Well I understands underholding is a hard word. Well I can't really know 'cause my first language, but I think I've heard that Norwegian is one of the more difficult languages to learn.
@tmabm93 Apparently it's one of the easiest ones to learn from English... However Kj can gtfo, it'll be sh until I actually need a word with the kj in it.
@1Sky1 No language changes completely every couple hundred years. It's an ongoing process of minor changes to every language. But there's no reason to simplify anything just for the ease of it, that's a totally different matter. As you can see here on YouTube, many Americans have become incapable of writing proper English (even American-English!), which is just sad and (pay attention) U N N E C E S S A R Y.
@SuperSmilingSmiley Get the broom stick out of your ass man. lol. There are plenty of Americans that are plenty capable. What gives you the right to stereotype us?? You're no better than we are.... nor are we to you.
For a Norwegian it is really impossible to imagine not being able to repeat a word you just heard being said. Because I think Norwegian is a really neutral language when it comes to sounds and that stuff. Because I am a Norwegian and I have met many people of many languages, and when I repeat what someone says in a different language, I say it correctly, because repeating sounds is like the simplest thing to me.
But for some reason Americans just CAN'T make a lot of sounds, no matter what :S
@sh0werp0wer you're totally right.Americans can't pronouce even the simplest words.I know people who have lived more than 20 years in my country but sound as if they're still learning portuguese.Maybe english just doesn't have as many sounds as other languages do.It's a very simple language.
Part of the reason is we don't have nearly as many sounds, and thus many don't know how exactly to pronounce them. Try speaking some Gaelic if you want some fun with sounds.
English is just German, but misspelled and misplaced sentence structure! In English there aren't any umlauts, ashes, thorns, eths, accents (unless in foreign words), and "Ø". English doesn't have a lot of the same sounds anymore as other Germanic languages.
whoever the girl was with the grey's anatomy poster behind her actually got underholdning pretty good. i like the fact that pink wanted to say absolutt like the interviewer said it. everyone else just seemed to focus on the underholdning part
LoL, if I was there I'd raise the challenge and asked him to say the same word in my language Armenian...զվարճություն.....like to see him try that! XP
