  • for the longest time i thought it was vice versa that the remastered ones where the ones with the cover in the center and the big Ozzy letters on the right

  • this man is gunna outlive all of us

  • who did the backgrounds vocals with ozzy??

  • nobody can play giutar like randy roads

  • Comment removed

  • I like this version better than the remastered version, but honestly, why does everybody rag on the remastered version? It's not bad. Sure, it sounds a bit different, but its really not that big of a difference.....

  • @SaintPaul122

Well here's my thing...its not just remastered, but re-recorded. That's dishonest and just in bad taste really, plus the bass and drum sound isn't as good because the original musicans were better

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy Amen brother

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy maybe you know the answer to this...I bought this album in '82, post RR. Even though Kerslake and Daisley made the recordings, I'm guessing the original album sleeve had Ozzy's touring (?) rythm section with, Sarzo and Aldridge? And my roommate's dog at the time chewed up my copy of the album so my roommate gave me his...which only had the flimsy opaque plastic sleeve...damn dog!

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy and Randy Rhoads didn't meet the new guys either!!

  • Sounds even better on analog

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy Amen Brother. The reason behind it was super lame.

  • @SaintPaul122 r u kidding me? ok heres the big deal if u put the original in the store along with the remaster which one do you think the customer will pick? that option is not really out there. im just thankful that i have the original, because there is a big difference.

  • @valerieash Well, if they release both of them to be bought in stores, then what's your problem with that? You don't have to listen to the remastered version.

  • @SaintPaul122 maybe you didnt understand my comment. if you gave the fans the choice it would be fine, but they dont thats the problem. they took the original master piece and through it in the trash. thats the problem with the remastered version.

  • @valerieash Well, I mean.....It's not really your music. So why are you so personally offended by it? An artist should be entitled to do whatever he/she wants with their music. At the end of the day, the fans make or break a band. But it's still the band's music.

  • @SaintPaul122 so daisley and kerslake should be able to put the original version back in stores because its their music. well i dont see that happening, because ozzy claims music rights when he probably had nothing to do with the music writing. and look im a ozzy fan but this was just the wrong thing to do.

  • @valerieash I still don't understand what pisses people off so much about it. It's really got nothing to do with them and doesn't really affect them in any way.

  • @SaintPaul122 Bullshit,.

  • @SaintPaul122 Think of the thing you love MOST in this world. Whether is be your favorite song or your mother's favorite dish. Now replace a few ingredients in your mother's stew with hydrogenated soybean oil, high fructose corn syrup and MSG. It's the same thing right?!

  • im a believer, i aint no deciever, mountains move before my eyes <3

  • i haven't seen one comment where some one has spelt Rhoads right.

  • @YourNameHere136 Rhoads ;) rock on

  • The bass parts on the remix versions is almost identical. The only real difference is the sound. He played it almost note for note.People need to relax and just enjoy the music!

  • Dude Randy Rhoads is so amazing!!!! O.O

  • ( . Y . )

  • im a believer, that ozzy and randy rhodes made some of the best music of all time.

  • randy kickass rhodes, thank you for everything.

  • The only way this song could be better is if it was a bit longer...like forever! Awesome song! Mind blowing lyrics. Music gets you pumped up. Rock on \m/

  • OZZY FOR KING , LONG LIVE JOHN OSBOURNE ! YOU LEGEND !

  • I love how Randy just starts the solo the same as Mr. Crowley, fits the dark and broody mood of this Metal Masterclass!!!!

  • I actually prefer the 80's versions more than I do the '95 remasters. Anything that is remastered I stay away from.

  • Sharon is a stupid bitch for not paying the drummer and bass player. She will rot in hell along with Ozzy unless they repent and come to Jesus Christ.

  • @bulletinman true true but as long as my man Randy is in heaven I'll be okay

  • @bulletinman

    No.

  • Not actually my all-time favorite but DEFINITELY among them! :D

  • There is no doubt that this is the greatest metal song of all time. The words and Randy's guitar are SO powerful.

  • wow man. this version is so cool. I'm 19 yrs old and have only heard Zakk Wylde's version of this song. thanks for posting.

  • @649alex I ache for you brother that you did not even get to see the Jake years as well ,which apart and just under from the blizzard of ozz was ozzys finest line up

  • Best ozzy song ever... Betcha can't play this on guitar!

  • @p0rkjell0 betcha i can ! \m/ \m/

  • The greatest metal song mankind has ever xperienced!!

  • randy was like something out of this world...

  • solo sounds almost exactly like a sped up version of mr crowley. bith awesome songs though :)

  • Long live the real fuckin KING... OZZY RULES!!!!!

  • haha anyone notice that the harmonics on the guitar at the very first is the vocal melody to the yell part in stillborn by BLS, and i know this was out long before stillborn so no need to tell me lol. but just thought it was kinda funny.

  • i am so tired of reading coments like " I am now 42 years old and.." , " I have 47 kids & i still listen to black sabbath..." OK BABE

  • I honestly did not know that about the CD's... dang it. Now I want to try and hunt down the old versions...

  • this version is a lot better

  • spot on bro

  • Fan of bob daisley's work? then check out my page

  • The intro makes me think about an asylum for some reason, but this song is awsome, Randy died yesterday 28 years ago :( god bless him.

    R.I.P. Randall William Rhoads

  • I'm 15 and I never actually had an original copy of this, but now that I hear it I know how crap the new bass and drum parts are...

  • after listening to the tribute album about a million times i cant even listen to the studio cut. that live version is just so much more badass.

  • why does the solo sound too much like mr crowley??????

  • The first lick is similar.

