  • hmm i thought you have to do high reps for lower body? like 12-20, instead of the normal 6-12 for upper body, and iam talking about bodybuilding.

  • what a small package on such a huge guy lol

  • @baruh443 U gay?

  • i wish i had that guys calfs thats doin the calf raises holy fuck

  • at 0:56 very very bad technique. u will destroy your knees

  • @coltakias1 squats are the best idiot..

  • @gypsyqueenmaya i said:bad techinque,NOT bad exercise....stupid idiot! i am personal trainer 10 years now.what's your job?

  • the guy doing the lunges has such skinny legs for his body size its kinda funny how small they are.haha

  • @IonicHD I noticed that too hahah.

  • You forgot you mention the steroids ;)

  • @DilkingtonsDiary Take your jealous bs somewhere else weirdo.

  • @gypsyqueenmaya not at all jealous lol.....

  • thnks brother...i'll use this.. :)

  • I work out at home and I do exercises with my weights for powerful legs but I only do squats and calf-exercises. That's all that I need. But this video is really helpful! Thanks for posting this!

  • @blacknessboy666

Same here but I sometimes use heavy resistant bands for squats and a weighted vest as well as dumbbells. I can't even think of a single reason to bother to go to a gym so far.

  • @voianhemsed Well, if you have weights at home you don't need to go to a gym.

  • i ahit on you ,your whore mother and this music

  • @TheSUBGAMER learn to spell, just comes to show who actually is a whore.

  • @FarmBoizNigga lol so you think whore=someone who cant spell

    lol what a retard

  • why deos everything have to be with weights this sucks

  • Comment removed

  • That's how you destroy your lower back on a squat. Notice how his knees pass his feet and how his heels raise off of the ground. All of your weight should be on the heel in a squat, it should NEVER lift off the ground.

  • did you have to put the roid users in there??

  • 1:33 copyright

  • those are some ugly legs

  • Mr T??

  • dwayne johnson's brother

  • TREE TRUNKS!!!

  • Great routine but the calf press at the end was a bit of a downer. I add leg curl and leg extension to get a bigger pop.

  • guy doing Lunges looks stupid!! big upper body and 2 stalks for legs

  • This video is lightweight homo...

  • can we talk about those shorts?

  • For fux sake this guy is only making a SUGGESTION and its a good workout..we dont get to see the bodies of the idiots leaving stupid comments..and..i dont believe ANY 16 year old kid is doing heavier than this guy...plus hes FIT!!!

  • If I solely front squat once a wk, can I get away with never back squatting. The reason I avoid back squat is because I tore my left acl playing football a yr and half ago. Front squats feel better. Thanks. This vid was sick.

  • @Squan78 they pretty much work the same muscles so you're good.

  • @Squan78 no instead of front squats do walking lunges. front squats work mainly on your quads, back squats hit the glutes, hamstrings and quadriceps!

  • @keenynman34 Thanks I already do barbell lunges but never walking. I will try it w/ no weight in order to improve my balance. Have a good night.

  • WILL THIS IMPROVE VERTICAL

  • @maxkila Probably not. This is a mass-building exercise program. You might see a small increase, but this program is not designed for vertical improvement.

  • @maxkila squatting heavy has been proven as one of if not the best excercises for improving vertical leap.

  • True fitness it aerobic endurance, debate amongst yourselves but the truth is these legs could'nt run a mile in 6 minutes

  • @Rogerio34567 "True Fitness" is a subjective view. Being able to run doesn't mean you're in shape, or strong, or even healthy. The best "athletes" in the world are Decathaletes. They combine everything, but probably can't run a 6 minute mile.

  • @Rogerio34567 marathoners have emaciated frames compared to sprinters. the human body is designed to exert energy in short powerful bursts and this is something which is equally as important as aerobic endurance.

  • @fatalityhawk Agreed. Plus who the hell wants to run for miles anyways? lmao.

  • @Rogerio34567 true fitness incorporates strength, endurance and flexibility. However, some people are genetically built more for strenght training (i.e. mesomorphs) so they are more advanced at that particular aspect of fitness while others (ectomorphs) are built more for running. Those legs couldn't run a mile in 6 minutes but then again a runner couldn't do the reps that this man could. Both of these individuals would be considered in great shape.

  • @Rogerio34567 truth is those legs could kick you and send you a mile away in less than 6 minutes.

sorry just had to say it:P

  • @Rogerio34567 True physical fitness is a balance of all 7 components of physical fitness, aerobic endurance, muscular endurance, strength, speed, flexibility, power and body composition.

You my friend, are an idiot!

