  • you sound like you work for the Brady bunch. i didnt hear a single valid point, just a bunch of what ifs and exaggerations. what is the difference between a cop open carrying his weapon and me open carrying mine??? a badge?? give me a break

  • I think open carry is positive. I would trust someone carrying a gun that way because you know they are legaly carrying and a responsible law abiding person. Its only the bad guys that carry and hide their guns. If your up to no good your not going to show the gun.

  • Darn good video! It raised some great points I have not have before and I agree with this 100%.

    Thanks for the wisdom

  • Too me, open carry is provocative for the most part. I would rather no one know I'm carrying due to less the criminals know about you, the element of surprise is still available. You don't win a poker game by revealing your cards. I think the laws should go hand in hand and both require a course along with back ground check.

  • john cena

  • "An armed society is a polite society."

  • I think you have a good point!! Go to 8:26 The point made here is the icing on the cake. The laws in America SUCK!!. They say we can and then they say we cant.I live in South Georgia--USA. Here we open carry or conceal carry.I know the looks you spoke of and its scarry at first, but after having done it for 7 years now,I dont see that many looking at me crazy. I think it depends on how you dress and carry yourself as a person when open carrying as to the looks you get. Give more talks!!

  • only an Idiot would believe it's not provocative.

normal people just don't want anyone with a gun around them. not in the streets not anywhere.

  • @gusto1978 As a professional bank robber I totally agree with you! I feel unwanted at my job. I have to open carry sometimes for obvious reasons.I do not have a CCW permit. They keep rejecting me.

  • @gusto1978 People with guns freak me out. Disturb my job progress.

  • @knox995 people without guns freak me out.

  • @gusto1978 well thats your opinion and when you get mugged or murdered by someone and have no way to defend yourself it'll be a dumb position to take on the matter

  • @jthomas1878 I live in a great city.. we dont all live in a shit town riddled with criminals.

and besides I'm a big guy and know how to defend myself with out a fucking gun

  • @gusto1978 all mussle no brains. good luck stopping bullets with that thick scull.

  • @dav61474 To be fair, people like that could probably get shot 5 times in the head without any change to their IQ.

  • All I have to say is, BLACKHAWK : SERPA

  • @xRemisHx Serpas are nice until you have to draw quickly in an emergency.

Ask Tex Grebner shot himself using his Serpa. I'd have shot myself dozens of times if I hadn't practiced thousands of times with an unloaded weapon first.

  • i believe open carry is more of a political statement and exercising of rights then self defense. in a time where our rights are being destroyed with the ndaa and numerous other bills i am glad see this is became a more main stream thing to do.

  • I would never open carry. Too much attention. I don't need that. haha

  • Even if my State (Florida) offered the option of open carry, I would still carry concealed. I just don’t want anyone to know I have a weapon.

  • Right now in this current climate especially where I live it would be considered provocative because no one does it so you would be seen as someone who is looking for attention

Its positive if more people would do it. I would LOVE to see open carry commonplace

  • Decent video goindeff and I AGREE that Concealed Carry, where it is legal, is THE best way to protect yourself and those around you, WITHOUT making yourself a target like Open Carry inherently DOES!

Granted, where concealed carry is illegal or very difficult, then I DO support open carry, because that is the only option for self defense in a deadly situation. BUT if a state is "shall issue" there is NO point OR tactical advantage to Open Carry, PERIOD!

  • I want to open carry MG42 haha, just kidding. But yea, open carry means someone could crab it from your holster, especially in a bar and places as such.

  • i would not want to live in a community where you have to openly display a firearm to feel safe. Its quite a sad situation.

  • but you can carry bullets with you while you can carry

  • it doesnt matter if someone grabs your gun x.x your not allowed to carry a gun that has bullets chambered in it.

  • Hello,

I'm a PA resident and i carry a Government model 1911 with a BlackHawk CQC Serpa paddle holster concealed.

Only reason is the element of surprise!

For instance acting scared and nervous during a parking lot burglary and when the times right you can draw. IDK

or if a bank gets burglarized and you are concealed carrying you can hit the ground like they say and then draw when moment strikes. IDK

open carry could help you with the parking lot, but not with the bank. in my opinion.

