  • Not bad, but I do it better :p

  • @TonySlug

Duh.... You're a pro musician so you're supposed to be better lol!

But feel free to check out some of my more recent "work". A lot has changed since I record and mix in Cool Edit Pro, instead of doing audio and video at the same time with a crappy camcorder.

  • i watch ur stuff every day cant get enough ur the best

  • @Happel49

    Thanks a lot. Much appreciated!

  • exellent guy

  • ohhhh Man you're the Best...

johnny must be so proud of you.

    Muy bien, felicitaciones.

  • Muchas gracias!

  • If you really want to be picky, the refrain is played with the major chord shapes, E, A and D in the 2nd fret.

  • I know that I have the bad habit to play everything in barre chords;) Thanks for pointing that out.

  • que buen temaaa! excelente!

  • Gracias! Eso cancion me gusta mucho!

  • Ok thanks. I have the 'It's Alive' DVDs and I have seen 'End of the Century'. Both very impressive.

BTW, humbuckers do feedback, especially those that are not wax-potted, cheap ones and high output hums.

  • On a side on, on Road to Ruin Johnny for the first time uses the JMP MK II. Notice the difference between sound compared to for example Ramones! It's much colder and... "higher", if you can say so. Still the same pups as on the blue tho. I want a MK II. Someday I will be rich enough to get one..!

  • Did you take into account that studio production/EQ also can alter the guitar sound dramatically? From 'Road to Ruin' and up Johnny's guitar sounds different on each following album. Sometimes I wonder if he really only used Mosrites while working in the studio...

  • Yeah, I did take that into account. Maybe its that I own a JMP Super Lead and it has a very warm tone and I cant achieve a similar tone even with EQ as on road to ruin. I know John didnt use just the Ventures II model he also used a Ventures I model on rocket to russia for a couple of songs. I wanna be your boyfriend was recorded with a fender american standard strat, hence the sparkly sound. Sheena second guitar was also a strat.

  • That from the Strat I knew. Do you happen to know if and on which songs he used the Hamer USA. He had a Hamer endorsement for a short while.

  • he used it live for loudmouth a couple of times and some TV appearances. On any song you can hear feedback on, thats not the hamer. The hamer had minihumbuckers and humbuckers dont feedback. You should get End of the Century, Ramones RAW and It's Alive DVD collection. Awesome resource for ramones stuff. Theres was some other DVD too I think but I forgot the name.

  • The intro is played with open chords actually. :)

  • You are right. I didn't saw the video:(

  • I always thought something was wrong cause the A sounded higher than E in the song, which is not true in powerchords.

  • My favorite Ramones album.Nice & agressive playing.Thanks again

  • Are you using all downstrokes? I can't tell hahaha awesome covers man!

  • Thank you and yes it are all downstrokes. It takes some practice but after a while it becomes a second nature. (But now I have problems to do up or alternate stroking ha ha!)

  • where the heck did u get that mosrite? i want one so bad.

  • Oh, it's only a copy from Eastwood Guitars (JR-Elite) but it's a good player. I upgraded the tuners, pickup and the bridge.

  • From Brasil: Muito loco !

  • Thanks!

  • From Brazil again Und Japan!

Nice On, pal! I like it, added to favorites, hell yeah!

[off] He writed (loco) 'cause on Brazil is very commum peoples writing that way...

But he means 'louco' (in english, like, very fun, awesome, fckn crazy, etc...)

[off] Escreveu loco, pois é muito comum aqui no brasil as pessoas escreverem assim, em gírias ou abreviações! Mas no sentido real ele quis dizer louco mesmo! LOL Capisco brother!? [/off]

  • ya ^^

  • valeuzão klauns pela traduction bem loka que vc fez para o truta ChineseR0ck,,,,

    he he he......

Ce ta no Japão véi ?

  • Nice one, you are Johnny Ramone! How do you create the backing track?

  • Thanks. I play the album track over the PC and overplay Johnny's guitar by volume. Then, in Pinnacle I post process the sound with a 10 band equalizer to enhance the frequencies of my guitar and do some general sound balancing; often I also have to pump up the bass a little.

  • Wow, awesome. One of my favorite.

  • Thanks!

  • thumbs upward ? :D

  • lol thanks!

  • Pretty cool song. Awesome playing.. ^_^

  • Thanks. It was a tricky song to master because of some weird chord changes and interludes.

  • thats awesome, great job

i want that guitar, shirt and the amp, lol

  • ha ha thanks! stop complaining, you own an awesome les paul and soon a marshall half stack... lol

OK, april i will travel again to thailand so at least i could bring you a t-shirt:)
