OK so, the well known economists who agree with that are stupid as well? I could just as easily say "liberals are stupid. They think welfare will stimulate the economy." You have proven nothing by stating youtr opinion...
If you are saying that tax cuts are a good idea because a TV famous economist thinks its great, you are only proving my point.
PS: At least welfare gets to the people who need the money. Tax cuts only help people that are already drawing an income and reduces the ability of the government to help those in need...
Ha! And if you think welfare actually gets money to those who need it (just because Obama says it does) you prove my point! Those in need should be encouraged to help themselves...It is government's function to ensure equal opportunity, not to create and hand it out...
The welfare system isn't perfect but its designed to help the people who will ultimately save the economy.
The average wage in the US is ~$40,000. If the average person loses their job and reduces their spending, the whole economy suffers. Funding (of all kinds) needs to be aimed at lower and middle class citizens because it will protect further job loss.
Tax breaks wont stop the domino effect because the first domino is at the bottom!!!
The welfare system isn't perfect but its designed to help the people who will ultimately save the economy. - For the entire history of welfare, the recipients have not saved anything, much less the economy. Why should we believe it will now? Why is even Obama talking about tax credits? Small businesses are the foundation of our economy - not welfare recipients.small business needs tax cuts so they can hire would be welfare recipients...
Get rid of welfare for all I care. All I'm saying is that it directs money in the right direction.
Businesses are collapsing because of a reduction in purchasing, not over taxation. Sending money to consumers through jobs, rebates, and tax credits (google it!) increases consumer spending.
Lowering taxes will only reduce the governments ability to navigate its way out of the economic crisis. Left wing politics works in moderation.
"Get rid of welfare for all I care." Now you're talking! "All I'm saying is that it directs money in the right direction."
No it doesn't....."Lowering taxes will only reduce the governments ability to navigate its way out of the economic crisis." No, ultimately it has been shown that actual tax revenues increase when lower tax rated allow small business to function..." Left wing politics works in moderation." But left wingers never know when to stop...
Mikeoo17... you are repulsed by tax cuts because you obviously do not pay taxes!
If you had any concept about how our "government" is "suppose" to work... you would know that supporting grown "Adults" like under age children is nothing more than an unconstitutional vote buying scheme. If these so called "enlightened" officials had real concern for society's dysfunctional members, they would promote self reliance not dependency!
I think you meant supposeD to work and if you figured out who told you how that is you would be a lot closer to understanding why you are conservative.
Taxes are good, plain and simple. We are pretty much past the pocket stuffing days of midievil kings in which case I would fight against it too. The simple fact is that when taxes are collected, they are inevitably going to be spent on something good (except wars of course). Taxes supports the health of a nations.
Mikeeeoo17... Now I understand....living in Canada, you've been indoctrinated from birth that massive government control over it's citizens is good. And ,self reliance is bad. You have been fed a steady diet that adult populations are nothing more than misguided children that need daddy government to wet nurse them!
The medieval kings have now been replaced by wealthy, predatory politicians that stuff the ballot box with votes purchased by taxpayer dollars.
Why must you all hate each other? Get over your differences and get along. It's people like you that are ruining America.
And this video is great. Keith Olbermann is an ass, simple. He needs to get over himself and move on with his pathetic life. He is a pussy when he is off screen.
I'll admit that Olbermann can be wordy and come off loaded but his reports are backed and as far as I have seen maintain the general context of the original. Other than that the man is a rhetoric, PR, political genius.
I understand that when your brain senses a multi-syllabic word it just shuts down. So, no wonder you've never heard Øverblownman use "big words." When he does, you just hear a buzzing sound...
Ironic that you would imply Olbermann "makes up stories that the mindless public will lap up" as a response to his expose of the McCain campaign's made up story that cons everywhere mindlessly lapped up.
So you mean he is just some tragically ignorant Obama hater acting on his own to make up a story that cons everywhere mindlessly lapped up and the mcCain campaign turned into their poster boy? ohhhh the failure... the mind wobbles.
No - I am stating a fact when I say that the McCain camp did not pre-plan Joe the plumber as a campaign gimmick. He is an actual person who actually asked Øbama a revealing question. it is Øbama's answer to that question that the McCAIN campaign is justifiably exploiting...
olberman is a master of the obvious.keith has spent too long sniffing jock straps and admiring himself in the mirror to have a objective opinion for his 'special comment'.
keith I have a special comment: you're a douche bag! you are a embarassment to journalist (like Mathews) who if they are liberal at least accomplish their job with some objectivity. olbermann's viewers need to get their aluminum hats resized and open the windows for some fresh air- he is a buffoon's buffoon and nothing more.
