  • what kind of HP gain did you actually get out of this????

  • @TheREVOLUTION22

Not sure exactly since w did all the mods at once but the throttle response is amazing.

  • Hey man i know alot of people that are wanting to do this now including me lol. I have some questions what did you do different with the wiring? Also can you use your OEM intake manifold? You should take some pics or make a little DIY there is a lot of people on SL that are wanting to try this mod.

  • @stupiddarkness

Only thing that was switched with the wirig were the white and black wires BUT I may have switched them previously and forgot when we were diagnosing the original throttle problems because I depinned them. This car has a completely stock intake manifold. All I did was port match the two sides of the plate(a 4x4x1 piece of aluminum) and used a drill press to make the bolt patterns.

  • hey man, ive been following your build a little bit and am curious. What are your pushing? im torn between building all motor which everyone is telling me cost to much for the horsepower, but you will have a better consistant power curve. did you move your redline?are you planning to? what ecu? might just turbo but i would rather piss ppl off and tell em its stock

  • did you have to get a new gasket i assume and did you just drill the 4 screw holes and the center hole. the center hole had to match the rx8 throttle body? and how did you do the wiring harness differently? This sounds interesting and i've been looking to get a tb

  • i dont know if someone mentioned it yet but i was curious is it a straight mount or do you need some sort of modding to put the rx8 tb on the stock manifold??

  • @rgarrick06

You have to make an adapter. I made mine from a $33 dollar piece of 4x4x1 6061 aluminum with a drill press and a stone grinder/buffer. Took about an hour to make it. Got to hardware to mount it at home depot and it's holding up great.

  • @Pro60modman

do you think i could purchase a rx8 throttle body spacer then just put the rx8 throttle body onto that and mount that to my intake manifold??

  • @rgarrick06

The throttle body on the RX8 is much wder. So much so that I doubt there would be enough material on the spacer plate to drill the Scion TC pattern into it on the other side.

  • nice 5*****

  • whats the stock size of a TC throttle body?? I know the RX is 78-80mm

  • @Thegatomaverick

It's 55mm. With the bigger TB, throttle response is crazy fast and the car loves to suck up lots of nitrous :D.

  • where in the world did you find an RX-8 throttle body? lol

  • @MrLandreth

eBay haha. Bought it sight unseen.

  • Nice work bro...

  • how are her street manners with those high duration cams? lol

  • hey bro what kind of engine management are you running?

  • @MrLandreth

    Stock with an AEM F/IC

  • Awesome man. Yea that is huge. But will the rx8 throttle body fit on the stock intake or did you have to go aftermarket? Beautiful motor btw. That crankcase breather sets it off. lol

  • @MrLandreth

It has a stock intake with a adapter plate I made out of 4x4x1 aluminum. Very easy to make.

  • Whats your whp...if u what to tell me.????

  • @DeeR1ck

Havin even broken it in yet so no numbers yet but believe me there will be a video :D

  • Man thats sick. I have been lokking for a vid of a NA 2az motor forever! So the stock fuel rail and injectors were okay with the stage 3 cams?

  • @MrLandreth

For now yep. The stock injectors are 370cc. They are huge for stock injectors.

  • @MrLandreth Yeah man same here! This is truly the first one that I have seen
