    Exodus

  • I like the early Metallica and the new, I'm not picky metal, just say you have to enjoy what we have and never fall very low listening to hip-hop or JB, is my opinion :)

  • metallica(even with their new stuff)

    slayer

    megadeth

    testament

  • @moncocks I Agree :)

  • Megadeth

    Kreator

    Testament

    fuck the fourth one

  • Hetfield can't seem to write good riffs anymore.

  • The best art album

  • Slayer

    Exodus

    Testament

  • 1.Leif Garret

    2.Evile

    3.Bring me the Horizon

    4.Whitney Houston

REAL BIG 4 MOTHER FUCKERS, FEEL IT.

  • Thinking...Slayer....Exodus.....Kreator.......Testament

  • HAAAIL TESTAMEEEEEEEEEEEENT lmL

and the rest of you, shut the fuck up xDD

  • Ok I like metallica more than any other metal band but because of the black album and on after that they do not need to be in the big four and Testament is THE BEST replacement. I mean the only two bands I think are better than testament are already there so definitly...And also to whoever the douchebag was on one of these souls of black videos i watched that said souls of black was forgettable YOU SUCK ASS!!!!

  • @Disturbed4Life99 People talk shit on the black album but I know at a time when people were new to it they loved it until it got played out ..stop trying to fit in poser

  • @JayT851 Actually buddy i have every fucking metallica album there is and love everyone i just think that past the black album isn't thrash...So stop talking shit dumbass

  • @Disturbed4Life99 I know its not 100 % thrash but song songs on there could pass as thrash. I know at a time you thought the black album was awesome until you heard others talking about how it sold out then you followed their path so calm down and give it a rest everythings going to be ok just be yourself and dont worry what others think of you so rock that black album!!!

  • @JayT851 I still think it's awsome but not thrash and im not following anyones path this was me stating what i thought, not someone else doing it for me...So stop trying to say that you know why im saying that and accept the statement as an opinion

  • @Disturbed4Life99 Through the never and of wolf and man can pass for thrash.

  • @JayT851 sorry i felt like joining this. i love every song on the black album, but its not thrash. its just not complex enough and a little too catch, plus not as in your face. not as much anger behind most of the songs

  • @Disturbed4Life99 On the black album theres a few songs that could be on a thrash album im sure if Of wolf and man, Holier then thoir, are the fastest songs on there they could fit in on And justice for all maybe

  • @JayT851 I think also that it could be the struggle within

  • @Disturbed4Life99 I think Exodus would be a good replacement for Metallica.

  • If your going to include Mettalica make sure that you say early Mettalica because there new stuff is vomit.

  • @vombaurs Ha its Metallica dude

  • @vombaurs its Metallica dude

  • All this talk about the Big 4 of thrash is annoying. How can you say Testament or Overkill or any of those other amazing bands "pioneered" the thrash genre when they are a part of the second wave of thrash? The list isn't of the "best" thrash bands, it's of the ones who basically founded the genre. So when you make a list, don't call it the Big 4 in an attempt to counter the true Big 4 list.

    1. Anthrax

    2. Slayer

    3. Metallica

    4. Megadeth

  • no virgins allowed lol

  • they still kick ass alright if ur too young to know who they r then dont listen or fuck off virgins lol

  • The real big four of Thrash Metal:

    1.- Slayer

    2.- Testament

    3.- Kreator

    4.- Megadeth

  • @G1usMustvine18 Hell yeah man Slayer and Testament need to be at the top!!!\m/

  • Err'body calm down

  • the bass sounds pretty nice :D

  • This brings back some memories.

  • 2:04

    el mejor solo waa

  • Wickedly fantastic.

  • @22CSX23 lol cool

  • 1: MegadetH

    2: Anthrax

    3: Slayer

    4: TestAmenT

  • @Havester0fSorrow You really are stupid. Testament was one of the second wave thrash bands, along with forbidden, Vio-ence etc. The big 4 is the bands who were the most inspirational and the biggest, just because you don't like Metallica doesn't mean they don't deserve to be on the big 4.

