It's a bad first step to reform. If you make below $17,000 annually you will qualify for medicaid only acception. @RSNelsen The difference between private sector job creation & that of government is that government provides a service or product created off of the value taken from that of the private sector. The more disproportionate the burden laid upon the private sector for the creation of government jobs the less incentive, & investment will be tolerated by the private. I find it ironic that a government that created SSI find the need to create a pension for government workers don't you?

If you have a complaint with the quality of education you need to look within your own parties policies and handling of it. In Oregon average teacher makes $56,000 a year for 156 working days. If you include paid days & health over $70,000 this does not include their pensions. Oregon is ranked 47th for worse perfomance but 25th in pay so obviously by this example money has not helped!

On average 60% or more we pay Fed workers then private sector can afford to pay their employees of similiar job descriptions. Of course there are good people that work for government, it is public unions & the buying of votes that have perverted fair compensation.

There should be numerous articles about the disproportianate wages & pensions of federal employees also online. Middle class is disappearing in part thanks to Bush tax cuts for the elite, but also because they carry the larger part of all tax burden. I believe people should be paid according to their education, skill that the job demands.

It's a bad first step to reform. If you make below $17,000 annually you will qualify for medicaid only acception. Nevada has 13 1/2% unemployment and you want guys like Harry to stay in control of our economy? I find it sadly amusing, that there are people who are into selfpunishment and advocating the same for those around them. Greece is a fine example of what we can expect here with this type of leadership in the year to come.

@RSNelsen The difference between private sector job creation & that of government is that government provides a service or product created off of the value taken from that of the private sector. The more disproportionate the burden laid upon the private sector for the creation of government jobs the less incentive, & investment will be tolerated by the private. I find it ironic that a government that created SSI find the need to create a pension for government workers don't you?

Such as Obama's gift of 2 Billion to Haiti or Bush's gift to Africa of 3 Billion. These gifts were after the proposed spending for foreign aid.

When the government spends a dollar creates 2 dollars of GDP.

If you have a complaint with the quality of education you need to look within your own parties policies and handling of it. In Oregon average teacher makes $56,000 a year for 156 working days. If you include paid days & health over $70,000 this does not include their pensions. Oregon is ranked 47th for worse perfomance but 25th in pay so obviously by this example money has not helped!

The burden created by debt had been absorbed by various means through out different presidency's. Income tax was supposed to be a temporary tax on the rich, look where we are now. On average 60% or more we pay Fed workers then private sector can afford to pay their employees of similiar job descriptions. Of course there are good people that work for government, it is public unions & the buying of votes that have perverted fair compensation.

There should be numerous articles about the disproportianate wages & pensions of federal employees also online. Middle class is disappearing in part thanks to Bush tax cuts for the elite, but also because they carry the larger part of all tax burden. I believe people should be paid according to their education, skill that the job demands.
