I think that VW will never be able to correct the damage that the previous generation beetle caused. That car was just an unreliable piece of crap. I was stupid enough to buy a 1998 VW beetle brand new and I had so many problems with that car. The heating and air conditioning system went out at 30,000 miles. The head gasket cracked at 62,000 miles. VW will have a very difficult task to get people to buy this car again. There is just too many better vehicles around to buy than a VW beetle.
Alright, I have to ask. Which designer left an in-heat TT in a garage with a drunk Beetle? The abomination that resulted is something that makes me think: KILL IT WITH FIRE KILL IT KILL IT!
-That said, I was never really a fan of the car, but MY GOD!
I can't think of one thing about this car that I like. It's just a Gold underneath so why not just buy a golf and save yourself the embarrassment of climbing in and out of something that's gay as AIDs?
Where are the HID's?? I thought the turbo version came with HID's standard. The reviewer even mentioned it during the video. Did VW cheap out and not include it on the US version?
@juggernaut494 Turbo version get Bi-Xenon lights and LED running lights. and get a few other upgrades compared to the other versions. Electric steering, Independent front MacPherson struts with stabilizer bar, Cross Differential System (XDS), 6 speed manual and optional DSG trans. You can't get the 9 speaker in the turbo only the 8 speaker audio system, no Nav available. Only comes in 6 different colors. I hope that helped you..
Built in Mexico wonder why they are unreliable. If you want VW buy one from Germany. Looks better then last generation Has some Golf looks to it and GTI get up an go. Turbo lag thats not like you VW a bit sporty but body roll still VW you have some work to do. A lot of GTI interior looks to it I think I rather have the Golf R or the GTI though.
Welcome Back Herbie #53.

Vw should really make a sport body kit optional for these. Then it looks better

Costs too much! Whole car needs to be flatter. Mpgs need to be better. I have yet to see one on the road.

I'm surprised it has such sloppy handling. Was expecting GTI performance. Glad they at least allow the 2.0t in this car.