  • @zammylot i agree with you, metallica HAS been inspirational to alot of people, including me, the last 6 years of my life all i listened to was metallica, all i own was metallica, im wearing a death magnetic shirt right now, but i wasn't until i watched the big four on dvd last year i realized that metallica doesn't belong in the big four, and if they do, they should only be playing their first four albums, they are alternative rock/metal, not thrash. so should not be in the big 4 of thrash.

  • @zammylot And i really don't appreciate being call stupid, you could of made your point with out being go god damn mean.

  • @Havester0fSorrow Harden the fuck up. Should of thought about that before writing such a closed minded comment.

  • @zammylot You know what, FUCK!!!! YOU!!! YOUR THE CLOSE MINDED ONE YOU FUCKING LITTLE CUNT! YOUR THE CLOSE MINDED ONE BECAUSE YOU CAN JUST LET PEOPLE SAY WHAT THEIR OPINIONS ARE! YOU CAN GO DIE IN A FUCKING HOLE! I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE! I WAS TRYING TO LET YOU SAY WHAT YOUR OPINIONS ARE! BUT YOU HAD TO GO AND BE A FUCKING BRAT AND RUIN MY FUCKING DAY WITH YOUR FUCKING CLOSE MINDED FUCKING COMMENT! YEA IM THE CLOSE MINDED ONE! HAPPY FUCKING HOLIDAYS YOU FUCKING SHIT HEAD!

  • @Havester0fSorrow I normally don't like saying this, buuuuuuuuut...

    u mad bro?

  • @AdmiralGFM Yes, i was, I mad bro... very mad

  • @Havester0fSorrow I hope you had a very merry Christmas :)

  • @Zyborggian LOLZ i did too!! got another xbox!

  • @Havester0fSorrow Typing in caps does not make your point anymore better or valid than not. Its actually flat out annoying to read or look at, and it screams childish to anyone who may have the displeasure of reading it. By the way, try not to let people get under your skin on YouTube, and if they do, don't show it.

  • @zammylot Fuckin' props and a half to you for using "Harden the fuck up." in an insult. This just made my entire day. Thank you.

  • @Havester0fSorrow Slayer on top then u got it!

  • @Stonedpimpin76 ight,

  • Atleast they dont hate niggers.....

  • @SatanLovesMetal damn straight HAIL SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SatanLovesMetal wich thrash band hates niggers?

  • the bassist is a tripper

  • They played this when I saw them in London a while back, good shit!

  • Are we gonna sit around and talk about bands you don't like, or are we gonna listen to some fucking thrash? Come one guys, arguing like a bunch of little sissies.

  • 0:10 to 0:33 is a good HEAVEY Kick in the balls of a riff!

  • I like the re-recorded better, with the extended intro. This feels like it's lacking something I think

  • amazing

  • Meh... Honestly I found this boring, when compared to other thrash as well as when compared to Testament's earlier material.

  • Can't wait for the new album this year!!! SOULS OF BLACK!!!

  • Badass intro, sick bass

  • some parts of this song sounds like from whom the bell tolls

  • @jota7r I was thinking the same thing. This is pretty much Testament's For Whom the Bell Tolls

  • @TheGaMeRZ69 correction metaillica sounds like this band

  • This band sounds like Metallica... And Metallica is one of my favorite band ever!!

  • testament was the shit I miss alex s

  • @dirtymofo12321 He is back with em.

  • this song is fucking dope

  • Awsome riff!

  • Who gives a flying monkey's ass about genre? I listen to every metal genre there is! If you like it listen to it, if you don't like it change the fucking song. Fucking tards

  • @bbeboutuaa \m/ I couldn't have said it better myself \m/

  • I'm the 100

  • Testament has some amazing bass intro riffs, anybody notice this? :D lol

  • @Kizales if you would listen better you would hear that the base keeps on going through out the whole song and it even haves a semi solo

  • SOLD SOME CRACK!!! >:O ha j/k

  • you guys are dumb very dumb just chill and listen to the music wtf!!!!! you sound like babys i know my metal and you dont !!!!!!! whaaaaaaaaaa assholes!!!!!

  • 13, 666 views....>:D

  • I think I'd have to include Death Angel in there somewhere. Definately heavier than Testament with with a more intense precision. Testament does rock though. Megadeth for their intense lyricism and extreme metallic accuracy. And Slayer just because they're the be-all end-all when it comes to rock, metal, trash, death thrash, etc......

