  • it's not that hard to mark a furrence every 24" to locate every trusses then swing the truss, align on the 24" line and put a nail. This invention save the second hand, not the third one that most of you don't have.

  • uhhh well you still have to do the same amount of layout if not more, you still have to spend all kinds of time doing blocking...I really don't see how this would ever save pros time. I really doubt you'd ever see a pro using your product.

  • I put 32' trusses up by myself!

  • if you know how to roll trusses correctly, it is quicker, uses less manpower. i'm not knocking the product, but i doubt you'll see anyone piecing use it.

  • That's a great idea

  • Building with Trusses is for spec builders. Try all stick built with true craftsmen. The finished product is much better.

  • @jelassiterII

You must be pretty new to construction. Trusses are used in every aspect of building, and are many times stronger than a cut roof. No doubt about that.

  • @jelassiterII Lol, you think stick built is stronger? Why the hell do you think everyone switched to trusses? Even high-end custom homes have built-to-order trusses. WTF are you smoking man?

  • Nice.

  • just stand the dam truss already and nail it down ha ha americans cant fram shiit

  • @403KZB You can't Fckn' spell asshole.

  • very impressive

  • this is pretty stupid. we through them up like nothing doing it the old fashion way. what a waste of time setting up for this system. imagine if you had to pay all those workers full carpenters wages. oh and by the way flipping trusses bends them at all the joiners. its always better with a crane. expensive but does a better job

  • That guy is constantly forgetting what hes doing and very bad at hosting the avdert XD

  • My grandfather used this type of system but wood wedges and blocks. Has used it for many years before passing away back in 1984. This is something he taught us as kids to ease the construction of roof systems.

  • I bought these and they do work. Me and my step-son were able to put up a 31 foot truss by ourselves. They are worth the money and they save time. it also made it very safe putting them up.

  • kid's are lazy already,now adays.

  • Interesting, but poor video.

  • So are they one time use? you put them up and they stay there forever? Pretty cool either way, it would be better if you could re-use them.

  • Nice! Looks easier than the old metal truss locks I've used for years. Or wooden blocks!

  • oh... yes.

it's like an extra pair of hands that can hold stuff while you screw/nail things together.

  • Where can i buy them?

  • Quite innovative. A logical, practical and sensible approach. Its relatively simplistic design appears as if could easily pay for itself in time and labor savings. -EB

  • neat : ]

  • americans suck at framing

  • @XionicAlex you suck at existing.

  • @XionicAlex Americans set the standard for Framing, Aussies swallow! Fck you!

  • More like GAY invention. Stupid as hell.

  • Why cant we see a close up of the quality of this item and once in place is it just held in place by gravity between to plastic blocks or are there teeth grabbing on the truss with compression spring like objects ?

I doubt there will be a respond from what i see there are no video owner comments to back his product up .

  • @Lotum4n ,,, I think it just the Gravity hold the roof down and 20 mph comes will blow the hell the roof away ,,,, great invention , please give me a break ,.,,,, how stupid people can be some times ....

  • Nice. Thats a really good idea. you could even just make that on site with some small blocks and some cut shims on 2x4's.

  • bullshit they are not pros! look how easy they pound those nails and how smooth they move!

  • Pretty good system. People feel more relaxed do it with this system.

  • Im a carpenter and thinkings this is a good idea. tho you have to nail the clips to the 1x3 you dont have to nail the 1x3 to the truss. In the long run this could save you time if you are seting trusses everyday

  • hurray.

  • batman, How are you able to run that up by yourself? I am interested in building a house but i will be solo.

  • Firstly , you build a gantry where the apex of the truss is ( aluminum planks ). In Australia we lift the entire pack of trusses onto the frame with a franna ( crane ) , If solo no problem just get them up as you can ( just a lot more lifting ).

  • So from there you brace the first truss off and use basically the same system as show here but you use lengths of timber, tape and a 3" nail Or a pre prepared spacing block to the measurement needed ( usually 600 centers ). Then i just walk the outside plates nailing the trusses off. Always be careful walking top plates if your not use to it

This systems fine but i cant see professionals using it.

  • fuckkkk offf :L aye...right. You must be strong as fuck and you must have LONG arms..and a good number off them! At least 2 people to do trusses. Video respond to this then we will trust you. haha. Or come do the roof im doing tomorrow!!!

  • nice, good luck with your idea.

  • Sounds neet but we dont get to see how long it takes to fit the devices ,a little misleeding ,thanks Matt ...eco builder

  • Seems like it would save a little time to me? If you don't have enough guys to help hold the truss when it's swung up, sure, then it's not to bad. But people dont usually time themselves setting a truss and not nailing it? 30 seconds to a minute is pretty close to what professionals can do it in. But hey, it's not too bad of an idea. Wonder how this item would sell compared to the traditional metal truss braces which are lighter and more compact. But an A for effort.

  • Im a carpenter in ireland and tis product doesnt look to bad,but da boys are only doing a little micky mouse roof,my problem is he says to nail dat 4x1 onto your gable end and let it run out whatever 16ft with those clips on either side! dats fine but wat do you do when you've 9x2 trusses 30-40ft whatever long, they would have to be lifted in by a crane!dat 4x1 is a waste of time as it will get in da way of placing da trusses!...as i said grand for small stuff but other den dat waste of time!...

  • dumb.. so you have to instal the clicker thing and nail it together as well. unless the wood comes like that already this is a waste of time what if youre a few inches off? wasted time and materials.

