The MP40 was incorrectly nicknamed the "Schmeisser" after an earlier auto sub machine gun years before... MP40 is the correct name, he designed the earlier MP18 and only held a patent on the MP40 :-) Small distinction but the allies were the ones calling it the schmeisser, cool name tho man, id be house proud

No most airsoft guns that come with batterys, the battery is dead, and yes as long the battery is a small type

i didnt like this the spring from the magazine got caught in the gun and screwed it up so i took it back and got an m4 field duty kit which was heaper and about the same power

Why would ya, wouldn't be very genuine would it? Not many Mp40's around with scopes, flashlights, or lazers. I don't think there are any rails for this though. But it would look sick with a scope, lazer and flashlight

Actually, you can get a 90 or 60 round metal mag; and the stock mag that comes with the gun is 55 not 50.

I'm wondering, is the folding stock a little loose on yours?  And does the bottom half of the gun jiggle a little bit even when the release is closed? Mine is a little loose in some places, and the charging handle is really tight and hard to open, and i wonder if i got a defective one. Please respond to this.

The Schmeiser is one of those guns that competes with TM and CA. This gun is alot better. It actually has real schmeiser trademarks too(The same people who made the real thing)!!!

The MP 40 has no "real schmeisser trademarks" beracuse hugo schmeisser has absolutely nothing to do with this gun.

The designer was Heinrich Vollmer, who worked for the Erfurter Mschinenfabrik Geipel (ERMA). Because the huge needs for this gun later Steyr in Austria and Haenel in Suhl (also Thuringia, like Erfurt) took over production. SChmeisser just was the "Prokurist" (some kind of "Managing Director") of Haenel. He held just the patent for the magazine. He was neither constructor nor designer. How the gun came to Schmeissers name is not traceable any more.

I have a problem with mine when I install the battery. After I put the top half back on, it does not stay in place. It wobbles side to side. I don't know what the problem is.

ur little twist button must be twisted, you pull out the button instert ur batterie and dat stuff, thn twist it and it will snap back in place and the thing will hold the gun

The Schmeisser is black and brown, but the AGM full black..and I think the schmeisser is better...

You can get the AGM with bakelite side panels.

MP40's are not made by schmeisser as commonly belived they are made by Erma-Werke of Erfurt, made of steel and plastic, and took a 32-round magazine. Over a million MP 40s were produced.
