I was nineteen when this came out. The song was clearly promoting drug use but we had none so we tried smoking banana peel that we were told would get you high.
Does every copy of this 45 have the high-pitched squeal in the intro? I have an original Immediate 45 like yours, as well as an Epic/CBS grey label reissue with an identical matrix, and both have it.
Love vinyl Love 45s especially REALLY love this classic dance track. Please check out M People 12" version of this song as well, and Rod Stewart rules. I wish my record rooms looked that orderly. Thank you for this festive song with all those swirly sound effects!
hey wabcradio77 always great to see you back where you belong i have a serious question that has bogeled my mind for years when ever i hear this song what is that fade type effect the small faces use in itchycoo park??? p.s. really love the vinyl don't go nowhere!!!
