  • Awww look at that happy little sucker!

  • DAAAAAAAAAAW!!!

  • it looks like a squirrel, a dog.. and a seal loved eachother, very very much!

  • That is adorable

  • I love the part where the seal sees the waves then starts booking across the beach as fast as his flippers will take him. Hope he's doing well out in the wild.

  • So adorable. Thank you for making this public =]

  • wow, who disliked on such a generous and nice release?

  • How in the Hell can anyone dislike this video?

  • ALL IN HIS MIND WAS "FREEDOM!"

  • And then shark got happened

  • i feel like crying, this is like a child having freedom and not looking back, it must have been really emotional for the pup's caretakers.

  • you can tell a true seal for an otariid or "false seal" a few ways:

    1) Otariids have ear flaps. that's where the name comes from

    2) Otariids have slimmer bodies than seals

    3) Otariids have larger front flippers that are weight-bearing on dry ground. Otariids propel themselves with their front flippers and steer with their back ones, while true seals are the opposite

  • 12 people have no soul

  • i lovethis :)

  • :,)

  • Haha Miley sent me here :D

  • i love seals i see alot of big fat ones were i come from lol

  • haha, well hell see ya later

  • Freedom at last! :)

  • LIKE IF MILEY SENT YOU HERE!

  • miley sent me here :D <3

  • It is awesome how she takes a second to look at the people as if to say "Gotta Go" and then she just runs for the ocean like it's a long lost friend. In fact, maybe she knows her friends and family are out there just waiting for her return.

Ok, that is a bit Fairy Taleish but, I like it.

  • then a shark ate it

  • @roofy2k: these baby seals are clubbed in the head by Canadians every year.

  • @agingstoner that's why I hate most Canadians. They're savages, and they only elect savages as minister thugs.

  • miley cyrus fav this, and i see why! its tooo cuuttee!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Is it my dumb computer again or this vid really doesn't have audio ?

  • thanks miley <3

  • So cute <3

  • he comes out the first time and is like " meh , it's raining .. i'm not going anywhere .." :))

  • aww i love the was she skips off, so cute !

  • Aww :') so cute

  • Awww i'm crying...

  • This was an absolutely inspiring video. It's incredibly refreshing to watch a beautiful scene such as this one. Thank you to the dedicated people who help rescue, rehabilitate, and release these adorable creatures!

  • i want a baby seal

  • Aww this is sad :(

  • Northern Fur Seals are in groups at rookeries before they are weaned and again later you will find them in groups when they reach sexual maturity. There are 2 or 3 years, when they are sub-adults, when they are very much loners staying deep out at sea. PeeWee has just as good a chance to survive as any other Fur Seal her age.

  • The killer whale I released is happy.

  • I can already imagine all the animal rights activists furiously masturbating to this clip.

  • Watch out for loose seal!

  • Thumbs up if Phoebe Halliwell sent you here.

  • @RakicFilip lol alyssa will always be my lil phoebe!

  • Doesn't seals live in groups?! And she has been away from the free sae for several months. How is she going to manage a life on her own?! No seal friends at all. Hmm. She seemed happy to see the ocean, her home, but maybe she comes back and realise the humans are gone....at the shore..

  • Don't seals live in big family groups? Just one little seal going out by itself can't last long can it?..

  • Tears are in my eyes! The seal is back in its element! Freedom is the most precious gift there is!

  • I felt like crying :(

  • I'm just wondering how it's going to survive, how will it even know where to get food when it's led such a comfortable life being consistently fed by humans?

  • @harmyk1 This Northern Fur Seal was not raised in captivity, but merely came into a marine mammal hospital for a 2 1/2 month stay. She foraged successfully for nearly a year before stranding and she will continue to forage after her release.

  • For everyone calling this a sea lion: you are correct, but the name "Fur Seal" is still valid. This is because Peewee is classified as a False Seal, and is a seal in name only.