  • cops open carry all the time and no one gives a shit

  • @Downbeatoff they are law enforcers, dont kid urself and think u are by carrying a gun

  • Comment removed

  • all u dumb mother fuckers who carry guns are pussies. you use it for intimidation and power over others not protection. you know if someone fucks with you your pulling ur gun for "your" safety. ur all pussies. If you people are tht scared you shouldnt have a weapon to make bad decisions with

  • you do not own a firearm i presume? Well owning a firearm and carrying one is like when the internet phones and android phones came out and people like me thought i don't need that what the hell do i need that for.

But when i got my android phone i was like wow! how did i live without this.

And some people open carry for attention from law enforcement and civilians.

Me i conceal carry, you never know buddy.

criminals have guns what do you have?

  • @tma450 You fuckin scumbag STFU. If someone wants to fight me whatever we can do that but I rather not. Nobody will ever see my edc weapon ever unless that person has a weapon and is threatening me or my familys life. Then I will shoot to kill and that doesn't make me a pussy it makes sure that some piece of shit doesn't take my life. And I don't want to hear any of your fake ass rambo stories about how you will disarm me. I'm a sherrif and I've seen that fail several times. Punks loose

  • @4girls1bucket wht is a threat? If some one has a gun on u chances are ur dead b4 u get urs out the holster. u have a better chance doing wht the person says when theres a gun pointed at u, I dont wanna hear ur fake ass rambo story bout how ur going to pull ur piece and save the day, get real or u die

  • @tma450 I saw that movie last week it sucked then and it's even worse when you tell it. The difference between you and me besides the obvious...I will die defending myself my family and my community. For 8yrs I put my life on the line defending my country. I'm not a coward like you I would rather be dead than a victim. But I guess that's why I've chose my job to defend the innocent and weak and your job I'm sure involves deep frying something or stocking shelves.

  • @4girls1bucket I like how you sent me a PM and blocked me from sending you one. Your comments and PM showed me a side of you that I think many see...And you blocking me only proves it........YOU'RE A COWARD. Go ahead and "do what the person with the gun says" and when they shoot you anyway then you will die a coward. Less than half of the shootings I've responded to ended with a positive outcome. But almost all of the defense related shootings did. You do the math chicken shit.

  • @tma450 While I DO agree with you that a lot of the Open Carry types are cop-wannabees. I vehemently disagree with you that when citizens are allowed to carry a firearm (I believe CONCEALED carry is the BEST way when possible!) that things and crime rates in gen. are worse than if they were unarmed.

You fail to realize that even though it doesn't get reported on TV every night, that between 2 to 2.5 MILLION times a year, law abiding people STOP violent crimes because they WERE armed.

  • @PJS50 it is 7 lives are saved by the gun for every 1 taken in a crime... you never hear this from the presstitutes and for good reason

  • @tma450

brave talk, from an anonymous fag on the internet. you, sir, have just FAILED.

  • Honestly, I think if folks knew how many people are carrying concealed, they'd be very surprised. I carry concealed, but I have seen a couple of men (no women so far) open carry at the wal mart near me and didn't see anyone freaking out. It may have to do with where one lives. On paper, open carry does seem more dangerous, though some will say concealed carry makes it harder to access the weapon. This debate will never be settled. LOL

  • Good video bro. What part of VA do you live in?

  • It's brandishing exactly! Its like wearing your dick on the outside of your pants. Proves to everyone you're a man and commands their respect at the same time.

Open carry just makes the gun accessible and more of a liability. Just like you said, your attention cant be on your gun at all times. Anyone so inclined could take it from you before you even noticed, even with a thumb breaker.

  • I personally conceal carry but I believe in the choice to practice both.

  • Open carry can stop conflict before it starts with out you even knowing it. You can comfortably carry a larger pistol. However it also means you draw attention so a criminal who is intent on committing a crime will pop you first taking you out of the picture. It can cause hassles with ignorant law enforcement and managers of stores.

Concealed carry doesn't stop conflict before it happens. but you can determine the time to let others know your armed. You may be restricted to a smaller gun.

  • i think if you open carry u put yourself in a very defensive position and that not good.

  • I have a motorcycle am I allowed to carry on the bike?

  • Just putting this out there... I don't carry a firearm and I've hung out in some pretty sketchy places. Nobody has ever "messed" with me beyond a hobo asking me for change--which I freely give ($0.75 doesn't mean much to me). I support open carry and even concealed carry but think that a lot of firearms owners have an unnecessarily confrontational/survivalist attitude.

Also, I'm 5'9 and 125 lbs. I wear khakis and a button down shirt. Not even squirrels find me threatening.

