Oh, the poor deer didn't live long enough to be painfully mauled by a coyote or something, it got painlessly shot once and killed instantly by a human and that makes it so wrong. Grow up, people. People don't become murderers by shooting deer for food or sport, people become murderers because they have little regard for HUMAN life. Not animals. If the brain is shot and destroyed before pain receptors can send a signal to the brain telling your body that you are feeling pain now, no pain is felt as the sensation of pain would be sent after your death, and as we all know, dead beings can't feel pain. So your argument is invalid there.

Before guns were invented, humans killed deer with spears, tipped with poison which caused the animal to die slowly, or fragile obsidian rock that was meant to shatter like glass inside of the animal, causing it to bleed to death for minutes, not a fraction of a second as the case is with a bullet or an arrow.

They eat meat, their bodies cannot get the protein they need from vegetation alone, their bodies will become weak and they will die faster. Humans are no exception. Vegetarians and vegans need to have a protein supplement to go about their way of life.

But our bodies need it despite what form it comes in. Just so happens that animals are full of protein, and that is what humans are meant to run on. So yes, you can live without meat, but you cannot live without protein, and protein primarily comes from meat. That is the easiest way to get protein.
