  • whats george w bush doing piloting a russian seaplane?

  • I can see it needs:

    -more power (2x IO-360's)

-larger wingtip sponsons (crosswinds are gonna sink the upwind wing)

-re-design of the bow section to reduce spray on the props...chines perhaps?

    Otherwise it looks beautiful!!....

  • @globalpilot76 I absolutely agree! Exactly what I thought. It easily submerges one sponson and it seems impossible to do anything against that as long as speed is low and there is low airspeed on the ailerons.

  • im confused this country is developing a stealth fighter the Pakfa stealth bomber the Pakda Borei 955 submarine 4th generation sub a space craft fighter a UAV based on the Mig SKat with energy weapons to be 6th gen fighter why the hell with all the Ekranoplans is its flying this thing lol

  • looks like its going to sink

  • Great !! how much?

  • @CATTOBAR

whatever it costs, it'll be measured in bottles of vodka

  • @spinkle2000 hahahahaha that´s right!!

  • Very cool, but man that thing floats low in the water. Wouldn't want even the smallest wake or that cool amphibian plane becomes a submarine.

  • Just when I was wondering the point of the v-tail, the guy drags it to shore, walks up and pops the hatch. What would make that really neat is if it were powered by a couple of turboprops with reversible pitch props; you could back it up to the shore without any help.

  • The hull is of such bad design that it keeps burying its nose in the water when under power. It will end up doing cartwheels on landing. The wing floats are too small and designed by a chimp. They cannot keep the wings a safe distance from the sea. Losing a wing on landing is very probable. There can never ever be an instance when those floats or the bow go below the waterline, not ever. The designer must still live with Tarzan

  • eat to much?!?!?!?!? on 1:13

  • plane is sunk too deep into the water, kinda need way more power to pull it out n into the air

  • Seems overly complicated for a 4-seater. Or is it a 6-seater? Still.

  • Very soon prototype of L-6 new designed version will be presented. So I advise to wait a bit because it promisse to be very interesting and exelent performanced plane

  • in the USA, how is the availability of those planes, and what is average price for them

  • поздравляю со 100 тысячным просмотром.

  • For six seats? 165hp?

  • WAY under powered.

  • very cool

  • Maybe the plane isn't underpowered, but the cargo overweight? hmmmm..... I'm still waiting for the wheels to pop out of this 'amphibian'.

  • George Bush is the pilot.

  • Noisy and underpowered. Meh.

  • yea - like a kind of submarine... ;-)

  • freaking sketchy it looked like it was sinking

  • More horsepower, as has been suggested: Yes, maybe. But I think the hull (fuselage) form needs more volume, so it floats higher. It was low in the water for a long time, and that takes huge horsepower to overcome. But too late to add volume to the hull... so perhaps some well placed trim tabs might help... change it's attitude earlier, and help it get up on a "plane" (in the boating sense) earlier?

  • This plane looks to be under powered and a lug to get up on the step. I thought it would never get airborne. Back to the ol drawing board! Needs more power and or less weight. Great video!

  • das vadanya and yer li'l sees'r swallowzz

  • I was genuinely surprised when it finally took to the air...

  • looks underpowered, but pretty

  • Comment removed

  • Observe closely: egress onto dry land via the back between the verticals. THAT is why the Russians gain so much ground: because they THINK. MY hats are off to them, they place function before form and still make a beautiful plane. Russia, FTW!

  • Looks like a one foot wave would submerge the windscreen. He should have saved up some more money and bought bigger wing floats.

  • A Flying Boat?

  • i was just about to say it sounds russian but built like a take i bet yeah

  • those engines sound scarry.

  • No kidding. Sounds like a sick MU-2.

  • I'd take a widgeon over this contraption any day

  • that thing looks sweet love the gull wings and the V-tail/t-tail and when the flaps are down looks hot

  • Staggers into the air like a sick albatross. What a piece of junk. Looks like it can only just float, and can only just fly! But love the way one embarks through the tail.

  • That thing is sketch!

  • What an amazing aircraft. The wingspan looks very wide for the aircraft.

  • Geez, looks like an albatroz taking off. poor russians

  • I don't know why but to me that looks like a scary ass plane to fly but thats just me i am scared shitless of flying...

  • That thing took off because the earth curves

  • @LethalHobo LOL!

  • Lots of drag-inducing elements for such a small aircraft with low power. Looks heavy in the water. I might travel on one, but would never buy one.

  • Beautiful plane.

  • this thing sits too low in the water for my comfort level. looks like one small wake or wave, and it's going under. eek

  • lol yea i agree

  • what are these worth to buy ? $

  • NEED TO DO SOME WORK ON THE DECIBELS!!!

  • Turn your speakers down.

    LOL

  • seemed to be heavy as a rock and strong as a scooter... not to say the pilot was more concerned on rotarting rather tahn leveling the wings... nice to c , tought

  • I've seen more aerodynamic house bricks.

  • Cool video, I enjoyed it, never seen such a plane before.

  • this thing looks like it's struggling, expecially for two engines. Get a Lake Aircraft instead...

  • Looks like somebody read some plans from a Popular Mechanics mag from about '64 and built a plane from them.

  • Is it singking how do you get out?

  • Does this thing really do fly???

  • why not?

This is an old modification of L-6 with rotor wankel engines 165 h.p. each and "small" props (new rotor engines were tested). So, that's why maybe looks that it needs some power. But now L-6 is build with 215 h.p. engines with Ivoprop propellers. And now it needs only 150-200 m for water take off.

  • I don't really mean if it does fly, because of the video is obvious, but it looks kinda minuspowered, thats it's too dificult for it to take off, also in the water it seems it is going to sink at any time

  • Russian planes just rules!

  • now thats just cool.lol i love how you get out of it too.

  • Cool plane.

  • i dont live in canada but i dont care if i have to go there to do it, thankyou for that good informayion you just give me.

    god bless you

  • i dont have the money to pay for my lessons and airplanes are my life, if somebody can give me some information about free flying lessons or any program.

  • Well if you live in Markham Ontario Canada, you get the first 4 weeks of free lessons and the rest you have to pay 50$ per month.

  • how can i learn to fly for free?

  • nothing in life is for free buddy.

  • if you dont have nathing positive to say, keep yor comments for your self

  • Nice plane!

  • see? the L-6 is so freakin' LOUD..... Russia has an advantage....they have Putin, and after 1991, they sent all their commie-libs "environmentalists" and "noise-pollution" Nazis & Gorbachev over here to the U.S. ..

  • Yes, we did.

  • Looks good!! Is there an Australian distributor for the Aircraft?

  • And flies good....

I think there is no distributors for that plane in Australia.

  • Do you know where can i get hold of further specifications and pricing?

  • Would also like to know as I am in Australia.

  • i can give a contact of the manufacturing company
