Yep heard today the tragic news that Derek B aka Eazy Q died from a heart attack at the age of 44. Derek was one of the reasons i started up this little channel as i never saw or heard any of that old school hip hop on the internet, so thought i would feature some on here- lo fi style, raw and straight off the vinyl! Hopefully the new heads will stop by and take 5 and think 'actually that early daze hip hop was alright'....but for now Derek B bad young brother R.I.P
I saw Derek walking up Regent Street about 4 years ago, wearing a blue suit. I asked him if he used to be a singer. He said, yes, but from a long time ago! I knew
which track was the one that had "standing in the front line its easy q" and "step off ******* london here, easy q making it loud and clear" easy and derek were probably the best from the uk back in the 80's
this was one of the 1st 12' records i bought. i know it word 4 word. its taken me ages track this down. took me back a few yrs. love it! cheers 4 postin it.
