thank u for this vid i was in this position rolling with someone and when iwas going for the triangle he stood up like that but i didnt have a good grip on his arm. so he was able to pass my guard now i know how to make my triangle better. thank you
Not once in this entire video was the "spider guard" demonstrated. This is a standard, kick-through triangle setup. In my opinion, it wasn't even done well. Try to triangle a top-notch opponent while controlling his posture with a single sleeve grip - you will fail. You need better posture control for this.
Common setup, poorly executed. NOTHING to so with spider guard either.