  • this idea looks good to me, although im not a carpenter or even like working with wood, we all half to sooner or later i once sit in my car watching men put trusses up on a cherch and the men on the ground 10 of them just stude there most of the day waiting on the men on the trusses nail them into place, thay where crained up to them, two guys on the truess 10 men on the ground,a full crew,

  • it takes these jokers about a 1:45 to set the truss not to mention the guy on the right never nails his end. so where you are getting this :30 time of yours is a mystery to me

  • If you watch the video, at the 32 second mark is where they start swinging the truss, by the 1:00 min mark, everything is secured (28 seconds). The trusses are sitting on truss latches that were already installed on the top plate. Nails were put in on the ends of the trusses later on, but these weren't moving. These guys are novices at best, and it was raining. Point is, if guys like this could do this, how fast could someone like yourself put them up with ALL your experience?

  • This was not designed to detract from skilled framers. It was designed to save time and money for framers, and the do-it yourselfers. By saving time and labor, you end up putting more $ in your pocket, plus you don't have to worry about fixing mistakes. Products come out to help make things easier, ie. power nailers, speed squares, etc. All these things are designed to make things easier and faster. And that is the purpose of this product. Give it a try, you just might be surprised.

  • Obviously Mr Wiezorek doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Anyone can tell you that setting trusses is no picnic. Maybe if he has something better, then he can post it and we can all be the judge. I for one have used them, and they ROCK!! Try setting 44' trusses or larger. These things take away all the hassles asscociated with putting them up. Even if you crane them in, which I have. Put your money where your mouth is Mr. Wiezorek!!!

  • Wow...I doubt you and your "crew" could put up a truss in less than 30 seconds. If so, I want to see it. And yes, these are "non" professionals...do it yourselfers...and amazingly enough they are able to put them up without a hitch. If you noticed, there are 2 runners, one on either side of the peak...this prevents that from happening. But ovbiously your to ignorant to pay attention to what is taking place. Can you set a truss by yourself? Doubt it "peter puffer"

  • And one more thing...since you and your "crew" are so-called professionals..then you should be able to set them 3 times as fast vs. these "rum drums working out of a back of a truck". That means swinging, aligning, and fastening a truss in 10 seconds. Hmmm...I doubt you can do that...highly doubt it. And if you can...PROVE IT!!!!! Then again, if you could, you would be so busy that you wouldn't bother with this.

  • thats the dumbest shit ive ever seen. how long does it take to put on the 2x4s. you still nail it to your truss. truss me this is stupid

  • You obviously know nothing about setting trusses. Yes, you have to fasten them to the 2x4, but, once on there, you can set trusses faster than traditional methods. I can personally set trusses in 30 seconds or less using this. Its safer, faster, easier, and they are reuseable. Using this takes away all the mistakes, and hazards, common with setting trusses. You think you can do better, than fine. Go ahead and video tape yourself setting trusses and we'll see who can set them faster.

  • are those houses earthquake and hurricanesafe??

  • Cool :)

  • a giant shed thats all is is!!

    opps i ment wendy house!!

  • listen to all the hard ass pro's. probly 18 years old, and should go frame their mom's mouth around my turgid tool.

  • Walk the peak you pussys

  • it looks like this video was made 10 years ago!

its probably been out that long

  • This sounds like a great idea. It reduces work load and facilitates work.

    galego4

  • why would you bother?by the time you set it up you would have trussed anyway

  • actually it takes 3 seconds to put one of the the truss latches on. You can build a set necessary to handle the whole roof in under 5 minutes. Then, you can set your trusses in under 30 seconds apiece. If a bunch of non professionals can set trusses in under 30 seconds, how fast could a professional crew set them using these? Think of the cost savings in labor alone.

  • this product is like the bricky if u think u need it then u hav no rite bein on the roof..this is a product 4 noobs who shud stay away fron the dangerous world of the building site. sorry boys good idea but not needed by ppl who no there jobs :(

  • Sorta like a speed line...

  • Trusses are for retards anyway. If you cannot cut rafters, then you have no business framing. This is an invention for a problem that no one really has.

  • Get with the times OLD BOY! Hard wood has another 10 yrs -15 max re neuable pre-fab is the way of the world you sound like my Father -inlaw.redbuckf150 you should have called yourself Redneckf69

  • @redbuckf150 Amen.

Even if you had to "roll" trusses, get a fckn' crane and set packages and cut your manpower in half. oh, get a tape measure too....

  • do you move the invention on down the length of the roof? Do you leave the bottom pieces on and purchase new ones for another house? Finish explaining on the video Too many questions remain unsolved thanx

  • You don't move it until you get your interior bracing on and some of your sheeting. We construct enough of the "runners" to do all the trusses. Then when we're done, we place them on top of the bottom cord to help keep the trusses straight. Works great, especially when hanging drywall on the ceiling.

  • Hi, I like your invention Check mine out I think you might be able to use it on complicated roof's, hope you like it vlinedude

  • I was actually looking for a parody but ok! :D

  • I like the Video and tool especially the rig you use to push the truss up,I hope you dont mind but now use the same rig ( works better than a 2x4 with a wedge cut on the end) thanks

  • You can use the idea and make one - to help put up a roof or give it a friend to use

  • of course it is patented idiot otherwise it wouldnt be shown retard

  • you are abusive......

  • @RECARNITATED Retard gadget for wannabe retard framers.

  • fantastic....!

  • I can use two strips with your Truss-Me as guide, yet do not land any nail on them, Only to slide trusses to fixed location. So I can re-use them and don't have to do the measure, mount again.

And another two plain strips as permantent bound which I nail them with trusses.

Once the job is done, take the two guides off for next job.

  • Very good idea!!!

  • good idea

  • pretty good idea dood, hope you patented it
