God damm, I still have this VHS. I bought it here in Brazil a decade and a half ago. I gotta digitalize it one of these days, given that I don't have a VHS player anymore... I remember it being quite mediocre, but the rollercoaster fight scene is surprisingly good.

Scoopers was released in japan on a disk format known as VHD. VHD format disks had a field-sequential 3D mode and Scoopers was one of the few 3D titles released for the system before it failed (the format was never released in the US).

I would have soo watched this as a kid if it was on.

I see it was shopped around with a sad title like scoopers, but, did it possess another name in japan?

It was called Scoopers in Japan; no name change was required to shop it around.

I've only seen it available used on VHS via Y! Japan auctions. Not sure if it even made it onto LD.
