Next time we'll bring along some cheese for the little red mouse to nibble on. He gets cranky when he isn't fed cheese every few hours, doesn't he? :)
The thing about wine is if you taste it , its ok. It when you start to drink the tasting is when it can get bad or at lest all the wines start tasting the same..lol :)
Hey, stranger! Going around with Gary keeps reminding me of your visit a year ago. Too bad we didn't get a chance to bring you up to wine country. Next time for sure.
when i visited napa valley a few years back, we went to Francis Copolla's (spelling?) former vineyard/home. they had the desk from the 'Godfather' on display-pretty neat--good interview, Ken
you're lucky, brother. i love California! maybe, one of these days...(i wanted to move out there when i was 20 for music/Mom wanted me to finish school--she won)
i am thinking the cow-tipping is more prolific than I first thought! I also think, b4 he left he was briefed by the WI tourist bureau: do not mention cheese hurling or cow-tipping. do mention brettfavre FTLOG, and beer and you can re-enter WI!
Having never acquired a taste for wine, I find it curious how people can spend so much time talking about it. But what really confuses me is how people can spend over ten dollars for just one bottle of the stuff!!! Interesting video nonetheless!!!
A Guinness man, wow we dont have many of those left, its a very aquired taste, ur welcome to come to an irish pub and taste the Guinness where its made from :D
aw you're really missing out. I dont mean to sound like a pompous patriot or anything but the fact is when it comes to beverages the place really does matter. British lagers and beers are the best in the world, wines can only really be made in france and switzerland. sadly for many of the best theres just not enough of the good stuff to make it profitable to send over to the massive US market.
Hello Ken and Gary! I like the fruity dessert wines too. There is a Huckleberry Blush up here that is fantastic. At least he does not prefer Arbor Mist.
I wish I weren't so tired from going into work at illegal hours. I know I have to have at least half a dozen bad wine and cheese puns fermenting in my brain.

As they say in Wisconsin, "A day without cheese is like a day without beer."
Sorry you had to sit though this thing twice, once in person and again on video!
kenrg 2 years ago
This is like Sideways, without the chewing gum! An amusing little video with a hint of oakiness, and a sweet finish.

And with all that nasty spitting edited out.

Free wine also has no calories either...little known fact.

Not to mention all the exercise you get driving from winery to winery. It really is all about health...
kenrg 2 years ago
Man I learned so much from watching this. Oh well. Gary is still my favorite boring virgin.
SparklingMarshall 2 years ago
I'm sure he appreciates being your favorite. Thanks for watching!
kenrg 2 years ago
So the burning question is did you guys spit or swallow?
knifesedge 2 years ago
Spitting is just rude ;^)
kenrg 2 years ago
Good times!
Boy, do I know NOTHING about wine! When you come to Wisconsin, we'll do a beer tasting so I can redeem myself!
anakin1814 2 years ago
I am SOOOOO looking forward to that!
kenrg 2 years ago
anakin1814 - man of the year 2008, 2009 and probably of 2010 too!
ralfonzo83 2 years ago
Let's just call him Man of the Decade and be done with it.

Here's your money Ralf!

When you can no longer tell the difference between the whites and the reds, it's time to call it a day.
kenrg 2 years ago
cheese goes well with wine. At least Gary is honest :)
RiddleSpider 2 years ago
As honest as the day is long. And it was odd that there was no cheese in any of the tasting rooms that day.
kenrg 2 years ago
Would you give Gary a big ole hug and a kiss from me? No tongue unless you feel the need. ;-)
RiddleSpider 2 years ago
Go Red Zins!!! I'm all for cheese too, of course...hehehe
PaintedRavensong 2 years ago
I'm ready for a glass of Zin and some cheese right now!
kenrg 2 years ago
I'm doing that right now...a nice Ravenswood and some swiss and crackers!

LMFAO re: recommended "tip" percentages!!!
Elaina43 2 years ago
Those Wisconsin boys are a hoot when it comes to cow tipping.
kenrg 2 years ago
Surprisingly, my favorite wine of the day very often turns out to be the last I get to taste ;‹)
Elaina43 2 years ago
Why did they kick you out?
Momotaro15 2 years ago
Closing time. They were quite nice and polite, actually. She was just saying that the gate would be locked in another five or ten minutes.
kenrg 2 years ago
I'd be lost in whine country. Seriously. I think Gary has more of a taste for whine than I do.
Have fun y'all...

Getting lost is half the fun!

I'm telling his parole officer.

LOL! Gary, I was the same when he was offering me a "flight" of wine, I have no idea!:)
ajdpadbury 2 years ago
But now you're both so cultured in the art of wine tasting, right? LMAO
kenrg 2 years ago
Yes it would be cheesy to whine about wineless cheese in boxes like our favorite Thunderbird whines he he
PappyStu 2 years ago
Thunderbird? That's the classy stuff. It's Mad Dog 20/20 FTW!
kenrg 2 years ago
lol. Keg of wine mmmmm

Kegs just aren't big enough. I have the tanker truck come by once a week and fill an underground tank below my kitchen.
kenrg 2 years ago
lmao, @ cow tipping! 20%
kayleewyatt 2 years ago
I love that he had a quick comeback when I asked him that. Obviously something he's thought about before.

Well, with the way the partner dollars have been going, it may be just enough to cover the postage over to you.
kenrg 2 years ago
and nicely done by the way! perhaps if you visit Gary you can do a review about cheese... oh, and tipping cows over!?!

Ten dollars is nothing. I've spent many more times that for a bottle, and found it worth every penny.