  • By openly carrying you do make yourself a target for certain types of people. People who think they might be able to make off with your firearm. True or not, I would consider that uninvited attention. Plus, you give up the element of surprise in a situation where you might need to use it. I, personally, would rather other people NOT know that I am carrying. But that's me, people are free to carry however they wish within the confines of their state laws.

  • PORVOCATIVE OR NOT FOR ME OPEN CARRY MEANS DO NOT MESS WITH THIS GUY/LADY IF YOU DO YOU GOING TO GET LEAD AS FEEDBACK

  • If open carry is legal in your state then do it. If you don't exercise your 2A rights you may lose them.

  • Dude...don't say I don't want to use the word brandishing, then in the next breath say you are brandishing. OCers are not brandishing. Brandishing has a definite legal meaning under the law other than just lawfully open carrying a firearm in a holster.

  • Personally, I've seen open carries on YouTube where their shirt is tucked between gun and waist....I drape my jacket, shirt tail, what have you, over the gun. I don't wear camos....I know I can, I know I have these rights...but let's apply a little basic psychology for the Sheople and the liberals out there. Also, my holster is canted forward, it can't be taken out from behind. As has been mentioned, an elbow, hip throw and some SA helps also!!

  • why would you want to open carry, bad guys plans to rob store, he see's you have a gun on your hip he's probably going to aim for you first.

  • SERPA, and SITUATIONAL AWARENESS- and the ability to throw a damn elbow and effect a hip toss, there will be NO 'taking of my gun'

  • sorry to say now days people are just dumb,so open carry is just dumb.

  • i don't open carry to make a statement, political or otherwise. i open carry because it's practical. people who open carry because they want to be some kind of "activist" should reevaluate their priorities. guns are tools for violence, for good or evil. open carry is faster, easier, and shaves seconds off my draw. i have a family who i love, so that's important to me. i could care less about "educating the public," or any of that nonsense.

  • @jahwarrior72 i also could care less if it offends people in public. those people aren't responsible for me or my family's safety, i am. people's opinions aren't gonna keep us safe, my gun is.

i don't think retention "devices" are also overrated. if your situational awareness is so low that you need to have one, you shouldn't carry a gun. anyone carrying a gun had damn well better know what's going on around them, and be aware of the state of their weapon.

  • @jahwarrior72 I totally agree on the first point, sadly i'm in California so no more open carry of handguns:(. However on your second point i do see the necessity of some kind of retention on your firearm. There are just too many ways for your weapon to get snagged or fall out. I hate being the "what if" guy but you never know how youre going to be attacked you could easily be blindsided end up rolling around on the ground with someone and then your unsecured firearm slips out of your holster.

  • @jahwarrior72 i have to say that is the best statement I've read for open carry. Thanks.

  • If you're not the type who pays attention to your surroundings, I agree that open carry isn't the way to go. I open carry primarily because I want to discourage criminals BEFORE they try me, but also because I want to help stop people from being alarmed by seeing a citizen carrying a gun which is something concealed carry can't do. I'd add that I've never had a problem here in my state with open carry with regard to either the police or the general public, but YMMV. However you carry, carry.

  • Yesterday, Nobody was killed from Open carry, But many more where killed by concealed carry.

  • @tehatemachine Did you just make that up?

  • @rb2112002 Did you just not understand humor that can possibly be true?

  • @tehatemachine Sorry, not seeing the humor.

  • @rb2112002 hahah your funny.

  • openly carrying your pistol or rifle is not brandishing. to brandish your weapon is to wave or shake your weapon. also, having a concealed weapon is not open carry, because NO one can see the CONCEALED handgun. OPEN carry is when people can clearly see the gun.

  • Oh yeah, and the over under 38 derringer just in case I run outta ammo.. LMAO!! I think its called a Texas reload. whip out another piece and another, and another and another, oh yeah and another... Etc!!! Thanks 2nd ammendment.

  • Hell sometimes ill carry a underfolding shotgun or rifle with folding stock in a laptop bag, along with my pistol IWB and my BUG in the pocket. And For kicks to see how i can go about it, I have gone out with a pistol on each ankle, two iwb crossbreeds, a shoulder rig with a 1911, and a pocket pistol. LOL. forget the tactical reload, just pull out another piece. LOL. Seems like a lot I know, but just for the Hell of it sometimes. thats 6 pistols and a rifle all ccw.

  • Speaking in Public is often VERY Provocative, but it is still my Right.

