That would be a viable option, although it would depend on how the combo looked. I like Jetfire enough that I'd get him on his own.

I don't have [& don't plan to get] any "Armada" toys other than the Land Military Mini-Con Team.

I do have a lot of "Cybertron" toys, though- including OP, Wing Saber, and the Japanese version of Jetfire (aka Dreadlock).

But, my complaint in the vid above was more based on how combiners fragment apart to merge with each other, rather than the poseability of the combo (which is a whole other argument in & of itself).

Enjoyed your whole Jetfire coverage, while I agree with a lot of the problems I still think its a good toy, but not for everybody.

The only real articulation you get in this mode is the kibble! But there's so many ways to arrange it, it adds a little, a very little to the overall play value.

I read in an interview with Takara Tomy that part of the problem with designs from the first movie were down to having to start their toy designs before the movie designs had been completely finalized.

It was this lack of design information and not knowing what way they'd look / transform on screen that lead to some doggy looking toys.

IMO Jetfire might have had the same problem this time, as it's well documented there were lots of time line problems plus writers strike on the movie.

Both Prime & Starscream are incredibly better looking toys in this incarnation then the first movie. I'd say it would be the same case if Jetfire got a new toy for part 3, which obviously isn't going to happen.

I have reserved covering Leader Screamer for months now, and I can see from YouTube previews that it's gonna be awesome.

Yeah, they need to do a remold of Leader Jetfire even if he doesn't appear again; I would support that.

I haven't read anything stating that specificity but based off what they said about TF1 then its possible it could have happened again.

Even watching the movie you don't ever get a really good shot of Power up Prime. Only close ups of different parts in different shots... I think we could have some TF magic mass shifting going on, to make each shoot look as good as possible.

I'm having difficulty uploading the video that details Jetfire's transformation from robot to vehicle mode. I shot Power-Up OP here *hours later* instead of immediately afterwords [like I usually do] because it wore me out so dammed badly. I was seriously depressed, and didn't wanna work with the combo at all!

Humiliating as it is, when I finally get that dammed thing uploaded, you'll understand why... -_-#

Well its still a great display piece. But you can tell that the only reason Jetfire was a leader class was because its soul creation was to combine with Optimus. What a waste of plastic. Not worth the bucks.

I was tired (11pm), though, from having to wrestle with Jetfire when I was recording the transformation vid a few hours earlier. Seriously- it sapped a lot of energy from me; a humiliating time that I could not account for.

Have you seen Peaugh's videos on this combo? He came up with an arrangement that looks better and is more stable(Plus no crotch connector :D)

I don't think my camera's auto-focus liked Jetfire much...

I think the contrasting black toy-against-white background made it go crazy. I saw this in editing, and tried to reshoot, but I couldn't do anything about it. (It looked crappy to me as well, FYI.)

Long, yes, too long. But it's the exposition/opinions at the end that drag it out more than covering posing, transformation, gimmicks, etc.

Actually, there were quite a few more I edited out *because* I knew I was running long again. (The original un-edited run-time was 48min!)
