw it was defective and replaced it on the spot. Great Service!!

  • Apple Rocks they gave me a new MacBook Pro because it broke IDK y

and I did not have apple care!!!!!!!!!!!!

    APPLE IS THE BEST

  • Replacing my iPhone= geeks nightmare :P

  • hah near dear to my heart rofl

    oh yea the air bubble..

  • Great Apple Service,, I have a Macbook pro that runs 95 degrees celcious,, then they send me a new one,, with the same problem, so i called them up again, and now i am waiting for annother mac pro,, hope that this one will run cool....

  • I hope you had them do a erase all content and settings. I would hate for them to have my personal info.

  • did u have apple care?

  • very corny lol

  • That's impressive service..

  • i had problem, i silent button came off and i took it to the genius bar and they told me all we can do is replace it and i was like wohhooo ye ok lol 20 mins tops in and out

  • Had a problem with my ipod touch 2g 16 gb. It wasn't a big deal but Safari would freeze up from time to time (frequently though) and sometimes my album art work wouldn't show up (a problem that people I've read have had). They told me to restore (which I had done but from a backup) as a new ipod. Since then its been working fine. Though the coverflow still lags (hope apple improves coverflow), other than that it is fine. Customer Service was good, I have to say.

  • whew....... that was close

  • if i have a broken screen. like it is cracked. will they replace it?

  • No. Cracked screens aren't covered.

  • no they dont usually replace for stuff like that

  • I hade to replace my ipod touch and I was only there for 15 min

  • lmao

    definitely corny :)

  • wow, so this is your 3rd iphone?

  • what, he hadthe1g iphone as well?

  • hmmm i think this is 4th iphone and one of them was original iphone, so 1 iphone and 3 iphone 3g

  • waht about you apps??

    did they pay for them?

  • they r stored on the computer and you can sync your new one and get them on it same as music

  • and your contacts??

  • sim card too

  • i had the exact same problem, noticed the bubbles on the day i got my iphone (christmas day) replaced, with 1 or 2 questions asked haha. not at the apple store however but my network.

  • On my 2nd 16gb 3g. No problems yet.

  • same lost it the first time round.

  • Its not really anything to do with the video but i am wondering if I should keep my ipod nano 3g or whether i should keep the nano for spares and get an ipod touch ????

  • iPod Touch

  • 8 gig or 16 gig iphone

  • awesome

    video

  • My iMac shipped to me after I ordered it online. It worked great, besides a huge red column of dead pixels along the right side of the screen. I called Apple, the walked through a few steps with me to make sure it wasn't a fixable problem and then scheduled a guy to come to my house and fix the screen right then and there! It worked perfectly ever since! Great job Apple!

  • my dad had a small gapp betwwen the screen and the metal

frame so the screen light was comming through. the apple genius looked at it, confirmed the problem, typed some stuff on his mac and got a new iphone out of one of them boxes!

  • Apple replaced my MacBook charger when it died, no questions asked.

  • and if he gave you an iphone from the little white box, that is not a brand new iphone it is a referb.
