yeah. It was in 1996 that NAMCYA included rondalla competition as one of the categories in their competition. and mulawin is the comissioned piece for that contest. yes, you were the first competitors in the 1st NAMCYA Rondalla Competition in 1996

I think MULAWIN also is the reason why aniweng na cuerdas nailed the finalist spot for ilocos region/northern luzon. but in terms of the level of confidence> i chose ILOCOS NORTE NHS over aniweng. pang nationals talaga un confidence. look how they performed. that was a given because they've been to the nationals. they saw how previous NAMCYA finalists perform = FULL of CONFIDENCE.
actually, ilocos norte ang bet namin. but, according to the judges, the aniweng, was the rondalla qualified for the finals. they're new rondalla group but, they showed, enthusiasm in reaching the finals.
.wow..nkaka-inggit naman..=) member dn ksi aq ng rondalla ng school namin.. na impress ako sa mga videos ng rondalla d2 sa youtube..lgi ko nga pnakikinggan ung flight of the bumblebee d2..galing!=)
lastly> CONFIDENCE. a bag of confidence for every members. yung tipo bang "we're the best, o ha!" or yung tipong "i hit the right notes". hehe. pag triple forte(fff) ung note/s, dapat to the max. ung tipong mapipigtas na un strings. (just an exaggeration).
well, GOODLUCK guys next competition. keep up the good work.
this group has a HUGE potential. just work on the TREMULO.. to connect well the set of notes that are supposed to be connected. mejo putol putol kasi ung ilan. :)
also, invest on instruments. each member should have at most two (except the drums and bass-bajo de arko of course. OA na yun ha pag may 2nd set cla. hehe)
parang na out of tune na ksi ung iba pagdating dun sa 2nd composition (Mulawin).
you guys did a great job. very courageous in choosing MULAWIN. despite of the high degree of difficulty ng MULAWIN, buo pa rin... though may mga sablay na ilan.
regarding MULAWIN> may mga ilang parts na sana binagalan ng konti para naemphasize un magagandang part ng laud and octavina dun sa first part. the composition is some kind of an a high level interplay kasi between the instruments...
your dynamics is good. but ur tremolo(jeez) u should practice more... ur drummer.,, u should minimize the volume because i cant hear the bandurias. ur right rondallaboy theres more to improve.

YES. opinion ko lang naman ito. may mga part na mahirap pagtugma tugmain ung mga notes and how to keep the continuity of the notes.
example> ung allegro vivo part (LAST PART).

observe the andante cantabile part in MULAWIN. hindi malinis ung octavina and laud part... because of this tremulo stuff.