  • Arguably, Testament's best song of anything they did thru the 90s!

  • Comment removed

  • should have been the Big Five, because this band definatley helped define thrash metal.

also, one of the best album covers ever.

  • 6,666 views.... interesting

  • man love this song this band and Death are my favorite bands

  • \m/....\m/

  • Testament is definitely one of my favorite bands

  • Most people say '86 was the best for thrash, but i tend to like the '87-'90 period the most.

  • best 90 thrash :

    Souls Of Black

    Rust in Peace

    Season in th Abyss

  • Coma of Souls

    Lights Camera Revolution

    Cowboys from hell

  • i love suicidal but i would take out lights camera revolution and replace it with either souls of black or seasons in the abyss.

  • @MIGUELBO

Pantera weren't a thrash band, retard!

  • @SinisterManiac well if pantera is not trash metal, then what?

  • @M08bballer pantera is just metal thereis no category for them because pantera kicks so much ass

  • @dimebag0821 yea they kick ass man haha but they're groove metal. Check out Machine head, Lamb of god, Trivium, Gojira, Sepultura, Biohazard, White Zombie, Exhorder, A Perfect Murder, Black Label society, Devil Driver, Chimaira, throwdown and Living Sacrifice. probobaly know a few of these

  • @AIC2374 Only like half of those bands were metal or decent lmao.

  • @GGxBeast they're all good fag

  • @AIC2374 White Zombie is amazing,Chimaira is garbage and metalcore, not metal,Whitechapel is the same as Chimaria, but 10x worse,Machine head is meh,Lamb of God is not metal and bad,Trivium is core/hardrock and horrid,Gojira is meh,Biohazard is kinda borderline and decent,Black Label Society is amazing,Devildriver is meh,Throwdown is more core, and Living Sacrifice is good.

  • @GGxBeast chimaira i can understand. Machine head is beyond meh, you have no clue what you're saying, lamb of god IS metal, dont degrade them just because they're somewhat newer, not every band has to be from 1970-199 to be good, trivium i can understand, gojira is beyond meh, biozhazard is good, BLs is good, Devildriver, once again, not meh, throwdown is still good, and living

    sacrifice is great.

then of course pantera sepultura a percfect murder COC spiritual beggars exhorder devil driver

  • @AIC2374 Yes,I have a clue when I say Machine Head is meh.And Lamb of God is metalcore, which, like I've said, isn't metal. And Lamb of God was formed in the 90s,fyi.

  • @GGxBeast LAMB OF GOD ISNT METALCORE MAN. learn something. the vocals dont say everything i can tell you're one of those people since you think they're just a regular ole metalcore band because of the grunting. yea they formed in 1994 ut their first albuum was released in 1999 then from then their 4 best albums were 2000 - 2006 so.

once again, they're groove metal. before making an ignorant comment rresearch or something

  • @AIC2374 They don't grunt,they scream.Grunting is Death metal.

They fit metalcore perfectly, breakdowns, typical angsty lyrics, screaming, etc.Ik a lot more than you do,buddy. You need to do YOUR research.

  • @GGxBeast VOCAL STYLE ISNT EVERYTHING YOU STUPID FUCK. they're still groove metal whether he grunts or not. genres are based on tempo ranges, writing techniques, riffing techniques and what distortions/instruments/sound used. stupid fuck i JUST said in my last comment that vocals dont make the whole genre.

And PanterA grunts, SepulturA grunts, Machine Head grunts, Devil Driver grunts, Exhorder grunts....

YOU GONNA SAY THEY'RE NOT GROOVE METAL?! well i'd like to see you fucking try

  • @AIC2374 No fucking shit?Lamb of God doesn't grunt though. The reason Lamb of God is metalcore is their instrumentals, breakdowns etc.And I just said in my last comment that they're not metalcore just because of the vocals.

+Sepultura is Thrash/Death metal idiot, and Machine Head is thrash

Groove metal is probally the most loosely-defined genre in metal, seeing as just about every band labelled that is core or some other shit and not metal.Only groove metal bands are Pantera and their wannabes.

