I'm convinced the people that make TV commercials are in a conspiracy with the anti-depressant pharmaceuticals. The commercials have fully depressing songs so you watch enough of them sitting on your couch out of work and in debt that pretty soon it's time for "ask your doctor if non-drowsy "MIKOK" is right for you"
Everytime i hear this song, it's a reminder of the pain i felt losing my bestfriend of 13yrs. Just a month and a day after his 16th, his car was t-boned into a tree by a drunk-driver. I lost both my bestfriend and cousin in that one accident. This song is just a heart-breaking reminder of how bad it hurts to lose two important and close people to you. It's like losing apart of you.

On Sunday (May 16) my friend Jenna, 21, was killed with her friend Michael, 21, as well. It's unfair and cruel for those who are chose to go and whom to stay. This commercial is powerful and meaningful. I miss Jenna, and college will never be the same.
I will always remember my friend Ryan M, and my sons friend Stephanie W. I know so many young people that lost their lives on the road, too young to have more experience that could have made a difference. On Monday December 31st 2007 New Year's Eve, my friend Casey was killed in a car accident on his way to work, he was 25 and left behind his wife of 2 1/2 years. He was a police officer in Cedarville Ohio. Everytime I saw this commercial while it was running on TV I would think about him and how much we all miss him. Let's all be safe out there.

the day before thanksgiving, i was in a really bad car accident with my brother. it was my first accident too. luckily, no one was hurt, but my brother's car was totaled. and just last night, i was so close to being in a car accident with my parents. some guy was airborne and flying down our lane. again, we got lucky. if we got hit, without a doubt, i would be dead. but still, when someone slightly goes on the breaks, i always get shivers...getting over car accidents is not easy at all.
I remember listening to this song on the program called extreme makeover family edition The episode was about a lady searching for her kidnapped daughter, even after years she was still searching. A lady sang the song, and there were lots of ppl and everybody was crying, that episode made me cry a lot. I could be wrong on the song, but it sounded a lot like this. I think I would go crazy if I ever loose someone and not know what happened to that person. I would go crazy with regret for not saying the things that I never said and for not been able to protect that person.
When someone close to u dies, you dont have anymore chances, but when someone disapears, at least it is a little chance that you may be able to make things right. Even when you die waiting u die with a hope
that's a fear of mines: losing someone very close to me without them knowing how i feel. i don't know if it's pride or an image problem but i wish i was more open with my feelings that way there won't be any sad regrets but only happy memories.
i guess the time to open up starts now, that way i won't have to dream of turning back time to undo the regret when that day comes.

I lost people and also I lost and pets. It may be insignificant to mention a pet, but they give you so much unconditional love that most of the time we take for granted that they provide us company. I failed them, I failed those people that were part of my life, cause I never gave them words of love and showed them that I really cared for them, even when I did, I should had said somethhing. Those pets that I lost, I failed them cause I didnt protected them 100%.
my cat (my best pet) was dying. he had already gone to the vet earlier. at home, he dragged himself over to me, put his head on my feet, and later died... i will never forget that moment and how useless i felt. so i know how you feel.
i think people like us need to not focus on the past but on the now because time is flying by so fast, that if we're not careful, we'll miss the opportunity to make a difference in someone elses life.

Life is sooo short.

I lost three great friends almost two years ago now. Summer after freshman year, and they volunteered with the church to go help another church in Bishop. On the way home they went head on with a big rig on a two lane highway. ithe first death of a loved one i ever experienced, and i got three at once. I will never forget them. They were all great funny outstanding citizens. R.I.P. Hailey, Nick, and D.J.

19 years ago I lost a friend in a senseless accident. We were all going skiing and the person driving decided to pass a car in the snow and fog. She went head-on into another vehicle. He was the only one killed and I will never forget what David Gernon meant to me as a person and friend. R.I.P. Dave.

I lost one of my friends for 16 years. He was driving when he was envolved in a front end collision doing 50, he died instantly. So I know how it is to wish you oculd turn time back around. R.I.P Joshua Gavin Hoffman.

the day before thanksgiving, i was in a really bad car accident with my brother. it was my first accident too. luckily, no one was hurt, but my brother's car was totaled. and just last night, i was so close to being in a car accident with my parents. some guy was airborne and flying down our lane. again, we got lucky. if we got hit, without a doubt, i would be dead. but still, when someone slightly goes on the breaks, i always get shivers...getting over car accidents is not easy at all.

