  • yea i had forgotten bout this song too. and i just started huming it and now im liostening to her sing it on here lol

  • Man i forgot all about this song, i just seen her perform this song on GAC i had to pull the music vid up.

  • Pause this video at 00:59. There is a ghost that appears. I heard about it years ago when I saw an interview with Lee Ann where she mentioned how "he just showed up". Looks like he is playing the violin...LOL.

  • I a good song sweethaert hope you find your happiness were ever that might be. I wish you good luck.

  • one of the most beautiful voices in country i love leeann she's one of my fav.. artists from back then and still is today....

  • ya i know

  • so true, and so very country, which sadly you can't say for everyone in country these days

  • gaelicprincess77 I left my ex husband 10 yrs ago from Ft Worth and came back to Nashville....at the time best decision.... now I wish I would have stayed...think about it....

  • good song sweetheart

  • Lee Ann Womack is the modern day queen of country

  • When this first came out it made sense in my life and it still does years later....

  • I love LeeAnn and I love this song, but I could never leave Texas cause of a guy I love my state too much, Texas is huge, so I might would only have to leave the city.

  • I am in dallas and just broke up after 3years and am heading to my sisters in Nashville so this song is my life right now

  • I hope ya make it and find happiness. Good luck

  • gaelicprincess77 - I hope ya make it and find happiness. Good luck

  • A wonderful story sung beautifully. Follows the verse-chorus-bridge design of so many great country songs. Concur with the Glenn Campbell and make-up comments. L.A.M. - you're truly lovely, ease up on the Maybeline.

  • Maybeline headquarters are in Little Rock.

  • Today's Patsy Cline....

    ya'll just wait

  • My absolute favorite female singer of all time..

  • the telecaster rocks. fantastic vocals.

  • i love Driving on empty roads and just thinking

  • can't find any empty highways around here, even the back roads are crowded..

  • Well, on Hwy 7South in Arkansas, the rd. that runs b/w Arkadelphia, Hot Springs, and the capital, LR, before heading to Memphis, and appears to be the route she's "driving" in this video, there's always a huge-ass tank of an old-school Buick, under the control of a really elderly person, going 35 in a 55mph? This road can easily be driven at 70-80mph, it's wide and fairly straight, and these folks stay creepin'!!!

  • One of my favorite songs by her!

  • This is one of my favorite Lee Ann Womack songs. The simplicity of her just driving into the distant nowhere is amazing. It gives me the urge to want to go out, and drive with only a full tank of gas, an empty highway, and a reason to clear my head.

She's such a bombshell beauty in this video.

  • She is so pretty with not so much makeup here. love her!

  • My #1 fav L.A.W. song!

  • Wow....does sound like glenn campbell playing here..........

  • I remember this song when it came out...made me think about the choices in life I was making. Went for the gusto, got divorce and am now with the man I fell in love with at first sight. That was nearly 11 years ago.

  • i bet all those taylor swift tinny boppers don't know anything about real country like this

  • i remember when this song came out i was going through a divorce and i could really relate to this song. remarried now and life is good. finally found someone that truly loves me

  • the guitar is very glen campbell'esque

  • What!

  • good song

  • Comment removed

  • go away

  • "Is a lonely stretch of blacktop, out into the blue"

    What a killer line.

  • i adore this song. brings back too many memories.

  • :57 - 1:01 I read somewhere they didn't add that. It was a real ghost. so I looked about it. it was a guy that died in a wreck in 1986 on that same road.

  • That's not real.

  • Comment removed

  • What? Why are you talking about ECSD?

  • oh yea?then my name is nancy drew...

  • My fiance lives in little rock....go arkansas!! Whoo pig sooie

  • Im from Little Rock! Love this song!!! Go Arkansas!!

  • My #1 fav LAW song!!

  • that cell phone is from like 96

  • Yea, and the song is from like 98, so nice find sherlock.

  • Its good to see She's keeping it Country, and not fully crossing over to Pop rock.

  • Agree. She kept country's essence. Some of the newer generation, like Taylor Swift, make good songs, but it takes more than a guitar and a southern accent to make a real country song.

  • thats very true! and i agree

i think that there is more of a story or lesson to country songs and it has true meaning (with the guitar, violin and accent of course! )

  • Her last album is all country. Thanks to Byron Gallimore she is trying to stay all country all of the time.....Gallimore has done some crap with some other artist, but he did really good by staying country with Lee Ann Womack..

  • this is such a good song. lee ann womack is such a good singer. she has a lovely voice, andi love her songs. "something worthe leaveing behing", "twenty years and two husbands ago", " i hope you dance", and "aliitle past little rock" are my favourites!!

  • this is one of the greatest love songs...everyone has been in this position once before and thats what makes it so wonderful.....

  • cowboy withspurs what an ass you dont know shit about music, let alone womaks music.just because your screen-name makes YOU think your country you aint shit .leann has stayed more traditional than any other female artist in her time.i really dislike stupid people that dont know shit about what they are talking about.

  • The lines that seprate genres of music is thinning. No one sings a specific Gernre any more people are listening to a lot of different aritist. So people shouldn't complain and say ohhh this singer sounds way to much like pop or whatever.

  • awesome song once from a while back...

  • I used to sing Lee Ann Womack's songs when I was little . Let's just say I wish camcorders were never invented .lol. Luv this song though <3

  • leeanne has done plenty of pop country songs so layoff taylor.