  • @Rogerio34567 lol a mile in 6 minutes is nothing lol football players can do it

  • @Rogerio34567 true im 14 but i do this 4 times weekly and i have improved in my running times by 3 min a mile, and i can 1 rep 565

  • So r u doing 10 sets in total then?

  • i pitty the fool

  • yeah oldschool rulez

  • LOL LEG PRESS! HAHA NEXT VIDEO

  • I want strong legs for jumping, not for looking strong. xD

  • Half squats are shit!

  • this guy wasn't even doing a full leg press.. he was pushing it half way.

  • WoW, Thanks. I'am gonna try... and my recipe is effective body !! Check my channel !

  • is this video from the 90's?

  • john daily has good form for calfs

  • Just a question, what if you have bad knees, what alternatives are there? Squats are bit tricky for me, because my knees are pretty buggered.

  • @PIECE2YOURMOTHA usually going below 90 degrees when going down takes pressure off the knees, but if thats still a problem then a safer option is to do the leg press machine at the gym or switch to lunges or stepups instead

  • @fatalityhawk i have lousy knees myself; when i go below 90 degrees i get intense pain. im still looking for a good at home leg work out.

i put a bag of bricks on my back for weight and try to do split squats/one leg fwd /one leg back squats

  • Looks like your standard issue gym mohawk guy.

  • Mr. T??

  • wonder why that first guy had a fuzzy black caterpillar crawling over his head

  • Roids

  • I have a question about squats! Are you suppose to keep your legs wide or close!? I stayed away from from doing them because I don't wonna damage any thing by doing it wrong!

  • @IcemanCyclops80 your feet should be in a v shape and should be slightly more than shoulder width apart

  • @fatalityhawk Please explain to me why does the guy in this video have his legs pretty close together. I find it to work my legs more when they are closer together than when they are at shoulder width. Alot of ppl say shoulder width but to me the closer the more pump i get in my thighs.

Also I was curious if it is better to do squats barefoot than wear sneakers?

  • @ARMYRYAN48 yeah sorry bout that, dont squat with legs close together unless youre isolating your quads, which could only benefit an advabced bodybuilder and not an average person training for fitness and definition. your thighs feel more pumped when the legs are closer together because the load is put onto them

from experience it doesnt make much difference what footwear you use when you squat or none at all.

  • @IcemanCyclops80 I've always heard you can do them either way. Wide stance, or sumo stance, puts more emphasis on the hips (and glutes too). While narrower stance is more quads and hamstrings. Remember, with squats go ass to the grass. The deeper you go the better you'll work those legs. And get a firm ass. Chicks love a toned ass.

  • @IcemanCyclops80 depending on what feels comfortable with you, all though you should do a variety with feet wide facing outward, legs shoulder width apart and feet straight and legs closer again with feet straight also make sure you always be leaning back on your heels not have the weight falling forwards to your toes and your heel lifting off the ground

  • 1:48 women legs

  • That was poor squat form.

  • dont that dude look twice as beast cuz of his mohoak lol

  • I know this may sound stupid and may have been asked countless of times... Does squatting heavy weights Stunt your growth? (say 8/10 of your own weight) I'm starting to worry.. I started squats half a year ago and uptil now i've only grown 2cm. I'm 14 and 175 cm currently..

Can any one advise me what to do?

  • @BkkCheesepie 14 is a bit too young to start squatting heavy. You should lay off the HEAVY squats for atleast a year and try excercises such as bar hangs to counteract spinal compression from the squats as this is a stage when your bones are still growing. You can still continue to work your legs using bulgarian splits squats and lunges with lesser weight. If you do decide to keep squatting then be sure to do sets of bar hangs after your squat sets to offset the spinal decompression.

  • @fatalityhawk Thank you bro, How long should i hang usually? for every 10 squats I'd hang for a minute?? I just roughly need a rule of thumb, sorry to bother you...

  • @BkkCheesepie It's alright, hang for as long as you can hold it and do 3-4 sets atleast at the end of your workout. this also helps to stretch out the muscles of your back, and your chest too if you take a wider grip.

  • @fatalityhawk Thanks for the Fast reply bro.. Will do this routine tomorrow (when i'm hitting the legs)

  • @BkkCheesepie i'm sorry if i budge in here but.

14 years old and 175 cm. Its really not weird that you have grown 2 cm in half a year. you might have just had your growth spurt. and so you are currently in a resting phase. you should go to a docter or any other health supervisor to see how long you will be. But don't think your growth suddenly stopped. i'm 17 and i had a growth spurt some time ago wich got me to 183 cm. And i'm still growing, it might go slow but it goes on.

