It's not your fault Speed, Dubble Bubble changed it's formula in 2009 when Tootsie Roll bought the brand from Concord Confections. In the party section at Kmart there is DB in a pack called Carnival Candies (Yellow package with clear bag) That is old school DB.

Awesome bubbles! You should definitely do these more often. :D
I think the Double Bubble gum in the twisty wrappers give better bubbles than the newer flat pieces.