  • @AkaTako88 This IS a Northern Fur Seal. They are closely related to California Sea Lions, Stellar Sea Lions, Guadelupe Fur Seals, etc. all species of Otariid. True seals such as Harbour Seals, Gray Seals, Harp Seals, Hooded Seals, etc. are all species of Phocid Seals. Otariid are also known as eared seals and Phocids as earless seals. Phocids along with Otariids and Walrus all make up the family of Pinnipeds.

  • Zycie każdego zwierzęcia to życie na wolności...

  • Just made my day, watching this.

  • OMG look how it happy to return its home... really heart touching! I think this must be the same hope on every animal, locked in the cages. Return in to the home...

  • Beautifully presented! I love how Pee Wee turned to "say goodbye" before heading out to sea!

  • be safe.

  • That's not a seal. That's a sea lion. You can't fool me.

  • Canada's commercial seal hunt costs more money than it makes. The worldwide demand for seal products is shrinking, and the European Union has joined with nations around the world who have decided that they don't want Canada's dead seals.

This is truly an historic moment - a moment that marks the beginning of the inevitable end to Canada's commercial seal hunt. But the Canadian government continues to prop up this dying industry, encouraging the slaughter to continue.

  • At first I thought it was a sloth.

  • So cute :)

  • I kinda wana cry after seeing this... lol it sounds weird but.. Its nice seeing that little seal going back to its true home :).

  • Can he really survive on his own? Arnt they suppose to be in groups? I hope he can!

  • Awww :')

  • Zapierdala aż miło

  • So beautiful!!

  • then num num shark lol

  • @3popcan lol nooooo!!

  • at about 0:42 you can see the joy of him being free

    this melts my heart

    thx for sharing

  • GTFO

  • This made me cry so...guess it's always wanting to be free like that pup seal. ..thx for sharing!

  • 0:33 "...Herp?.."

    0:39 "DEEERRRRPPPP"

  • 0:22 FOR REALZ?! XD

  • Awesome! Now the sharks will hors d'oeuvres for dinner.

  • why didnt the japanese run up to it and slaughter it?

  • it made me smile to see him free & happy.

  • And than a few seconds later a shark eats it.

aww jk the little guy is cute!

  • @TheRawrzard i was thinking the same thing and began laughing when I saw it run into the ocean lol

  • Omg im crying! That's sooo cute!

  • Only knew him for about 62 seconds before he was outa sight and I was a little sad but happy for him

  • @AuroraAlchemist Me too. *hugs*

  • I'm surprised to say the least. Canada slaughters thousands of baby seals yearly. It's nice to see that there are some Canadians with compassion.

  • @suzhuz10 wow that was an extremely prejudice thing to say........

  • @suzhuz10 It hurts my heart so much.

  • @suzhuz10 correction to that statement. There are a few Canadians that slaughter thousands of baby seals annually. the majority have compassion.

  • @suzhuz10 Yeah, because Canadians are known to be real assholes../sarcasm. Take a hard look at your own country before you get on your high horse, you ignorant clown.

  • @thefalconer Canadians ARE assholes.

  • @suzhuz10 MOST Canadians have compassion! I really dislike when people think we are heartless of ONE tradition that barely anyone takes part in!!

  • awww. he's so happy

  • No sound?

  • bye~~~

  • eeee aha?

  • be careful lil guy!!!

  • I'm home! I'm home!

  • SERIOUSLY who dislikes this????

  • SHAAAAAARRK!!!!

  • (L)

  • :)

  • Yeah... just wait until the shark eat it

  • what they dont show us is a hungry shark eating it watch out for the sequil

  • Cute, but a seal running full speed looks about as goofy as a dog with bad butt itch.

  • @Irishfreedom Hahahaha. Future top comment.

  • This is the best video I've ever seen. xoxo

  • three minutes later, an orca had lunch

  • FREEDOM!!!

  • @14yeslek1989 lol

  • @14yeslek1989 Leave it to some douchebag kid to say something dumb like this to stir up all the people happy for the seal.