  • @GGxBeast you CLEARLY dont know what you're talking about. Go on Sepultura video and say thery're death metal, ask some people. Machine head is not thrashm once again, you're a fucking retard. and im pretty sure LAMB OF GOD DOESNT HAVE BREAKDOWN like i said in MY last comment. AND THEYIR INSTRUMENTALS ARENT FUCKING METALCORE. jesus you're so fucking stupid

  • @AIC2374 Sepultura is thrash, and combined death elements with it L.And I've listened to atleast two Lamb of God albums and I heard breakdowns in it lmfao. And half the bands labelled as "groove metal" aren't even metal..

  • @GGxBeast wow. just shut up you're an idiot.

breakdwons, what band DOESNT have breakdowns? Its a fuucking part of a song format toooons of bands have breakdowns it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with metalcore. Even classic rock bands do.

You gonna call the song Swingtown by Steve Miller metalcore?

And yea they kinda are considered metal. tell me which ones arent

Sepultura is Death and thrash, yes, but also Groove Metal. And more so that than the other 2

  • @AIC2374 What band doesn't have breakdowns?

Just about every metal band. And I never said breakdowns are only in metal.

Also,Groove Metal is essentialy Post-Thrash,so basically, you just said Sepultura is Thrash,Death, and Post thrash.Makes a lot of sense I guess

  • @GGxBeast ?????? dude, once again you're ignorant. Groove isnt post thrash, it was around the same time of thrash there was groove metal, just thrash was more popular.

letting you know Pantera's first album was 1983

  • @AIC2374 I never said it was,I said it's essentialy post thrash.and you're calling me ignorant?Pantera's first 4 or so releases were all Hardrock/Glam rock and influenced by bands like Kiss.I believe Cowboys from Hell came out in 90?Thrash has it's roots back to 81,with Venom's Welcome to Hell.

The only bands labelled Groove metal that are actual metal and not core etc I can think of are Pantera,Gojira, maybe Throwdown,Machine Head,Byzatine, etc

  • @GGxBeast haha yea i knew you would catch me on that.

but exhorder formed in 1985, and hey were the first groove band.

and still, Sepultura is all 3, it really doesnt matter what time or place, they actually inspired groove metal (of course not as much as Pantera) not only did they play it.

  • @GGxBeast Groove metal isnt loosely defined. their riffs are usually a bunch of low disterted riffs that have high notes/squeeled notes to accent. they have a certain tempo range, thats groovy/catchy (hence the name groove metal.)

the vocals are usually aggressive (which, like i said, is only 1 ASPECT). Pick bass is often used, double bass drum (obviously), and a lot of groove metal bands have very unusual formats. they usually take off at the last 1:30 or so and increase tempo

  • @M08bballer southern/groove metal

  • @M08bballer groove modt likely

  • @SinisterManiac Pantera was most definitely thrash. There was a lot of groove in their songs, so at most you'd be able to label them as a thrash/groove cross. In any case, saying they're not thrash is plain stupid.

  • @Sekiath thats a hilarious "observation"

  • @Sekiath Actually, no. Groove metal is a watered down version of thrash, and what a lot of people refer to as post-thrash. Groove metal is not thrash metal, therefore Pantera are not thrash. Having an occasional thrashy riff doesn't automatically put you in the thrash genre, and it certainly doesn't make Pantera a thrash band. They are/were the prime definition of groove metal. End of story.

  • @VictimsOfSilence Anyone who grew up listening to metal in the 80's would know that Pantera are not a thrash metal band. Unfortunately when arguing with guys that have a education of metal through Guitar Hero is futile.

In your words " They are/were the prime definition of groove metal.

End of story." Anyone who dissagrees knows nothing about that genre

  • @hurakannaranja, what about swallowed in black?

  • @hurakannaranja

What about "Slaughter in the Vatican" by Exhorder (1990)!!??

  • @SinisterManiac Exhorder is more groove but i guess thrash

  • @hurakannaranja You're missing records like Heathen's Victims of Deception and Artillery's By Inheritance.

  • Killer fucking album

  • when was this album made? i forgot... =b

  • 1990

  • Damn the bass is intro is killer! The bass stays crazy technical the whole way through.

  • Just like every other album. Greg Christian rapes on the bass!!!

  • All hail Chuck Billy.

  • This is the title track. But as always Alex is God.

  • I haven't heard this song in forever. One of my favorites.
