How much quieter is the DOD18M...If it isn't that much quieter, I would rather buy it because I found it cheaper.

Sounds awsome .. but this is a video. How loud is it in the Cab? Does it drone? I drive with windows open.. is it really loud in traffic and crusiing speeds? Did you consider the 18m? No cutting? So the stock system can be disassembed with a screwdriver? Consider the 18m?

Only thing I found was the option to turn the ECO mode light off

The MDS still is operational its just the light doesn't display

Perhaps with a programmer etc???

@yamran MDS can be shut off through the info center - turn the key to the on position - don't start the truck - this will unlock the entire menu and you can then select the MDS on/off, it's burried kind of deep though.

@yamran Using the slapstick mode turns eco off. all you do is when in drive hit it to the side, . just leave it on 5 to allow the truck to hit overdrive and it will stay on all 8 cyl. to take it out of this mode without turning the truck off just put it in neutral and back in drive.

03 1500 with 5.7 is a beast but HORRIBLE gas mileage, and if ur looking for a good sound with NO interior drone, go with a Flowmaster 50 series SUV muffler, my grandpa has that setup, just the muffler, and sounds fuckin mean and is very tolerable cruising

Cut your muffler off and run duals out the back.

It will be loud trust me.

or for a cheaper price you could just cut your muffler off and dont worry about the pipes coming out the back

If you have a welder or have a friend who owns one, you could gut the cat & put back on. I did this to my '99 & never had any probs. Got lots of comps though;

my cold air intake was 700 canadian. and my exaust everything til headers for 950 canadian. trow another 300 you get nice headers it would even crazier sound