  • people hunt seals for sport..... horrible people

  • Awesome - how could anyone dislike this vid???

  • @aerogirl1023 You are a terrible person.

  • this cant be in canada...

  • he was probably saying his final goodbyes to the crew as he was circling the box before making a dash for the ocean..

  • já que não há um entendimento universal aqui, como pode 7 pessoas não gostar de ver um vídeo espetacular, Viva as Focas, Salve-as, não as maltratem (Y)

  • I got an awesome joke: "so a seal walks into a club"

  • No sound?

  • That thing prolly got ate by a big as,s whale half a mile in the water...wonder if they put a tracking device on it

  • That's the guy that killed Osama.

    Leader of SEAL Team Six.

  • This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing something I may have never seen. Oh to feel that joy of freedom and knowing the ocean is your home and going home. Thank you for helping this seal! omg I'm in tears.

  • Magical!

  • That's cool but.. WILL IT BLEND?!

  • He's in a hurry to find a Club.

  • i find this hard to masturbate to

  • what you dont see is that in 2min it gets eaten by a white shark but that would totally kill the mood

  • Ten minutes later he was eaten by a shark.

  • @FmMan33 you beat me to it hahaha.

  • in soviet russia seal comes out of the ocean and returns happily to the cage

  • 6 people are orcas that want to eat the seal.

  • adorable

  • I'd be thinking "be free, be happy, live long and prosper. I hope being with us goofy primates with our best of intentions didn't screw you up too badly." And then I'd try not to imagine the little dude going to make friends and his fellow animals thinking he's autistic or otherwise not-quite-right-in-the-head. /all Im sayin

  • 5 people dislike freedom

  • Lookadat happy mutha fucka, he all runnin an shih! I bet he gon get real wet in dat ocean, yall!

  • Seal: "WAIT, IS IT TURE"? AWWW YEAHHH

  • Soooo cute! Anyone know where I can get slippers made out of fur like that??

  • @threnx By clubbing one about that size.

  • @threnx the ocean

  • Actually Jeffsutherland. they still club baby harp seals in Canada.

  • @mobiledeb liar

  • I was waiting for the killer whale or great white to come eat it. Disappointed.

  • Actually 1958lespaul1 they still club baby harp seals in Canada.

  • not even a thank you? damn animals...

  • @1958lespaul1 It's a common misconception that they club seals at all, let alone baby seals. The only people in recent years who have clubbed any seals are those bastards in PETA. In reality, the Seal hunt is conducted with a rifle. The hunters shoot the seals once, ensuring a quick death. In the case of the Inuit, they use every part of the seal, as it is part of their traditional diet.

  • @jeffisutherland If I were to open up a night club, I'd call it the Baby Seal.

  • That is just as cute as can be. I hope they didn't release him anywhere near the Columbia River...

  • 5 people dislike this? Really? Must be baby seal clubbers by profession or something.

  • I'd hate to be a seal.

  • Check out challenge lobbies are back and better than ever ps3 and xbox, call of duty 4, 5,6

  • fake

  • and for just a moment, we were all a tiny seal returning happily to the ocean

  • when he walks he looks like my dog silver surfing

  • *Looks around* "Ok. Ok. Be cool... Be cool... I'M OUT, BITCHES!"

  • no doubt theres a shark waiting for him

  • they should have tagged him with a gps, so they could give updates on his whereabouts

  • seals fate is sealed

  • I just kept waiting for the great white or killer whale.....

  • i cant believe there are heartless peoples who would dislike this

  • No matter how long u keep them in cage... Their nature is still outside there

Good job Island Wildlife Natural Care Centre ^^

  • I liked the little nod at 0:37. "Thank you and bye!"

  • "It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining. I feel good and no-one's gonna stop me now"

  • aawwwww

  • I saw something just like this once and the second they let him out, a giant orca just jumped up and snagged him. Lol, guess thats how nature goes. :P
