  • It's so sad that this group didn't get the recognition they deserved... and I am especially sorry to hear of Gladys Horton's passing away...in a nursing home no less. I hopeshe didn't suffer towards the end, and still had full mental capabilities...

  • LEAD SINGER GLADYS HORTON DIED IN 2006 R.I.P.

  • @OldGoldSoul CORRECTION: Gladys Horton died January 26, 2011...R.I.P.

  • I cant get enuf of there music truly a treat

  • Berry Gordy was so stupid. These girls were a cash cow for motown. Some of their songs went top twenty. A little more push they could have went top 10.

  • Well, I have the album. The photo above has NOTHING to do with the album, neither musically nor physically, since Georgeanna, Wanda, Gladys, and Katherine recorded this back in late 1962, I believe. The record release date is missing, Catherine name was mispelled, as u can see.. And who da hell was Billie Jean Brown to introduce ANYBODY?!

  • Im still baffled as to why only a trio of Marvelettes are featured in this photo, while the quintet with both Georgeanna Tillman and Juanita Cow recorded this in the studio, and atleast the quartet, including Georgeanna toured onstage!?

  • i like the live version better than the studio

  • Love it. I have this live album on Cassette, still looking for the vinyl. My fav on the album is "Tossin & Turnin".

  • GAH! I love these girls! This song is so fun. It rocks. And just makes you wanna dance! Most of the Motown artists all sound better live, for whatever reason! Haha. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • they are great...i love gladys' voice

  • I absoluely LUV this song but why are there only3 Marvelettes pictured here?

Where was Georgeanna? Or even Juanita??

  • The picture is after Juanita and Georgeanna letf the group. The picture's not them performing this song.

  • Was this photo on the album? Georgeanna was still performing with the group at this time,1962. Only Juanita had exited, even though she sang on this song...I don't get it...

  • No.. this photo has nothing to do with "Twistin' Postman." From the uniforms and Georgeanna not being in it, I'd date the photo from '@'64-'65. Juanita was still in the group but she started missing performances because of her illness. She left the group in '65 and was given a job as a secretary which she did for some years.

  • You DO mean Georgeanna-Juanita was LONG gone in '65...

  • Sorry for the typo.. yes I meant Georgeanna.

  • Never heard this live, thanks for sharing this version!

  • Ive always like the live version of this song!

  • I like it too!
