when i was 6 i came across this scene and had no idea what it was. i then, 4 years later, watched the movie and found that this was indeed the death of boromir.
Of course Legolas cares. Look at his face! He very much is into the "Fellowship", He heard the horn of Gondor, and went running. Close to the book. I would suggest that anyone that comments read the books. And, remember, movies are different. I have the series, and have watched all the movies. A lot is left out, and things are not what is in the books, but to put Tolkien on screen is in no way easy. Read the books first. Jackson did an amazing job, it's an epic for all time!!
@MsShoosh1 in the book says that aragorn, legolas and gimli found boromir dead with a lot of dead orcs lying before him.peter jackson added the battle scenes
@werewolf3335 yea in the book it says elves only can die in battle never of old age...and since elves didnt do much battling on the same terms as their enemies, particularly the woodland elves (eg fight on the ground-wood elves fight in the trees) he probably hasnt seen many deaths of friends before so is more curious than uncaring
@Zombine117 legolas is the prince of the woodland elves he has allot more strengh then a usual woodland elf i remember in the book from when legolas is talking to elrond in rivendale and says to legolas i have chosen you to come and you have answered my call you need to fight and help send the ring to mordor. then our peole can rest off these shores. And legolas does care in the book again in the two towers legolas was in tears over boromirs death

@Zombine117 Wasn't he from Mirkwood? I'll think he has seen battle since Dol Guldor is over there.