I remember listening to this song on the program called extreme makeover family edition The episode was about a lady searching for her kidnapped daughter, even after years she was still searching. A lady sang the song, and there were lots of ppl and everybody was crying, that episode made me cry a lot. I could be wrong on the song, but it sounded a lot like this. Whenever I watch the commercial I remember the episode. It would be so good to be able to turn time and undo what we regret

I think I would go crazy if I ever loose someone and not know what happened to that person. I would go crazy with regret for not saying the things that I never said and for not been able to protect that person.
When someone close to u dies, you dont have anymore chances, but when someone disapears, at least it is a little chance that you may be able to make things right. Even when you die waiting u die with a hope

that's a fear of mines: losing someone very close to me without them knowing how i feel. i don't know if it's pride or an image problem but i wish i was more open with my feelings that way there won't be any sad regrets but only happy memories.
i guess the time to open up starts now, that way i won't have to dream of turning back time to undo the regret when that day comes.
your post was a slap of reality and i guess i can't ignore what will eventually happen.

I lost people and also I lost and pets. It may be insignificant to mention a pet, but they give you so much unconditional love that most of the time we take for granted that they provide us company. I failed them, I failed those people that were part of my life, cause I never gave them words of love and showed them that I really cared for them, even when I did, I should had said somethhing. Those pets that I lost, I failed them cause I didnt protected them 100%.
I need to be more open also.

my cat (my best pet) was dying. he had already gone to the vet earlier. at home, he dragged himself over to me, put his head on my feet, and later died... i will never forget that moment and how useless i felt. so i know how you feel.
i think people like us need to not focus on the past but on the now because time is flying by so fast, that if we're not careful, we'll miss the opportunity to make a difference in someone elses life.

those experiences had made me learn a lot. I try not to do the same mistakes I did. I dont want to experience the same situation and regret it once again.
Like u said that you need to be more open. I do need to be more open, but I still like the privacy of my room to cry none stop. Crying makes my chest feel light and my head hurt, but it gives me satisfaction that I can control it and no one can make cry like I do.

privacy is essential in my life. i need the privacy of my room to truly grieve, if not then the burdens and sorrows i pile on myself will eat away on the inside until it will one day destroy me.
grieving is healthy. it's like laughter, it heals the soul. this is something i truly need.

i know this is about teens dying in car accidents but ... everytime i hear it- i think about how i had an accident & lost my memory. it was to much for my fiance to handle, me not remembering anything and he left me. this song just reminds me how much i miss him. the part that goes "i miss the years that were erased i miss the way the sunshine would lite up your face i miss all the little things i never thought they'd mean everything to me" is what kills me the most :[

the members are christian, but they are not under a christian label. just because the members are christian, it doesn't mean all their songs are about God. It even says at the end that its dedicated to the teens that lost their lives.

thank you, EXACTLY, this song was written for the purpose of this commercial, like i said below, this song is good, but it has the feel that it was written over a weekend, there really isnt much to it, a chours that plays over and over with a few things in the middle, repeating over and over.. all there other songs are more elaborate.

steve23guy- I don't see why repetition makes this feel like a haste-written song. It would be easy for the artist to connect to the experience and words will come out easily. And he repeats the same chorus because it's what the song is about- missing something from his past.

if u dont know this already, this song was origionally written as a prayer to God. just as most of us, he misses God. when he says these miles have torn us worlds apart... the miles are things like drinking, drugs, and just in general everything in this world. he says he can feel him, but he wants more. we can all have that if we could only listen to God and read his word. believe me, he will always be there for u!!

i know they are, but not every song a christian band does is about god, when they where blyss they were def. christian, now that they have been big for a few eyars they do what all bands do and "change there sound/music" my favorite song by them is everything, and i know its about god, but it can also have other meaning 2. but yeah. my comment below was a doosh bag comment, so i apoligize, just dont see this being about god, really, dont see it, its going to take more then ONE line to prove it
