Now this had a good twist ending, plus this teaches a good lesson on not to judge a book by it's cover. We see a girl in a white nightgown being attacked by a girl in black leather, and we think the girl in white is the hero of the story, but really she was alternative personality.
This is the first I have seen multiple personality disorder dealt with form the perspective of the submersed personality's point of view. Original idea and well portrayed in the dream like quality such as most of our thoughts are within our own mind when not connected to the input of our senses.
Great writing, directing, and acting! The only things i suggest is making the audio a little louder and to be a little more interesting with the fonts and credits (but all the other editing was great to!) Thanks for posting!!!!
I like introspective stuff like this. It is really neat to take a conflict of the mind and turn it into something so solid and vivid. By the way the production on the voices in the dialouge is amazing.
A Jekell and Hyde story inside a woman's dream. We all can't survive without both the good and dark sides, can we? Independent film shorts give me a reason not to watch mainstream television. Sometimes they can tell better stories than tv shows can. Or motion pictures for that matter. Well done guys!
@Lurvy1963 thanks. though this was not meant to be a Jekyll/Hyde story. this was specifically about split personality disorder. then again, i suppose that's where the Jekyll/Hyde concept derived from.
Great job Chris, it reminded me of that John Cusack film, but done much better, since we actually got to see the struggle, I like how the innocent personality seemed to transform a bit when she is killing the more devious personality, kind of like she was becoming her and the Alice"look she gives at the end when she says "She's not Alice"
This was a nice film. It was creepy, action and uniqueness all thrown into a blender. The dream sequences remind me of nightmare on elm street. Once again, another good job.
seems a bit like Bitter Sweet but still VERY good. I like that you are experimenting with different genres/feels with your films. Choice, Roses, Host. Good film
You never fail to amaze me. Even if you're mostly just making short films, you definitely are one of the better directors out there. I'm writing stories myself with you being one of my inspirations and I hope someday there will be films based on my screenplays.
Very interesting and creepy psychological thriller like here.
I like how you handled the multiple personality disorder issue in a more brutal and almost Nightmare on Elm Street way (the environment of the room, amongst other things).
Above everything, the deceased personality at the end really got that psychotic and unstable effect that I think you might have been looking for. Her eye and lips movements, her breathing, mood swings, everything.
And do I need to speak about the interesting twist?
2 great acting performances from Suzi! Peaches & cream, ring a bell :D

I like the scripting and the directing, but I don't care much for the actress.
I liked the take on D.I.D. and have thought many times on doing something similar.

nice. i always enjoy stories of persona's fighting for control of ones own self. There is just something about that is so interesting.

Her alter was "Ellis"? I think this is based on Harlan Ellison's "Shatterday" -- a story of two Peter Novacks....

@alias43 no it was not based on that. the character is actually named ALICE.

@PinkProgram yes the host does have primary claim, but there have been documented cases where the alternate kills the host.
