ive attended many games in the shoe and have so many great memories but when gamble reached the end zone on this play that right there may have been the loudest ive ever heard the shoe get
What a heartbreaker. Our offense played better than their offense and we had a chance right at the end to win. But here's why Ohio State won, they made the big plays, we didn't, so I'm not going to be bitter or make excuses. That was a heads up play by Gamble, but still it has that "close but no cigar" enogh that you can smell the tobacco. But that defense is why Ohio State won the national championship that year. We may have had a better offense but their defense was way better.
What a terrible throw, however, Gamble was such an athlete that it might not have mattered where Mills threw it. What a game and what an incredible atmosphere.
I was in the south stands when Chris came running towards us after that pic. The crowd was deafening at that moment. Another great moment in our 2002 championship season.
A memorable moment for Chris Gamble during his days at Ohio State. Chris, as a member of the Panther Nation, I just want to wish you all the best of luck Sunday at San Diego.

@bucks918 Wrong. Antoine Winfield was better, as well as Shawn Springs.

@bucks918 Absolutely. Anybody who says that it was louder for the Michigan game that year wasn't at this game.
