  • I'm glad to have been at that concert.

  • 'The years they passed and so did we' - yes, they've passed on just as everything else has, just as we all will. We are all nothing. Our impact is nil. In a million years time, none of us or anything we have contributed to the world will be remembered. That's what this song means.

  • this drummer is fukkng amazing

  • wish i could have seen this live such an amazing song and band... RIP

  • I usually hate listening to live versions of songs, of any band, but Isis is simply amazing in the atmosphere that they produce in their shows. I much prefer hearing them perform this song + a few others live than hearing it on the album

  • depressing

  • so amazing, deep deep mother fuckers i love it

  • CHECK OUT STAR ARK FOR SOME ISIS INFLUENCED PROG. YOU'LL FIND CLIPS HERE AND THE ENTIRE CATALOGUE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD AT BANDCAMP

WE SUGGEST THE SONG "WRITE" AS A GOOD INTRODUCTION TO THE STAR ARK SOUND

  • "Our Skin Worn Thin

    Our Bones Exposed

    Life Reduced to Ticks"

"From Forest Caves and azure Skies

    We Crashed upon this Earth

The Years, they passed and so did we

    Yet, Resistance would be formed"

    Sexy song

  • Greatest song of all time

  • Que buena banda, la puta madre!!

    :)

  • toda la razon!

    son grosos isis

  • ooohhhhhh...................

  • Wavering Radiant is Fucking AWSOME!!!

  • ugh, bad sound quality. I'm sure they did good live, its just the video.

  • My all time faveorite band!

  • hells yes i love freakin Isis and they are comeing out witha new cd in may, i love thier stuff

  • there was a leak. the new album is good, not the best though

  • What?!

    I just got wavering radiant.

It is the most beautiful thing ever.

  • Noooo... It's good, but it's their weakest since Celestial. There is no way it is as good or better than Oceanic or Panopticon.

  • In the absence of truth was my favorite. then wavering radiant, than oceanic. but a very good band overall

  • What the hell is wrong with you?

  • I kind of agree. The raising of the vocals in the mix was a mistake, especially. It's still Isis, and it's still amazing, but it doesn't have the perfect production of, say, Panopticon.

  • Just brilliant

  • I love listening to Aaron Turner speak in interviews, because his voice seems so much higher than.. when hes screaming. haha

  • I just listened to the version of this song on iTunes. There is a distinct similarity to 'In Limbo' by Radiohead. Does anyone else hear it.?

  • I can't say that I do, the moods for both are way different. Not a bad song though, well a good song I'd say.

  • damn amazing i would kill to write music like that.

  • I would kill twice

  • Lol my band tries... and i mean tries.

  • so fuckin intense...love it

  • tHe bEsT SoNg EvEr!

  • neurosis

    cult of luna

    isis

    three great bands

  • Damn Right

  • pelican

  • devil sold his soul

  • Red Sparowes

  • NEUROSIS

  • Rosetta?

  • Rosetta is excellent.

  • Wonderful comment. I love that band.

  • post-rock/metal.

  • who invented that term, after years of seeing it im still confused....this is progressive metal...a dark and heavier version of 70's prog rock

  • yeh, just think pink floyd + screaming.............. naaaatttttttssssoooooooommmmaaaaccccccchhhhhhhh imo

  • Comment removed

  • still, i strongly believe progressive rock/psychedelic rock are the roots for this music, Yes, Rush, Genesis, King Crimson, Camel, etc.

Similar atypical song structures, instrument layering...anyway, i know for a fact Neurosis mentioned King Crimson, Hawkwind and Pink Floyd as an influence.

  • ISIS

  • what about rosetta their awesome and their guitar tone is killer

  • This song really is probably the best song I've ever heard. Actually every Isis song is fuckin fantastic in its own way. Best band on Earth is Isis Peace

  • When i went to see Isis we ripped it up and enjoyed the music with some physicality as well, like the band do.

  • awesome. fucking awesome.

  • I agree with sufferingluka. One of the best songs ever written right here.

  • totally.

Amazing way to open up a tool show

  • no. this video is from ISIS headlining. way before having to open for tool

  • I know that

    I am just saying

When I saw them open up for tool

they opened up with "So Did We"

do you have an footage of These Arms Are Snakes?

  • yes i have video of them up from another show.

  • sweet

  • Best song ever!

  • Isis kick ass..

  • I hate all this comparing of Tool and Isis... they're both great bands. Tool's just a tad more generic in song structure than Isis. Isis has like no song structure, just like Mogwai, Red Sparowes, Pelican, Neurosis, Godlfesh, etc., which is why I like them better than Tool. MUCH less conventional.

But they really shouldn't be compared. Let's just enjoy these bands for what they are!

  • TOOL - progressive rock/metal

    ISIS - atmospheric sludge

    Can't compare.

    I rest my case.

  • This is probably the best song ever written in all of time.

  • What a mellow crowd

  • because ppl feel it to be awesome...

    u dont,cause u dont..:p

  • well, umm, hedlik, lik my balls. Ummm, I think I like you

  • what u re up to?:x

no ball likin' ...at least not today..

  • I'm lost... wtf do you mean residue102?

