  • @ 2:04, nope - it's me, doing casual drag...and TRU - I think labeling is up to the individual. I know many, like myself, for whom "butch" and "boi" are very much applicable. But, since it IS an individual thing, everyone has the right to ID as they choose.

  • @2:04 isnt that Limp Biskit the rapper?

  • the new generation calls the term 'butch' now 'STUD or AG ' we stop saying butch

  • Love it, love it, love it!

    Thank you for this :)))!!!

  • Love the photoes

  • I LOVE this song.

  • I think gender diversity is, in and of itself, the expression of ALL variance from the pre-expressed gender norm. IMHO, transsexual individuals are naturally queered by their choice to embrace their gender regardless of societal expectations. There is no set way to view the world if one is female, socialized as male coming of age and vice-versa.

  • You were ok until you showed transsexuals -- transsexuals conform to the binary by picking the opposite sex to emulate &/or attempt to become through the use of hormones and surgeries, embracing every stereotype (good or bad) they hold of that sex -- but Butches .. we break the binary and gender rules every single day just by being us.

  • Hey faolchuscatha, I think you need to re-educate yourself as to what transsexual and transgender can mean; both at the extreme ends of their spectrums as well as all the stops in between. I'm sure you get annoyed when straight people try to stick you in a box of rigid definitions and insist your identity is what they say it is.

  • Wow. What a biased, uneducated, and seriously fucked up thing to say.

How can you possibly say that every trans person conforms to the binary? You clearly haven't met many transsexuals in your life, or taken the time to understand where they're coming from and listen to their stories.

Seriously, go read some Kate Bornstein.

  • How fantastic was that? Thanks so much!

  • Where I live there are no butch femme bars or clubs. Didn't they have them all over back in the day? Granted you had to search but they had them. Not like today.

  • Try living in Romania!