Voting is Provocative, but it's still my Right.

Going to Church can be highly Provocative in some circles, but it's still my Right.

The people who are "Provoked" are the problem.

If my Constitutionally Protected Rights 'Provoke' them then they need to step out of the country for a while until they get over it.

    BTW:

The 2nd Amendment does not require any form of permission or permit to carry, even Concealed.

  • I'm completely a pro gun guy I would love if every state would allow open and concealed carry but I don't think you should be allowed to go into a bar with a gun whether you are open carrying or concealed carrying.... guns and alcohol don't mix

  • @CODproR19 I agree.. Funny thing in Nevada you can carry in bars and drink(consume booze), your BAC can be up to .10 and dui is .08. odd laws but thats the current law. I carry in bars all the time. I dont drink but I hang out at times with friends at bars and I am always strapped, condition #1. From when I wake up, to when I go to bed. In the morning I put on watch, grab wallet, put on a crossbreed with my pistol choice for the day, If I need deeper conceal, Ill carry a DeSantis pocket rig.

  • @CODproR19 Totally agree. Reason being that not only do guns and alcohol not mix, alcohol and some people don't mix. When I get drunk I get happy and giggly and would rather hug you than shoot you. Some people could sip the foam off an MGD 64 and be ready to stab their best friend in the eyeball with the nearest sharp object. Whenever you're introducing an intoxicating substance to a person with their own unique body chemistry, I'd rather they not be armed. Thing is though I don't want to be

  • @CODproR19 unarmed unless everybody else there is unarmed too, which requires the bar to check people as they enter.

  • I agree with you. Open carry is a cool idea but once you get into public & deal with some members of society & finger waggers.. its not worth the headache. I'd go for concealed carry.

  • Hehe try open carrying in New York =D

  • Open Carry is primarily provocative to the stupid, but also positive for the ones that are PRO-CONSTUTION.

  • @lemover You're an idiot, and you are screwing up MY rights! Don't believe me? Look at Kalifornia. They LOST their last right to defend themselves w/Open Carry because so many idiots like you went out to "prove the point" that you COULD open carry. NOW you can't OC in Kali., even when you NEED to!

Also, you make yourself a target when you OC, which you WOULDN'T be, if to concealed carry. Don't believe me? Watch this and LEARN!

    youtube.com/watch?v=zx_YUO4SzcY&feature=related

  • @PJS50 So, to use your 'opinion', we are to stop walking down the street (which is legal) and we are to stop driving cars (which is also legal). But when legal we cannot carry openly? BTW, cars kill more people per year than justified shootings from both open and concealed carriers. Do some homework before you open that garbage pit you call a mouth, TROLL!

  • @lemover There you go! You don't have the brains to argue with logic, so you throw up the insults and show EXACTLY how ignorant you REALLY are...

Go ahead, make yourself a target and Open Carry. Better yet, do it in my neighborhood and I will expose how STUPID you really are with a little demonstration I have devised for OC people to illustrate how easily they are disarmed. Oh don't worry, I don't have to try and take your weapon, in fact I won't even TOUCH you! But when I'm done, you'll know.

  • @PJS50 Well, troll, you began the insults by stating you were going to teach me. American founders and the men and women of the armed forces do not care what sheeple like you think of open carry. It is the criminals that hide thier weapons.

You, sir, are a complete and utter idiot. The constitution uf the US makes it unlawfull to attempt to educate morons, like yourself (1st amendment). The only thing I ask is that you shut your pie-hole and let me exercise my rights (2nd amendment).

  • @lemover LoL... Troll; WTF is that supposed be, an insult?

Being called a troll by a worm is a step UP I think... LoL...

Go ahead and continue to open carry you ignorant putz... I hope it doesn't cost you your life some day when Joe Crackhead, who is NOT open carrying, puts a bullet in the back of your head so that he can have your gun too... Then it will be game-over for Lemover, and the rest of us smart gunowners will continue on...

  • I dont like open carry at all. Minimally positive (if at all), mostly provocative, draws too much unwanted attention, and a lot of these "open carry" vids on youtube are filmed by D-bags who are just waiting for a confrontation with police and freaking out the general public. I guess they get a kick out if it.

  • I personally don't open carry because if it does elicit attention and the police are called it detours the police from performing or responding to something genuinely urgent and far more important. The irony here is ideology. If I'm wearing a Tea Party shirt or "I hate President Obama", both within my rights, I'm probably not going to have the police called on me, but may still get the same level of ire, but with a gun people feel more incline to call the police as they think guns are illegal.