    Gl with training

  • @BkkCheesepie stunt in your growth will not happen- that whole idea of stunting growth came into play during the times where children were working manual labor all types of crazy hours. Lift 3- 4 days a week and eat right. and please get your sleep. If anyone wants to challenge this answer deal with the Department of Health and Human Services.

  • when does it say the put the ROIDS in

  • How about showing normal natural bodies, these roided guys are unrealistic looking/weight

  • shorts that loud could bring down Jericho! looks like this would suck (sarcastically)! haha. great routine.

  • This song sounds like a Rainbow Road remix of Mario Kart.

  • can this work out get me faster?

  • @LinebackerUSC doubt it if its putting on mass and weight..

  • jthose lunges are ridiculous. should do full range of motion and step back with every lunge to neutral position then uother leg

  • its sad to say im in high school and can leg press more weight than a body builder and thats what they do for a living

  • @beastinn999991111 Don't you know that bodybuilders focus on sculpting their body, i.e it doesn't matter how much they lift as long as their body is as fit as possible. Now i want to see you lift more than a powerlifter.

  • Good vid, could you tell me which of these exercises work the hamstrings the most?

  • does not masturbation give a tight Gluteus? thats what my sexologist told me!

  • @IbnNero lol punch him in his face then :P

  • this workout is great for bodybuilders.... not so much great for sports and such... im assuming you got this out of a muscle magazine?

  • @pongo713 came up with it myself, but yes it does follow a similar format and it is meant mainly to pack on mass and strength

  • @pongo713 what are u talking about? squats and lunges are like some of the leg excercises for football

  • @matt517472 yea... some of them.. mainly squats and front squats.. but they focus on lots of plyos... and then olympic lifts like cleans.. snatchs.. and then variations of them. but what i was trying to get is if you only did that with your leg workout you wouldnt develop a lot of power... thanks though

  • @pongo713 ik what u mean stuff like leg press is pretty garbage for football. personnally i do squats and front squats, deepp squats, lunges, then all the olympic lifts that require explosion. last i usually do leg extensions and leg curls not rly for power but strenth and just more size they are a good finisher u know? somtimes i even throw in tornado ball training for intense core work at the end

  • Fuck's sake, what kind of snake-oil are you pedalling in that link?

    Poor workout plan too.

  • bad form for squats

  • I have a question.

In the video it said that squats are the best overall workout for legs and that's what most trainers say too. So does that mean it's not necessary to use leg press?

I don't have a gym membership but have about 150kg dumbell/barbell set at home, how can I work on my legs effectively? Or do I need to go to the gym to get the best results for legs like; squats and leg press.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @TheHazcam yeah squats are really theonly leg excercise you need. excercises like leg press are accessories to squats, not substitutes. that being said, leg press can help to isolate the quads but squats by themselves are still very effective. honestly, you dont really need a gym membership when you got enough kit to work all your body parts at home

  • @fatalityhawk Thanks for the reply bro. The only thing is, with 150kg of weight plates and a barbell, I don't have any way to squat large weights. ie; a squat frame to hold the bar. So im not quite sure how to work around that dilemma as it's hard to lift the weight from the ground up to my shoulders without straining my back...

  • @TheHazcam ah yeah, cant really help you there man, squatting huge weights without a rack is pretty dangerous, on the plus side you should still be able to get a decent workout from squatting lighter weights for more reps and deadlifting heavy.

  • @TheHazcam Yeah do some light squats, normal deadlifts, and some sumo deadlifts

  • @TheHazcam

The best thing is to improvise.

Try using whatever objects at home to act like a rack, but always make sure safety is on top of your mind.

  • love the music... sounds like 80's porn music. Ah, the memories of my youth.

  • @varvie52 Not p@rn music, it's like water-skiing music.

  • @varvie52 HAHAHA

  • hey i have soccer commin up in the fall and i need to get faster and i cant go to the gym

  • @joshthompson200 buy some dumbells (pref heavy ones) and perform supersets of squats and lunges at home. will do you good

  • you don't to do warm up sets if you do a quick 3 to 5 minute pre workout warm up on a cardio machine.

  • @denniandrew2002 you do. try going straight into a 100 kg squat without doing a light set first and see how sore you will be the next day.

  • @fatalityhawk I never do a warm up. That's why I do a 3 -5 min warm up on a cario machine. You're always going to be alittle sore as long as you are progressing.

  • @fatalityhawk um dude im 16 and thts not even my warm up....i warm up wit 250 lbs and do super sets.....

  • @20rattlers12 hmm interesting. and i bet your shit smells like flowers as well.