  • Fahk! I said it 9 months ago, and I'll say it again: 7:20 onwards, I have NO idea how Aaron stays on his feet. I swear I thought his spirit was gonna jump out of his body. Brrrrrrr! Chills mang.

    ISIS is better than Tool!

  • I disagree they're better than Tool. They do have a very nice way of expressing emotions but their technical and logical understanding seems way more underexpressed. Anyway, you shouldnt compare two great bands or things. Would you tell your mom your dad is better?

  • tool's probably the greatest band ever

that's just my opinion though..and i am a drummer so i hope it's understandable for me to think that tool's the greatest band ever :b

  • you cant fucking compare the two giants, so quit it.

  • no its not weak dick

  • look mother fuckers isis rules period i will fight anyone who sais else so

  • MAN I LOVE ISIS

  • there deffinately an "out there band" not like any other band.

my favorites by them is, so did we, carry, and life under the swatter.

  • This song makes me think of powerful omniscient forces, they observe our lives with indifference and witness everything as it sucumbs to the tests of time... it's pretty epic to me.

  • well, yes. it is.

  • I saw these dudes live back in March(unfortunately they did not play this song)... It was a freaking religious experience. EPIC indeed!

In the words of my father, "Yep, they're better than TOOL!"

  • tHe bEsT SoNg EvEr!!!

  • I listened to the song " Carry " and i played with the song and im pretty sure alot of there stuff is in Drop B

  • Dropped-B yes. Most of their stuff is in Double-Dropped-B, though. Celestial and Panopticon at least. I tabbed an Oceanic song called 'From Sinking' using the normal Dropped-B tuning, dunno which tuning ISIS used.

  • arent they in bfbebe?

  • Naww. They use a regular Dropped-B. Check out some tabs at ultimate-guitar[dot]com.

  • what does double dropped B mean? forgive my ignorance. I know what drop means and I understand B is the open note of the bottom string. What do you mean by double?

  • Drop the highest string into B also. It's quite a neat tuning. They played Celestial, SGNL>05 and Panopticon using Double Dropped-B. I tabbed From Sinking (of Oceanic) using the regular Dropped-B, though. So I dunno about Oceanic.

  • Magic... A song that makes you feel like an eagle ...

  • Yes, drop B. Your best bet with Isis, since all the tabs are crap, is to just tune on down and figure it out with the CD.

  • You're right, I've got some parts down, the clean parts are not as easy as they sound.

  • They are one of my fave, if not my fave bands. Does anyone know where to get good tabs of their songs? I came across one site that had the absolute worst ISIS tabs imaginable. I think they tune to drop B, but I could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I'm a huge fan aswell, I caught on to them listening to The Sea of Red. I love the DVD the made aswell and the A Perfect Circle Graffiti on the wall in the oppening of one of the videos .!

  • without the bass drum, the song somehow sounds... monotonous... it definately is too silent, just as the whole drums are, actually... still awesome performance

  • great song, i also saw them wtih tool, good opener.

it was the lead guitarists birthday if i remember correctly

  • one of my personal faves. great band!

  • great song

  • epic! just epic.

  • ISIS..

    great band.

In The Absense Of Truth = good cd.

  • yeah and grab oceanic as well. go on, treat yourself!

  • perfect

  • i thought for ages that cliffords melodies were played on guitar. i was wrong. i love isis. and this song is amazing. go buy panopticon right now. its the best investment you'll ever make

  • I saw them with Tool in Kansas City, they were nothing less than amazing, I am seeing them tomorrow in Oklahoma City, i can't wait!

  • I saw them open up for Tool in Kansas City, they were awesome. I get to go see them tomorrow in Oklahoma City, i can't wait!

  • sound: 3.7 still awesome!! probably my fave song of these guys

  • nice.

  • F***! I can't stop watching this. The boys are just GIVIN' it, man! At 7:20, I swear I thought Aaron was gonna leave his body.

  • BETTER THAN TOOL!!! This is one of my fav songs by them! It is sooooooo INTENSE, from start to finish. Thanks for posting!

  • I love Isis! I saw them open for Tool at the meadowlands and I didn't like them at first but after listening to Panopticon, I knew I was wrong.

  • wow tool and isis on the same bill. that would've killed

  • Isis is one of these progressive metal bands which I like so very much... their sound is full of energy, innovation and violence... one of the most interesting bands at the moment.

  • ISIS world class!

  • Thats fucking amazing, the ending is so heavy when the three guitars come in, better than on cd

  • Damn¡¡¡¡¡¡ Panopticon The Best Album Ever

  • this band is amazing

  • ISIS sao fodidos!!!! granda banda foda-se!!!!

  • wow! it's sounds great!

  • He was fucking with you dude...

  • FUCK ME!!!!!, that was amazing, it's probberly beacuse i'm fucking high, but that was fucking brilliant, ISIS fucking rule, can't wait to see them 5 stars!!!

  • no one will have sex w. you just b/c you are a fan of ISIS... listened to Skid Row and then you might get some tang...

  • hahahahaha. i meant fuck me as in, this is really good, and such like, thanks a lot for filming it

  • right, let me write that down. skid row haha loosen up that headband loser
