seriously, educate yourself on fashion and the runway. t-shirts were once considered low fashion. today, not so much. why? designers put it on the runway and experimented with it, eventually changing its perspective.

this show is a tribute to evisu founder yamane's hobby, fishing. hence the cuffed/cutoff jeans. the hats represent different fisherman's hats from all over the world. the designers are not saying that this is how the clothes should be worn. it's simply a showcase.

those bright coloured blazers will date extreamely quickly. I really don't like the yellow and bright blue colour pallet within the first 3 minutes or so, and the socks with sandals? I can appreciate experimentation but plain white socks aren't meant to be seen, and they'd get really dirty :-O

I really loved the middle section though. It was a good mix of formal (preppy) with boho.

The end was so so too, the shorts were either too long, or too short.

Anyone else agree or do i have odd taste?

The socks with sandals is a callback to geta sandals, traditionally worn with socks. A lot of evisu clothing uses traditional japanese art and this is just the next evolution of that (kinda like zuzu angel). I think what people aren't understanding is that they aren't suggesting you go out and wear it as it is presented. This whole show is for display purposes only.

The short shorts at the end are actually cutoff full-length jeans, I don't believe they'll be sold at that length.
