can't really here the guitar parts much...way too low and WAY too much delay..kinda weak... it does hide a lot of mistakes but there is only one George Lynch. There are a lot of 2 handed tapping parts on that song...nice attempt anyhow ...Lynch is a wicked original player!

In a word: wow! Great job, man, really! Out of curiosity, what kind of amp and/or effects did you use to record this? The tone is pretty damn good, IMO. I know a touch of delay is a staple in Lynch's rhythmic sound, so what did you use? On the album, he's actually using a Sustainiac for the harmonics, but that unit is such a pain in the arse, so it might make sense to outfit your guitar with a Fernandes Sustainer pickup to add even more depth and similarity to the original. Rock on!

I use Crate Voodoo Cab's and a Marshall Head - valvestate. On effects i use delay, sometimes a bit of chorus and reverb. and since he has such great harmonics due to such great equipment i cheat a bit with a wah. Just so i can achieve some of the rich notes and harmonics like he does. Like you said the " Sustainiac.

I kinda make my own set...And diff guitars are set diff....Like some have the low e with 48 gauge...and 8's on the bottom...and some are with 9's...just depends...On that song...I think for the most part..its a standard 8 gauge..with the top 3 strings a little heavier...for that sound...