This is the first & probably the only time I'll ever find Olbermann funny! I watch O'Reilly, Brit Hume, Glenn Beck, & Tucker Carlson (before those bastards at MSNBC gave him the boot), with an open mind, and have almost no problems with their programs. Every time I see Olbermann, I always wind up switching to O'Reilly. It also makes me wonder if any of Keith's viewers (all ten of you) have any objectivity whatsoever. They seem to take his word over anyone else's without a second thought.
For me, Tucker Carlson was the only voice of reason on that network. As soon as they canceled him, I stopped watching MSNBC altogether. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. When a cable news channel caters to the far-left of center, anybody in the middle or to the right of center will always get the shaft. I know he didn't have good enough ratings, but that doesn't change the fact he was forced out anyway. Olbermann is supposed to be the "flagship franchise" of the network? I'm done with MSNBC.
I'm not a big fan of Scarborough, but I saw the clip. I'm surprised Joe didn't go up into the booth where Olbermann was and beat the crap out of him for that remark. Fortunately, Joe knows better. This is what happens when Olbermann is confronted with someone who disagrees with him. He acts like a spoiled child. No wonder Keith Olbermann got demoted in the first place. Now, if only Olbermann could get kicked off of MSNBC. I can't wait for that to happen. MSNBC will actually be more watchable.
Hahaha, I'm sorry that you can't understand some of the words Keith says. Maybe his show is just not for you. I like the part about him making everything up or distorting the stories; the irony of your video is priceless! I hope that someday you can overcome your enthusiastic (baseless) hatred of Keith and actually watch his show (as I'm sure you'll claim to do already), because very little of what he says is distorting the truth in any way. America needs more critical thinkers, please convert.
Since you won't believe anything I'll say, I won't waste my time responding...Now - why died NBC YANK Keith off their campaign coverage? Hmmmm?? How "bout that novel you're workin' on - hmmm? Got a hero? Got a subplot? hmmmm? for that novel? That you're workin' on? hmmmm? Got an advance from your publisher yet? hmmmm? Believe everything Keith says do ya? hmmmm...
There is nothing KO could say that would lower the image and reputation of the US in the world. Bush is held in extremely low esteem, and there is a general feeling that Americans are really really dumb to be the last people in the world to discover Bush has ruined the country, world security, human rights and democracy movements every where.
How do you know Bush is held in low regard by other dignitaries? Did Keith Olbermann tell you that? According to the New York Times: "With Sarkozy, Bush May Find a Close Friend in France"Human rights?
NPR SAYS: "All Things Considered, February 20, 2008 · President Bush arrives in Ghana on the fourth leg of a five-nation Africa tour. He spent the day in Rwanda visiting U.S.-funded HIV/AIDS clinics, cutting the ribbon on a new U.S. embassy and paying tribute to the victims of Rwanda's genocide as well as that tiny nation's contributions to the international peacekeeping force in Darfur." YOU NEED TO PULL OUT MORE (Your head from your orifice). And stop listening ONLY to Keith Olbermann
Since you evidently do not travel to other countries or listen to anyone except Faux News, I can tell you as an Ex-pat living in Europe and Russia that no leader is held in as low esteem as Bush in the world. The well known BBC polls of leaders and national reputations place Bush and the US at the same bottom position as North Korea. I've seen nothing that undermines that poll result.
I have been to Europe. Your assumption about my travels is wrong. I watch MSNBC daily (Tucker, Hardball and Countdown) as well as Fox.Once again you are wrong.
The poll is biased. It only asked on these six questions: The poll shows that world citizens disapprove of the way the US government has handled all six of the foreign policy areas explored. After the Iraq war (73% disapproval), majorities across the 25 countries also disapprove of US handling of Guantanamo detainees (67%), the Israeli-Hezbollah war (65%), Iran's nuclear program (60%), global warming (56%), and North Korea's nuclear program (54%).