  • @BuzWeaver Both of your concerns I've heard of. However isn't that a great way to educate the general public.

  • What if what if you fucking useless retards a right is a right. There's is no debate what is written as a right no condition no opinion or debate a citizen has a second amendment right to bear ( carry) arms. PERIOD dosnt matter if open or concealed or with a pokadotted shirt it's a right. I don't care if you like it or not it's a right it's a right. Duh it's a right.

  • good video

  • The element of surprise is taken away if you open carry. Sure it's a deterrent in some cases, but at least one case it caused a robbery, the guy was robbed of his open carry gun. I have been using a CCW permit for just about 20 years, and I prefer concealed, but I also want a right to open carry if available. Can't wait until New Yorker (NY City) folks decide to open carry and challenge the city and state of New York.

  • if a mugger is looking for a victim he will not rush in to a fair fight. if he see u have one, it would make him think twice.

  • i live in NYc and am all for gun rights. BUT this is a big city. we all walk everywhere and in our neighborhoods. If I go to the park with my kid, honestly, I do not want to see some guy with a gun hanging out. neither some guy next to me at church. So I deem it provocative. I have traveled much around the world and to me it just seems so third world when people walk around with guns exposed. However I believe we should have that right but be respectful of others.

  • Per your request, I watched the whole video. How to make it better? More time in editing.. cut liberally, eliminate repetition and anything else that isn't necessary to make your point. Thx.

  • If everyone opened carried then it wouldn't be provocative. It would be just the norm,

  • Ive been open carring every single day and i mean EVERY SINGLE DAY Sence i was 18 years old even though i have a cpl. I dont believe in conceal carry. I shouldnt have to hide my gun for peoples "discomforting" feelings.

  • @jeboyer318443 Well, if you carried since you were 18, were you carrying illegally? Isn't it illegal for a person 18 to possess hand guns and hand gun ammunition? Or is it just illegal to transfer handguns and ammo to a person under 21?

  • "The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"

What part of" shall not be infringed" do people not understand????

    The Constitution is NOT negotiable.

  • @xDONTxTREADxONxMEx

=) hahahahahahaha people are fucking stupid SHALL NOT that's plain and simple

  • @xDONTxTREADxONxMEx You're right the Constitution is not negotiable, but until our Judges in our State and Federal Courts respect the Constitution, you're as good as not having a constitution. Seriously, I can name several judges that would rather not have a constitution in this country.

  • Carrying openly means the bad guy knows who he has to kill first. I usually carry concealed, but sometimes open carry can be necessary because the nature of open carry is an offensive one. Going on the offense to prevent crime is not a bad thing, but I think open carry should be used with discretion. There are many advantages to carrying a gun concealed as opposed to blatantly showing the world that you're packing, but it should always be a tool available to us if we feel we need it.

  • About a year ago I watched an armed robbery go down not 15 feet from me. I not only couldn't help the retail clerk, but if the muzzle of that pistol had been pointed at me, I couldn't have helped myself either. If I had OC, perhaps the robbery wouldn't have occurred (best result) or maybe the thug would have simply fired at me first ... it's impossible to know. Guns, OC or CC, will only become a definite deterrent when there is a good chance that there is more than one present.

  • Great point! I live in AZ where conceal carry w/o permit is legal and I still see open carry. I agree, open carry causes problems. I see guys at WalMart with an open carry firearm and they think just because they have that right that they flaunt it. Good for them. They don't realize that people like myself, who see that they have no kind of retention holsters, when they are just looking at whatever and I want to pass by them in the aisle- have to be cautious as to not "startle" them. Hassle.

  • oppen carry is unnesesery ,even cops not in uniform dont show off ,showing your gun when not in uniform is unnessery ...

  • @pakifucker999999999 You're drunk and you're obviously pro-cop and nothing else. Admit it, even the cops do- cops off-duty and plain clothes are the WORST when it comes to weapons concealment. That's because they don't care and because they are the slaveowners. Why hide it? "Ma'am, I'm a COP" That's all it takes for your bootlicker kind. "Oooh... I sorry,so sorry ossifer- I be go home now and tamoorows I vote for the Obama!!"

