Actually, i get the pleasure of playing Curly in our community theaters production of Oklahoma coming up in October, and I must say...i'm happy we're taking the tempo a little slower. it just seems that if you take that fast of a tempo alot of the emotion and message gets lost. very nice voices though, rather impressive. thanks for posting :)

Thanks for posting. I have noticed that the modern versions of the classic musicals seem to hurry through these beautiful songs as it the audience will fall asleep or something. Very sad. The true pace of this song is seen on the Oklahoma movie staring Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones. It starts off sooting and has romance in it. This version way too fast to keep up with. Nice posting though and thanks for adding it.
Actually it is a community theatre group that has only been together for 2 years now. Next year we are applying for some grants because I think now we are an official theatre group or something.
I actually really enjoyed this. I went to see a production last week which was amazing and have sorta become obsessed with oklahoma now!!
I know it was nearly 3 years ago but i hope it went well. I have always wanted to join a drama group of some sort but have never had the guts!!!

not a lot of emotion. Arne't you excited about how amazing this surrey is? Think, Tim Allen talking about a car.

It's quite enjoyable, one of the better versions of this song I've heard on YouTube. =)