Ask only about the things that we already knew most of the world disagreed with, and - what a surprise! The poll shows exactly what the anti-American pollsters wanted it to...Did they ask about African AIDS relief? Did they remember to ask which country in the world sent the most relief aid to the tsunami victims in Indonesia? OOOps! They forgot about all the good things America does in the world...some poll...wanna try again? Watch more Countdown...get more "unbiased" info... PATHETIC!
what a joke. since when did the charity of americans become a presidential policy? bush is an idiot and a criminal, the whole world knows it, as do true american patriots.
since you clearly cannot distinguish between criticism of a nation's government and that of its leaders, even in a presumably representative government, you should leave politics to the adults.
...and i don't think olbermann ever used a word i didn't understand.
lmao. you're the one who can't comprehend simple english by your own idiotic admission.
you also support the worst president in the history of the world, so, um...yeah, you're the idiot, and i'm done wasting my time on your pathetic, weak, little brainwashed anti-american "mind."
But you were wrong about foreign aid being presidential policy. Since U.S. Foreign Aid is a federal budget item, ultimately, the president's policy on that issue effects its outcome.. So, let's recap - you don't know WTF you're talking about, and you're calling me an idiot...uh...ok...
Show me one piece of video in which O'reilly looks into the camera and calls the president of the United States an idiot and a liar, and I will concede your point and remove this video...
O'reilly and Olbermann are both commentators, not newscasters, and both freely state their views on a variety of topics.
If you have a problem with Olbermann calling Bush an idiot and a liar, move to Cuba. This is a free country, or at least it was until Bush threw Habeas Corpus into the garbage and started tapping our phones and monitoring our internet access.
By the way, President Bush is an idiot and a liar.
Obviously, you have bought into the KO koolaid and suffer from the same kinds of delusions...For instance, you think your phone has been tapped. What's even more ludicrous is that you actually think that you matter....Do you honestly think the federal government gives a shit about anything you might say on your phone?? Can you say delusions of grandeur?
The difference between O'reilly and KO is that O'reilly makes a point to often say that his show is a news analysis show, whereas KO purposely broadcasts in a format that mimics the evening news format. He makes no attempt to emphasize to the mindless idiots who take him at his word that he is not reporting the news, but rather expressing his opinion about it in a format purposely designed to be confused as actual journalism...
KO's show 'mimics the evening news' because he wears a tie and sits behind a desk? KO has "Best Person" and "Worst Person" segments, what news channel does that? You don't even have facts to backup your points, just your own opinions. Can you say delusions of grandeur?
Since you feel it's ok to insult viewers of Countdown (now we're mindless idiots), tell me what kind of advanced analytical thinker watches O'Reilly and Fox News? Really want to get into a demographics comparison war here?
I watch Countdown, Hardball, and Tucker, AND Fox News. How else can anyone make an informed judgement. Tell me you haven't bought into the propaganda about Fox News. Here, do this simple test. Watch the Factor or Hannity and Colmes - and watch Countdown. Count the number of times that Fox has people from BOTH sides of the argument discussing some issue versus the number of times KO has someone who AGREES with him on,patting each other on the back about how right they are. Go on - I'll wait...
I guess I'll have to spell out every little thing for tiny brain here. "You" is a collective 'us", ok? See I'm talking about all Americans, not just me.
And just what is the KO koolaid, that George Bush is the worst President we've had in modern times, that his actions and policies have been disastrous to the U.S., and that over 70% of Americans disapprove of him? That's not KO koolaid, that's just reality.
God, you are one dumb stupid bitch. What a complete fucked up piece of shit asshole pig you are. Go fuck yourself and let's hope you get fucked by your hero Bill O'reilly.
Please back that up with some facts. I know you can't, but I thought I'd ask anyway just for fun. Next make a funny video about Michael Moore, concentrating on his weight instead of disputing (with facts) his opinions and films. Why is it that dumb people tend to be drawn to the Republican meme.
Fact: Olbermann broke into Hardball with a news alert to inform the audience that the New York Times had posted to its website that it was going to run a story about eight year old claims made by "un-named sources" about John Mccain. The story has been debunked by all major media as essentially fabricated. (KO's favorite kind of story).
Here's what MSNBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell told Chris Matthews on Hardball:
ANDREA MITCHELL, NBC CORRESPONDENT: I think it has to be proved by "The New York Times," but certainly, there will be people going after this, chasing this story.
At the same time, I think that it does raise questions about the journalism involved not just at "The New York Times," but the whole way this kind of thing ricochets.

They are big words to you. Get a high school education.

Ha! What a joke! I don't have to prove my level of education to you! Especially if you're the kind of dope who takes KO's words hook line and sinker!

You're just angry because deep down, you know it's true!