  • cause randy rhoads is allowed to do that. he was just that awesome! haha

  • I HATE Randy's studio tone!!! His live tone is so epic, why'd he use this crappy tone?

  • that intro is epic

  • The live intro off Tribute is way more epic-i-er

  • yes the whole song is really

actually every Randy Rhoads song is on Tribute

  • Love the original drums way better.

  • this was my first concert 1980 dec 31 at la sports arena FUCK I was 11years old Randy WOW what a fuckin SHOW the castle background TYRANT JPBOYS

  • @SINAFTERSIN666 .....This was my first metal show too. I was sixteen at the time. My best friend asked me to go because his buddy got sick with the measles and I was the only one with a car. I hated Rock at the time! I was completely blown away by the castle and how Ozzy came in through the chair! Do you remember the chair sequence? Been a Metal head ever since! RR

  • I was at the same show! I was sixteen at the time. My best friend asked me to go because I had the car. His partner ended up with the measles. So I got the ticket. I rock at the time, but after seeing the show; especially the castle and the chair sequence. Do you remember that?

  • beast of a song, beast of an album.

  • man, your info and style is EPIC.well done

  • this version rules the re-recored version sucks!

  • even those this bass riff is probably the easiest one in history, its still the most badassed one in history

  • nothing can describe this song but EPIC

  • Another master-mix of a masterpiece few remember....

  • a masterpiece

  • Robert Trujillo's bass riffs on the re-remasters freakin' blows !!!!

  • i prefer trujillos bass style but i respect your opinion, i allways stick by trujillos style for some reason :P

  • BOB DAISLEY IS THE MAN!!!! nothing against rudy sarzo but he can't hold his jock strap, to this day I cannot listen to tribute because bob and lee are not performing, can't do it, won't do it!!

  • On the contrary, Rudy and Tommy did their best to try and cover for Bob and Lee. You have to admit, they did a hell of a better job than Trujillo and the other drummer.

  • Quite true, but this isn't Rudy and Tommy. They were credited, but this is actually Bob and Lee. Ozzy is notorious for giving inaccurate credits on records.

  • you a douche for that...tribute is badass

  • Damn I love this song!! Probably my fave Ozzy song, come to think of it :)

The only studio version that should exist - I still am not over the re-recording - blasphemy!!! >:(

  • Who knows what's next, maybe Sharon might get of Randy's playing and replace it with Zakk's and get rid of the original version. Never know what she's up to next. I can't believe I sat on front of her with Ozzy at a movie theatre in LA. What a stupid woman.

  • Bob Daisly and Lee Kerslake , both ex of Uriah Heep and amazing musicians

....fuck, i'm getting soooo old :P

  • Much appreciated...just listened to the bad version, and wondered what the hell was up....here I never knew. What a cunt!

Luckily, I have this on cassette still, copied off LP:) I better back it up somehow, quick!

  • f you sharon osbourne u only changes the drums and bass so u dont have to pay raoyaties anymore , but youll make money of randy ,, you are a muny grubbing scumbag

  • Thanx for the tip Blizzard...Only thing i havent found or seen the originals in quite some time. But since u 4 warned me i wont purchase until i do. Thanx again man

  • thnks man

  • that riff is sinister. the re-recordings are rape. this is win , good to have it up here

  • My kids can tell the difference too. My daughter bought the re-master "she is 17" and didn't know. The first thing she said, whats wrong with the drums and bass? It sounds wrong LOL.

  • hahahaha, yeah you can definitely hear a problem with the 2002 versions without being familiar with the originals!

  • lol

  • i wasnt sure if i had the 1995 release but after watching these i know i do and then i listened to the 2002, the 2002 sucks.

  • Rob Trujilo did the bass work on the re-record.

    (Yes, Metallica's Trujilo.)

  • Thanks for bringing this to peoples attention, Daisley and Kerslake got screwed and you're right the originals are the ONLY ones worth listening to. I wish they did the American tour with RR. I saw OZZY twice with RR, Sarzo and Aldridge. Not bad but still not on par with Daisley and Kerslake.

  • yeah but man....yo saw Randy in concert! That's an experience!

  • Yes it certainly was. Back then it was one of the first concerts of the North American tour(Orpheum Theatre Boston,MA) and most people didn't know of the replacements until they came out on stage. Both concerts that I saw with RR were incredible anyway though. RR is the best guitarist I ever seen and I've seen almost all of them.

  • @blizzarddiaryozzy do you know where i can get the original cds. all i see in stores is the 02 remaster and when i look online i see the 02 remaster as well. where did u get ur copy?

  • @stoptherobot I don't know about all that man rudy and tommy are tremendous players obviously this version is better than the re masters but rudy and tommy aren't really to blame for the shitty re masters

  • @stoptherobot i think randy and ozzy sarzo and aldridge was the band of legends the best line up in ozzy history

  • @stoptherobot Is it only on LP and tape or is there CD of them?

  • @stoptherobot Someone with common sense. If you listen to the way Rudy played the songs he did not play some of them right.

  • Thanks for posting this on youtube! My dad definatly does not like the 2002 rerelease. So that is why he never bought them. Thank god that he has the original copies from 1980!

  • Randy was difinitely one of the best if not the best behind jimi. What a solo randy at his best.

  • I don't know why every one says Jimi is so great. Yes he was an innovator and very talented but people like Randy could play his fingers off. But that's the age old debate right? It's all a mater of opinion and in my belief there is no such thing as a single greatest guitarist, just who you like more.

  • gracias por el consejo

    (thanks for the advise)

  • THANKS FOR TAKIN' THE TIME.

  • Randy Rhoads FOREVER baby!