  • Good video!! it makes me want to look up the laws in my state to see if they have changed or not

  • Good video! From my point of view, coming from Europe, I would say: guns made America great! As to provocative, well, it is actually quite simple: as long as you do not brandish your weapon in a rude or deliberately belligerent way, there should be nothing provocative about openly carrying it. (I have German MG 42 machine gun, even though it is deactivated, that might be a little too extreme for open display)

  • another great video! just found all your videos and going through them now!

I love my blackhawk serpa for open carry, simple lock release button for quick draw and very sturdy.

  • luckly im in arizona. 1 of the 3 states with open carry without permit. the others are vermont and alaska.

  • @chris061290 actually PA residents don't need a permit to oc either there are restrictions that won't apply though if you have a ccp

  • @MrDougwallace thats good that they dont need a permit. that now makes 4 states that dont need permits

  • hey a pretty decent point you have made. and lol at the coke at the bar that must be nice. anyways cool vid man.

  • I know its a bit late but I watched it all the way through and I like these kinds of videos. -Vincent

  • do you have rats or mice in your garage wtf is that sound

  • glad to here u r from va the vid was great

  • I stear clear of open-carriers not because of them personally (exceptions are present) but because if I was a criminal I would see that person as a threat that in order for me to continue must be removed.

Which is bad news for anyone near them.

Sorry for the spam but 500 characters isn't enough to cobble complete lines of thought together.

  • Comment removed

  • idunno? IMO I see it as positive. I also believe that the more they see them the more "intune" they will be. Give me FREEDOM! or Give me DEATH!

  • Most all good forms of protest and/or activism is "provocative". If you are not, to some degree, putting your message in someone else's face then you are not getting heard. But open carry is not brandishing unless you are touching it or making reference to it and threatening someone. That is far from what open carriers do...in fact most open carriers teach themselves to pretty much just carry on with their business as if it isn't on them at all.

  • I think it is positive in part BECAUSE it is provocative. I think it is BOTH. I've educated WAY more people because it is visible than I have freaked out. In fact....has anyone ever freaked out when I've open carried?

  • This is probably the best video on this topic I have seen so far.

  • It's positive all the way. If Americans look into history at how we went from muzzle loaders to cased bullet ammo and carried on the hip and on our horses. However the 2nd Amendment does not give you the right to fire your weapon in city limits for the fun of it. Positive by what I mean is deterance. Slime balls target the weak and undefended. Just like with electricity. They go with the path of least resistance. Criminals conceal their weapons as not to attrack attention to themselves.

  • i don't want to be a part pooper but... i don't think you should drink while you have a firearm on youself

  • Great Video!! wow U guys do have relaxed gunlaws lol. In FLorida were only allowed to conceal carry! And we cant bring any weapons into a place that serves or sells Alcohal.. Makes sence but it does suck because im Bartender and coming out of work with 300-400 bucks a night at 4A.M. isnt a very safe thing!! I just wish i can cary to work to protect myself.. But any ways Great Video

  • I think concealed is safer, for both carrier & the state - don't want loonies or crooks making a grab in a crowd (I live in NYC...), and you won't scare the shit out of the tourists. I fail to see a benefit in states/cities forcing open carry. WTF? Regarding the terminology, I kind of agree with truthandfactsonly: just call it "carry," or some approximation thereof. States distinguishing between open and concealed just strikes me as rather silly, as are, IMHO, the great majority of gun laws.

  • As long as there are gun-fearing people out there, open carry could be considered provocative (by them). It's all in the eye of the viewer. I sat through several handgun courses here in AZ, where open carry has always been allowed, and the general consensus from the instructors was to just cover it up and you won't run the risk of scaring anyone.

Thanks for the video. You made some great points.

  • You know what would be good for open carry? If people stopped calling it open carry, and started calling it "Constitutional Carry." With the huge movement to restore the constituion it is a much easy to get people to agree that you have constitutional right rather than just "brandishing a weapon."

  • @truthandfactsonly Great Idea, I like that. But im sure that still wouldnt work lol

  • @truthandfactsonly I agree 100%! I will start calling it "Constitutional Carry" from now on.

  • @truthandfactsonly I know this is am old video , but if I may I'd like to borrow your "Constitutional Carry" term. WOW AWESOME way to word it !.

    Long LIVE the CONSTITUTION !!!

  • Respond to this video... I still fall to the UNALIENABLE part of the CONSTITUTION. When dealing with rights. Come on over to some of the people I sub to their now talking about this quite a bit. Especially Mr5point56. I'll sub you so it will be a little easier.