  • @fatalityhawk hahaha, Hey i squat 60lbs, its all i have tho, And im just begining

  • @killer66667 I can do 1 sqaut with 200 lbs but if I am actually exercising I lift 60 lbs or something like that... I am 13, 6.1 feet and 180 lbs(75 kg, it may mean 160 lbs not sure) and I am in the school rugby team. Any suggestions for me? I am the loosehead prop.

  • @egeseatr35 If you are going to be propping legs, core and shoulder are key strength areas. Deadlift is the ultimate Rugby Lift followed closely by squat, military and bench. Lift heavy with low reps

  • @jwhbigred Thanks for suggestion :)

  • how old is dis shit

  • HOW OLD IS THIS VIDEO!

  • hey im a pretty slow runner and i need to know if theese workouts will make you faster?

  • @koberocks5ring they will make you more expolosive. if you really want to improve your running though you gotta actually practice running to boost endurance and speed

  • @2:31 is that jay cutler?

  • @shylildude no, its another bodybuilder from the 80s/90s although i can deffs see the resembelance lol

  • Top points for Body Count! And great song.

  • strength does not necessarily translate to endurance although it helps like running

    marathons

  • @oakesy91 haha ikr i do the same thing all the time i was just saying to check the description because i do the same thing all the time and people say it to me

  • eh, his thighs are about as big as my arms

  • @deathdevil1130 U must have quite Big Arms then.

  • painful looking squats. Drive through the heels, not the toes.

  • weight lifting is too hard for me why would you put yourself through this i get tired just watching it cause im 27 i live with my mom spend all day on the computer and have no balls

  • damn it's so ugly to not look like a retarded wanker bookworm lol, i'm glad they invented aids and all the hepatitis around

  • BODYCOUNT!!

  • hip bridge looks gay!

  • Check out my biceps guys. I need someone to tell me what I need to work on. Thank you so much

  • you need to work on biceps pretty much lol

  • ya u just basically suck

  • 2-3 min rest between sets is too long. i start loosing the pump after that long! the shorter the rest period the higher GH levels are post workout! rest 1 min is great, rest 30 sec GH levels will be 50% higher than 1 min rest!!!!! Proven by studies! plus it adds a crazy intensity to workouts

  • @Griz675 true but i find personally that for compound movements like squat and bench 2-3 mins is ideal because it lets you use much more weight and fully hit the muscle without losing too much pump. some pros take upto ten minutes rest but i wouldnt reccomend that.

  • To each his own... personally i rest a maximum of 1:30mins for compound moves (personal pref), but for variety and a shock for the muscle short rests are a good way to promote hypertrophy and increased GH. Not disagreeing with u, i totally agree i do the same thing, but instead of using heavy weight to overload the muscle some times i use pure intensity of a 30sec rest. Same result different approach.

All in all u have a solid training program, keep up the good work!

  • @Griz675 agreed and thanks

  • What is this song called? :P

  • Help please, can someone help me please, is there workouts to put on mass with dumbbells?

  • split squats/bulgarian squats are great for that

  • wonders why everybody is always putting shitty music in their videos :S

  • he wasnt even doing the squats right

  • agree

if you keep doing your squats like this, you will ruin your knees

  • @Justus6890 tru, not that i do squats this way, but body builders do because it builds up your thigh muscle a lot more than it would with a wider stance. they lift for the look, not for the functionality of the movement

  • agreed - will the fuck his knees.......probably won't feel it with all the roids

  • what isnt he doing correctly? i used to have bad knees but i want to slowly start doing squats.

  • everything looks good to me I might actually start using lunges/hip bridge. Looks like a good leg routine. just start with light weight and wrap your knees.

  • is the crotch shot at 1min 12secs an important aspect to this routine?

  • very.

  • @Tommymid hahahahaha.. i wouldnt have been able to understand this routine without the crotch shot

  • @Tommymid

if you're a faggot it might give you motivation.

and this song ROCKS!!! who doesn't like it?

  • i dont

  • HAHAHA...chicken legs in white shorts...LOL...he looked like a jailhouse bodybuilder...all upper body

  • thank you sir

  • holy 80's batman.....

  • hi guys i have a good upper body and good thigh but ive got skiny calves i do alot of running hill running as well but they are still skinny and look funny any idea how can i make muscel on them its just thin its got muscel but i want it to be a littl bit more muscly any ideas brothrs?thank you.

  • Low reps with a heavy weight for bulking and high reps with low weights for cutting. This is the general principle of muscle gain. It depends on each person but generally holds true.

  • i feel gay for watching this

  • you will be even gayer if you don't get your ass up and train lol

  • @dbreezy57 I think it's because you are gay. man luster hahaha

  • @dbreezy57

lol .. u madde me fucken laugh and da other guy also made me laugh.. hahahahhaa
