  • Whats the matter? Can't copy people? GOOD! >:D

  • why the hell are the ones who's doing the interview speaking in that accent? Even a Norwegian would have a problem pronouncing that xD

  • The guy's dialect doesn't exactly make it easier :P.. The way he says "underholdning" isn't straight forward enough.

  • 1:10 is the best part! Haha :D

  • this is so win!

  • Well I understands underholding is a hard word. Well I can't really know 'cause my first language, but I think I've heard that Norwegian is one of the more difficult languages to learn.

  • @tmabm93 Apparently it's one of the easiest ones to learn from English... However Kj can gtfo, it'll be sh until I actually need a word with the kj in it.

  • Come on, Norwegian is one of the simplest languages in the world. But you can't ask Americans to do it, they can't even talk proper English.

  • @SuperSmilingSmiley

you're talking about a language which changes almost completely every couple hundred years. get off your high horse.

  • @1Sky1 No language changes completely every couple hundred years. It's an ongoing process of minor changes to every language. But there's no reason to simplify anything just for the ease of it, that's a totally different matter. As you can see here on YouTube, many Americans have become incapable of writing proper English (even American-English!), which is just sad and (pay attention) U N N E C E S S A R Y.

  • @SuperSmilingSmiley Get the broom stick out of your ass man. lol. There are plenty of Americans that are plenty capable. What gives you the right to stereotype us?? You're no better than we are.... nor are we to you.

  • For a Norwegian it is really impossible to imagine not being able to repeat a word you just heard being said. Because I think Norwegian is a really neutral language when it comes to sounds and that stuff. Because I am a Norwegian and I have met many people of many languages, and when I repeat what someone says in a different language, I say it correctly, because repeating sounds is like the simplest thing to me.

But for some reason Americans just CAN'T make a lot of sounds, no matter what :S

  • @sh0werp0wer you're totally right.Americans can't pronouce even the simplest words.I know people who have lived more than 20 years in my country but sound as if they're still learning portuguese.Maybe english just doesn't have as many sounds as other languages do.It's a very simple language.

  • @sh0werp0wer Yea right, try German or Dutch or Chinese for a change. I'm sure you get it ''spot on'' instantly with your Norwegian superpowers.

  • @sh0werp0wer Norwegians can't repeat alot of Russian:=)

  • @sh0werp0wer

Part of the reason is we don't have nearly as many sounds, and thus many don't know how exactly to pronounce them. Try speaking some Gaelic if you want some fun with sounds.

  • @1Sky1 lol thats what im saying!!

  • Norwegian is not so hard to learn. but how to use the gramas is very hard... and we have very many dielects:)

  • Pink (for det var henne sant? lol) sa absolutt med et svensk aksent og undherholdning med et dansk aksent :p

  • English is just German, but misspelled and misplaced sentence structure! In English there aren't any umlauts, ashes, thorns, eths, accents (unless in foreign words), and "Ø". English doesn't have a lot of the same sounds anymore as other Germanic languages.

  • john cryer :D lern better norwegian.....absolut underholdning.....just like that

  • OH Myyy... It's very hard !!!

  • Absolut unnerholing..rrrr SURE I LOVE IT! :D 1:10

  • @SuperRagni No, it isn't! :-D

  • Jon cryer ser jo helt syk ut!

  • wow jennifer lopez is cute

  • han prater jo ikke norsk på en lett måte, underhollning er vanskelig!

  • dette var bra.

  • I'm from norway and i know thats many words that can be .. abit hard xD

  • hoLDning!

  • I can understand alot of norwegian because it is almost like Afrikaans(South-African language)

    Weird

  • @SoLeilTaRjA Um okay, how is south african similar to norwegian? I mean... wth? If this you said is true, you haven't met ONE norwegian/south african, only one of them

  • @Killer99215

If you read correctly you would see that I said Similiar to Afrikaans NOT South-African.

