No i think someone who is Badass isn't automatically GAR. Being GAR is not only about how much ass you can kick but it's also about the reason you do that and about the odds you are willing to face. Archer for example stood against an overwhelming opponent (Berserker) to allow his Master to escape, and yet he went all out, in order not only to buy time, but to kill Berserker. Even when he realized he had no chance, he smiled in the face of death and tryed to take him down as often as he could.

If Archer as a true servant with more experience has a more powerful NP, imagine how ungodly powerful Lancer's full might is, he is a beast in every way.

There are 2 versions to the Unlimited Blade Works chant. Basically, the verses said put the caster into a trance and allows them to cast whatever spell, in this case UBW. The lines said vary depending on which version of "Archer" we are talking about, one that believes in his ideals still or one that has abandoned them.

He is Hercules after all, who is a demigod. Plus there is the MAD Enhancement of the Berserker class, trading sanity for physical power, increasing his already demigod strength and endurance...

And it was Rank B attacks that God Hand protected him from, not Rank A. It also reduced the effectiveness of an attack by around a rank if used on him several times.

I agree with you. Also, I believe his magic resistance wasn't very impressive either. I think that Berserker is one of the strongest, because of the master. Illya's abundant mana supply probably helped to buff his ability. If you read fate/zero, the owner of the Berserker cannot handle the mana consumption of his servant. Berserker seems to be the most mana consuming servant afterall.

Well, the berserker class was created to buff up weaker servants... so it wasn't originally a class. But buffing up an already powerful servant (who uses more prana) was done instead, which is somewhat unfair.

Berserkers are the most "powerful" as far as endurance and strength, but not in other places. Herakles was already extremely powerful and not so smart, so the MAD enhancement (which was immediately activated for him) made him monstrous and pretty much unable to function as a human.

A consistent trait in Shirou's ability when he fires up his magic circuit is that his perception of time slows (practically to the point of time freeze) and his thought process goes extremely fast, so his entire poem can really be completed in less than a split second which explains why he's able to pull off Rho Aias so fast. As it was mentioned, it just seems slow for dramatic purposes.

No, this is different, this is shirou's thought progress that goes so fast, to the point of masking the moment as eternity (litterally taken, see novel). It all happens in shirou's head. It has nothing to do with divine language, which uses magic 'without' magic cirquit activation. Caster still uses time to mumble the single words of the devine language, for shirou it's instantly. (there is still a lot of difference between instant and a split second)

Note the actual spells in F/SN actually do require some forms of chanting and invocation, or at least "magic words". (Caster's high-speed casting ability let her skirt this restriction for her otherwise powerful magic) Something as ham-slammingly powerful as a reality marble requires a LOT. I have no idea why he takes his sweet time with it though. Maybe it's a necessary part of the invocation.

Yeah, but Archer split off from Shiro at some point - clearly he's changed the past to some degree, so although Archer may be the future version of *A* Shiro, it's not the same one covered in F/SN (otherwise he would have used Caliburn on Berserker in the Fate path, and taken more of his lives). Who knows, maybe his time-traveling accomplishes his goal in all the paths.

Plus, it's just much more convenient to refer to them as different people.

i wonder....why did he decide to go time traveling....what was the purpose in all of that? i know he wanted to change what he did but.....he couldn't have found another way? why not fight in the grailwars again and just make the wish to change the past? it's kind of weird way to go when you think about it you know?

and on a side note....what would you actually call archer......whats his name as an epic spirit? did he change his name? did he keep it shiro? and why did he choose archer as his class? or is that determined by you're abilities when you were human...so many questions they dont answer that i want them to answer....T.T

He is just know as the heroic spirit Emiya, also one cannot chose his own class, the Grail determines it, he was summoned as Archer because one of his main attacks is to project other hero's Noble Phantasms ant then shoot them with his bow.

i woulda guessed that shiros class would be saber seeing as he may have the ability to THROW their noble phantasims at them but he can also weild them with his hands. hence archers stubborness at holding his two blades and fighting close combat. and his unlimited blade works...you would think with all that he woulda been saber class...meh what can you do

Rin would be Caster.

Archer isn't nearly good enough to be a saber-class servant. He goes melee against Saber and gets stomped. One of the traits of the Archer class is substandard stats, and making up for that with skills.

And Archer knows the Grail can't change the past. Not the way he wants it to. Angra Mainyu sees to that.

No he didn't say that. But Rin and Shirou found something out and clearly said in the game(UBW route and Fate Route).Shirou to Saber: "Archer defence is out of the world yet he didn't block your attack." Rin: "You recognize her don't you? That's why you didn't block her attack."