  • well over here you dont open carry because you get asked all day if it's a Colt or a Kimber also where did you get those grips.

  • WHAT???? who doesnt bring an ak-47 to target? those stores can be dangerous

  • Good video

  • Thanks for the info dude, live in a free state here as well, no restrictions, i prefer conceal carry myself too, would like to know more of your experiences' on both ends of open and concealed carry, i am very new to it, just got my ccw 2 weeks ago, cheers mate!

  • Great Video.. Just had to Subscribe!! Thx.....

  • also check out some vids from this guy about open carry. badace

  • CCW's are unable to get where I live in California. So my only option is open carry. the 1 time I have carried open I was asked to leave the store I was in. I carried more in protest of the impending law change not for protection. I didn't even have any magazines or ammo. I did carry in a blackhawk cqc serpa.

  • I'm generally against open carry, and a lot of it has to do with the intent behind it! Like, some argue that it is a deterrent to crime, but I disagree. One; You've just eliminated any element of surprise. Two; Now the bad guy might want that nice gun you're carrying for themselves, and all they have to do is sneak up on you, which ain't that hard to do. Three; If this is your reason for doing it, you're trying to be intimidating, and I'm against that! (continued...)

  • @palerider1775 FOUR; It carries the incorrect belief that just having a gun makes you safer. Do you know how to use that gun in a wide range of situations? For this last reason, I am glad that Florida does not allow open carry. I am a Concealed Weapon & Firearm License holder, and I'm all for the 2nd Amendment. But I don't want a bunch of John Wayne wanna-be's walking around open carrying just 'cause they think it's gonna make them look tough and keep them safe, because that is not so. Good vid!

  • When you make a video on traveling armed it would be cool if you include states like Illinois as they are more strict than most. Cool vid bud.

  • I watched the video all the way through. I think you're missing the point about Situational Awareness. And, I think that more people should open carry.

  • You have to look at it this way, if your a bad guy you are going to take out the guy with the gun first

  • You have to look at it this way, if your a bad guy you are going to take out the guy with the gun

  • I watched the vid all the way through. I live in New York. There is no such thing as open carry in NY unless you are a LEO in uniform. If someone were to open carry around here, there would be about 12 people calling 911 the instant they stepped out of the car. The SWAT team would show up, and I guarantee someone would sue for mental trauma... Too many liberals around here... I happen to be a LEO, and I feel wierd when I open carry in uniform. Not a gun friendly state.

  • I think the opinion on OC is in the eye of the beholder either you like it or you don't

  • I have to disagree with your assessment. Although, here in Washington, we can't carry into any 21 or older area. Having the kid gasp would've been a good learning moment for him. No need to change aisle's. I think OC'ing is both positive and provocative. However, it's only provocative in that the person freaking out is really doing so because they have to look at themselves and realize they made a choice to be defenseless. I both OC and CC. It depends on how hot it is outside.

  • Nice video....I will be posting a video response!

  • i have your shirt

  • @ENTERMYDEATHMASK Well I want it back

  • @Goindeff haha i meant i have the same shirt

  • When I drive my Subaru Outback nobody notices--

When I drive my Porsche 911 every stinkin Bemer

wants to race -- think about it--!

  • +1 for retention if you OC, a KaBar TDI is also nice in case you have to wrestle for the pistol.

  • @tyhouston5 Carry a TDI everyday

  • I personally wouldn't want to open carry. Unless circumstances justified open carry. Good topic.

  • Definitely agree with you. Concealed is definitely less provocative.

  • people freak out because they are conditioned to think guns are bad. its a shame. open carry is a bad idea unless you work in a pawn shop.. I would watch more videos of you talking. its cool.

  • Great vid man. I agree with you but I would still demand the right to open carry even though I don't normally.

  • I would love to see a video like you described.

  • Here in NW Oregon, it is nearly impossible to open carry.

  • @Ralastar That is totally untrue. I have open carried for the last three years in Oreogn without problems.

  • Comment removed

  • @Ralastar Just saw your channel. I live in Gresham, and am confused by all the conflicting answers I get. From Multnomah Co., city of Portland, Gresham, and what I would've considered, "educated" firearm enthusiasts. I just need a clear answer, dammit. Send me to school!

    BTW, subbed to your channel.

  • @Ralastar Watch my vid on open carry from a few weeks ago and check out my post on oregon section of opencarry org for more info.
