  • I have the Sig 556, and looking to buy another. I have been thinking of the FN seeing I'm a fan of FN and own a few of their hand guns. However like the Sig their parts are not as easy to get as the Stag, and other AR formats. Do you feel its worth it and what parts are their downfall so I can order spares .

    Bz

  • @buzzsah -- The "Euro" Rifles are great for reliability but you are correct, parts are not easy to get and almost impossible to buy spare goods for the Sig or FN. I figured with time, spare parts would be available but expect to pay if this is a possibility. Better off with a LMT Piston AR or one of the other top tier rifles.

  • for a great lookin upgrade for the 16s, get adco to cut to 14.5 and pin and weld the aac 51 tooth spr/m4 mount, its just what the military ordered and cuts down on the civilian look of it.,best upgrade you can do for 150 imho

  • @MultiSr16 -- Thanks for the info. I would agree on that upgrade. Low cost for a great effect.

  • @HarrisTactical yea, cause in all honesty, its hard to upgrade an already perfect rifle.. and the 17s, get real, thats like the best most complete no frillz battle rifle to come to the US in 50 yrs.., its flawless., im a AR guy from a good 10 yrs ago, an always will be., ex- army, oif vet too., and i can't take away from what FN has brought to market., its the most lethal m-fing piece of hardware every released....

  • @MultiSr16 -- Hooooah! Good copy on that! 82nd Airborne Division Vet. here as well. I still have my AR's but it's a real pleasure shooting this advancement in Battle Rifle technology. I believe the Military will move forward on this type of platform (SCAR, ACR etc.) from the Year 2012-2014 out. Reliability is amazing. You and I can appreciate that. We dealt with hot, dusty, carbon fouled Gas Impingement systems in our past. Check us out at HarrisTacticalOnlinedotcom for some goodies.

  • @HarrisTactical yea ill def check the website., jus subbed your channel, check me out , i got some funny ass vids and lots of guns gear reviews and stuff., hoooah brother., keep that powder dry/.. were prob gonna need it

  • Thanks for approving the video. I know you run EMAGs and I've not bought any yet because I have a stash of PMAGs. Do you know if they have the same issue with the bolt hold? Thanks again.

  • @Sturmgewehre -- I haven't run the Emags. I personally think they look ugly and cost more than regular PMags, so I haven't bought or run them. They only come in black as well. My choice for the SCAR has been the Tango Down ARC mags and soon to be my favorite, the Translucents when they arrive here soon. We sell these as well. Wwe received a few from TD and they are awesome. I will test these.

Good catch on the Pmag potentially causing damage to the bolt. That would be a horrible disaster.

  • @Sturmgewehre EMAGs do have the same problem. I had to modify mine as you did to keep the bolt hold from sticking up.

  • Very, Very good information! Thanks Sturm! Now I will check all of the Gen 3 PMags and other mags to see if this happens.

  • That barrel on that scar is retarded long. Should go alot shorter looks stupid and is no good for cqb or home defense too long

  • @scripps88 -- That's the lightweight "Pencil Barrel." It does look slim and long but probably due to the shorter forend. The 16" barrel is not too long, just an optical illusion.

I would not recommend the 5.56 for home defense unless you have brick walls and no children or other people in the house. 12-Gauge for HD. Just my opinion.

  • @HarrisTactical and for those who live in town like me. nothin pisses off a neighbor like 5.56 rounds going through your wall into their bedroom. my HD weapon is the mossberg 500 A.

  • @TheRiggenbach -- Amen!

  • @HarrisTactical (cont.) easier to hit with, but you've also got 30 rounds in a quick to reload, light recoiling gun. I certainly wouldn't use M855, but fragmenting 5.56 rounds, especially the lighter stuff, is about as safe as it gets for home defense weapons that will actually stop a determined threat.

  • @scripps88 its still 16" long barrel idiot, same as "ar-15" m4.

  • nice choice on optic., thats def my choice for BLOCK 2