  • Shes really good, but she isn't the best female country singer

  • I love this song it reminds me of when I heard it on the radieo when I was young and my dad was watching me

  • okay yeah MAYBE back then she sang COUNTRY music but have you heard her new stuff... she sings the same way taylor swift does. thats just the way the style is progressing....

  • this is a great country song and I agree Taylor Swift should give her a call.......... its country not POP Taylor.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • I remember this from when I was little!!

  • This lady can sing "Country Music"... Please Taylor Swift give Lee Ann a call To schedule a lesson from her.

  • HA! I love it! What's with TS? Country singers used to sing country, and as a whole almost all country singers used to have very strong voices...hers is so weak, like any girl next door with voice lessons could do what she does.

  • this song reminds me of my mom for some reason. i think it's because it was always on the radio after she died in 95. my mom n dad were gonna get married and things were startin to get better, they went downhill in no time and haven't stopped...

  • Do you know what song she did at the CMA'S? I can't find it!

  • Would it be "last call"? I don't have much access to a computer or T.V., so i didn't watch it. But last call is her new one. Do u know how it goes? If it's new or old?

  • Well, it was the 2008 CMA's, and she was in this jail-suit thing and she danced and stuff with other people. I really don't remember...

  • That was Lee Ann Rimes. Nothing Better To Do

  • I wish I was with Little Rock still

  • Leeanne Womack is by far my favorite female country singer. Her voice is perfect!!!

  • you said it , forget EVERY female C/W singer... this chick belts em' out.. My favorite by far.. and Mark Chestnutt is the last and greatest "country" singer period

  • My #1 Lee Ann Womack song, period!

  • I ENJOYED IT AND HOPE OTHERS DO AS WELL

  • this is a great song i love her!!!!!!

  • My #1 L.A.W. song.

  • I agree with ya here. This is her best one by far!!

  • This is so me.

    I live in Little Rock.

And this is so what I've been going through.

  • i wish i was a little past somewhere other than where i am at right now. this song reminds me of the used feeling you get when you know that everything is wrong

  • I agree!

  • why do you agree whats going wrong in your life ?? if you dont mnd me asking

  • I don't mind you asking...this is just one of those songs that makes me look back and wish I could re-live the time in which it was a radio hit. Thank you for taking the time to respond! :)

  • This woman's a poet.

  • looked like the cameraman reflected in the windshield to me, -but it did look more like a banjo than a camera. Who knows. I love this song and LAW.

  • LAW is the best ever. I'm in heaven listening to her bend each word in this song. Amazing!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • love this song

  • that's supposed to be her memory of the guy she left lol it's so obvious XD gullible people

  • that's what i thought

  • I can relate to this song.....Good thing I kept driving :)

  • This song reminds me when I used to carpool with Ellen..RIP.

  • I love this song and she is so pretty

  • great song, thanks for posting it.

  • Love this song!

  • Watch at 00:58 to the left of Lee Ann. I remember watching an interview with Lee Ann Womack once, and she said that that was their 'video ghost'. They didnt notice it there until after the video was made.

  • i just turned the song back and i saw it oh my Lord!

  • omg that is freaky!! so it wasnt put ther on purpose?

  • I saw it too. I have watched this video so many times and never saw that before. OMG!!! That is freaky.

  • it's the camera guy

  • I don't believe that!! At 1:29 it shows a figure there also. Those are placed in the video by producers and camera men to mimic memories of the relationship that she is leaving.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!

I miss hearin' this songs on the radio.

I remember singin this song in the car on trips.

  • Wow...I'm so glad I found this song. Great memories of my father and I driving long road trips when I was a little girl...this song would always play...thx for posting =]

  • We grabbed popcorn for that?..musicmaestro88 hasn't even had a sip of his drink yet.

  • Yeah --- after that what happened? LOL --- *grabs popcorn*

  • I remember driving through our tobacco and cotton fields here in South Georgia and my girlfriend had just broken up with me that summer. I remember this song on the radio in that old truck driving through those fields checking irrigation.

  • So Dude..what happened after that?

  • Nothing... We both went on with our lives.

  • ha - ha! that was a rubbish story...ur supposed to say, we got bak together or i met this really cute chick and fell in love and had loads of babies....make it up!!

  • Yeah, that would have made a better story. I see her from tine to time. She has gotten a little heavy in recent years. Now that makes it all funny.

  • ..its crap if you still love someone tho, huh. been in that situation too.

  • Lindo, Adorei.

  • its awsome

  • I've always loved this song. It's classic country. Thanks for posting.

  • beautiful song, love it.

  • My dad died in a truck accident with his friend in Little ROck this May 2007... I'm from NY and went there just to lay my flowers on the highway right of routhe 30, say a prayer... this song reminds me so much of those days, my lonely walk through the small town, eating fish in the Flying Fish House, listening to young people playing guitars by the river... Nice music, I really like it.

  • Im sorry to hear about yor dad

  • so sorry 4 that, i lost my dad to cancer, i play stevie nicks "i still miss someone" to think of him, due to his love of johnny cash songs. x

  • In my family, I have the widest adversity of taste, and my family says it's bad, but I never let them say this song it bad, I don't allow that insult twords L.A.W! She went to college for song-writing in music and what-not, but she doesn't write most of her songs, can someone prove me wrong? In the meantime, I'll listen to this beautiful song!
