  • In my country it's "Kvæk".

Kinda stupid, 'cause the frog doesn't sound like that at all.

  • Frog! Frog! lol

  • for french Canadien is the same thing = '' ribbit'' !!!

  • The sounds should be the same as English. Having different sounds is anti-American and shows a lack of respect for America.

  • Lol that post is of two women from the Japanese group Morning Musume. Yuko and Rika, what are the odds. I love that group :)

  • In France, "croâ, croâ" o_o

  • :) 2:05 ribbitO #LOL thats great!

  • I love Keiko! She's so adorable~ =w=

  • xD She so looks concerned that frogs say ribbit in English. Like "O.o with an R??"

  • in philippines we say KOKAK...hehe

  • @pintoora salamat =)

  • love this!

  • Ribbit may be okay for a small tree frog but any marsh living frog worth his salt , especially a big frog, says CROAK, CROAK, CROAK. It is an imitative word from the early to middle English period which still continues in common use.

    Hence the term 'croaking frogs'.

If you ever read Aristophanes The Frogs from about 400 BC, the Greeks thought it was "Brekekekex koax koax"

  • My friend in Japan has a serious phobia of frogs. I don't know why, but she shakes and cries when she sees one. Poor girl, frogs are everywhere.

  • Gero Gero? so thats how Keroro came :D

  • what does a cat say?

do they say nya? i think thats it. . . but idk.

  • So, gero-gero is for the big frogs and kero-kero is for he small ones? Interesting. Nice one.

  • lol "frog-frog"

  • FROG FROG

  • I know!

    I LOL!

  • 恵子(?)可愛いです!

  • hey it's the former morning musume rika ishikawa and yuko nakazawa on the poster !

  • japanese anime "keroro gunsou" is derived from "kero kero".

  • in my country its "kokak...kokak..." im wondering if these frogs from different countries will understand each other--lol! omoshiroi koto da ne!

  • @2leonoel2 It's quite fun how different they sound but there is also a lot of different frogs. In my country some say Ribbit or Rabit. Or Gekko.

  • This is one of my favorite shows. I would suggest signing up at the website if you are at all interested in learning Japanese. Probably the best learning resource for Nihongo benkyou on the web. Thanks George!

And just in case you ever look at these youtube comments, is that Charmy Ishikawa and Nakazawa sama on the wall back there? Nice!

  • I have this shirt from Maison Ikkoku, and it says Piyo Piyo. I assume that Piyo Piyo means Cheep Cheep in Japanese.

  • Keiko is cute.

  • Interesting!!!

  • lol, when the guy said, "ribbit" she was like, "what's that!?"

  • Kero, kero... kero, kero. i lerned 2 things today! kero, kero 4 frogs, and gero, gero when you throw up ~^-^~

  • it's more gero, gero than kero, kero

  • he told you why he call it kero

    Besides:

In Germany our "frog sound" is "Quak"