My teacher is Norewegian/South-African and sometimes she asks me to do something for her in Norwegian. AND I Understand

    Sunday in Norwegian is Sondag

And in Afrikaans-Guess what... It's the same -Sondag

Not the whole language is similiar...

    But alot of words are.

Also the way Norwegian And Afrikaans languages phrase there sentences are the same.

  • @SoLeilTaRjA Yeah, because Afrikaans is hugely based on dutch, isn't that right? And dutch have many similarities with norwegian, but personally i think dutch people speak like a weird mix of norwegian, german and english :p :-)

  • @NoPretending

Yeah, and Latin, Afrikaans has a lot of Latin words in it.

I quess all languages are connected even if it's just a small diffrence

  • @NoPretending Yeah, I'm American and Dutch does kind of sound like English to me sometimes. I only know a few words of it though.

  • HAHHA herlig xD

  • hahaha i know how they feel when i first time tried to speak norweagian it was fucking bad hahahahahaahahaha

  • I'm learning norwegian and i found out that it is not so difficult to pronounce for people who have a german accent- probably people speaking a language not that "similar" have more problems. reading is quite easy for me, my difficulties are in understanding speaking people o.O i think that requires way more travels to norge - let's go =)

    hjertelig hilsen fra tyskland!

  • Christ! Norwegian isn't that hard! These stars make it look as if you are trying to speak Finnish (jk) LOL

  • @TheCrushpanzer Just cause finnish aint a germanic language right? well, norwegian may sound very difficult to speak you know

  • @locoawise Have you ever read Finnish? It is a pain in the ass, lots of "ää" and "uu" and "ee", Norwegian is pretty straightforward, the majority of it is phonetic, once you have mastered the pronouncition of certain things like "Kj" and "Skj etc. It becomes rather simple and straightforward. Like a Good language should be... Alt for Norge!

  • @TheCrushpanzer Well, I know Finnish is not a indo european language, its as close to english or any european language as japanese indeed, and norwegian belongs to the same family of english so it's true it's much closer to it.

  • @locoawise yeah, Finnish belongs to the same family of languages as Hungarian and some other Eastern European languages... I'd probably say Turkish could relate to it too... But I can't even read it, let alone speak it, I can count in Finnish up to ten but that is about it... Norwegian-yes, Finnish-Not really... Too hard lol

  • @TheCrushpanzer Now, that's hilarious! There simply wasn't enough of those rrrrrrolling R sounds for any of it to sound even remotely Finnish, though. To me, it just sounded like... bad English.

  • @TigerLilyBoom No, it was a joke, Finnish is often made to sound hard to learn by many foreigners, the joke I made had nothing to do with the actual sounds, just how hard they are making it sound. If I am honest, especially Written Finnish looks intimidating to a foreigner, even me, so many mispronounciations occour, but these stars make even Norwegian, a (sorta) Germanic language seem as hard as Finnish, a Uralic language.

  • @TheCrushpanzer Oh, I got the humour in your comment, and I'm sorry if I made it sound as though I thought you were serious. It was my unsuccessful attempt at playing along... I agree with you completely when you say that these stars make Norwegian sound much, much more difficult to pronounce than it really is. I can understand that actors may not have the best ear for languages, but one would think musicians/singers would be a bit better at this, no?

  • @TigerLilyBoom LOL, no worries XD. And yeah, I totally aggree, they should have a better ear for the Language, if they are SOOO GOOD at singing ;D

  • @TheCrushpanzer You see what you did there?

  • they're american...........................

  • @TheCrushpanzer it is, cause Norwegian has some weird letter pronounciations when you're English. I find it quite easy, but hey, I'm Dutch.

  • @TheCrushpanzer Norwegian is one of the hardest languages in europe yes it is easy for us Norwegian people but for other people with other form of dialect it is simply impossible.

  • @TheCrushpanzer Oh trust me, it is! Coming from a gir who's about to move there ahhaha.

  • @TheCrushpanzer actually Norwegian is one of the hardest languages in the world
